Awesome food! Tacos dorados are great. Every other order being called out was the hash brown burrito, I’ll have to try it next time.

wow. huge portions. great authentic food. great variety. only setback… it is very popular so lines/wait can be 15−20min for food — but it’s worth it.

My son and I had lunch at this little authentic taco shop at the eastern side of Pacific Beach and it was terrific. Everything there is made-to-order, so this was definitely NOT fast food. Be patient, it’s worth the wait. He had the shrimp diablo and I had the chicken quesadilla. That was some gooood stuff!

I was recommended this place by a Toyota worker while getting an oil change. This place did not disappoint. Make sure you try their al pastor if you like pork. It was cooked very well and had a great marinade. Also ordered the carne asada fries and it was pretty darn good. The fries they use were well done and so it enhanced the flavor. The refried beans were included in this version and although I’m usually not a fan, it worked. They have two different salsas but I liked the red one better cause it had more consistency rather than the verde salsa. If I come back I would try the infamous hash brown burrito.

Aside from everything being the same as a normal taco shop. This place was okay. I was pretty stoked to eat here since the place with the same name on Cass street is amazing. Sadly that didn’t reflect here. I uploaded a picture of a super over cooked beef taco. Why would you even plate that to serve??? Either way. It looked somewhat clean but I didn’t go in the kitchen, I could see a bunch of dust in the overhead though. I’ll probably never come here or recommend this place again. The lady at the counter was very nice though.

I would give no stars if Unilocal had that option. This place is a filthy and disgusting environment. I am almost certain this place has cockroaches. This business is always dirty, bathrooms are always dirty, there is no customer service here, the food is average at best and to top it all off everything is ridiculously overpriced. Avoid this place by all means. Instead go to a better establishment like Roberto’s in Claremont drive worth the drive.

Had the el pastor and carnitas tacos. Good flavor but not enough for me to return. Also had the fish soup. Good flavor but a bit weak. The fish is really fresh. I liked that they fried the fish to get a nice golden crust on the outside before adding it to the soup. This keeps the fish pieces whole and not break into little pieces in the soup.

I came here several times as it was one of the few restaurants near my hotel. It was good, the people were friendly. The food was always very good.

So I was super stoked about this place based on all these«5 stars» people are giving out however sadly it was just a «3» for me: at least based on my experience today. Yes the prices are low, yes they have a lot of options in the menu, yes the cashier is sweet however the food was just«EH». I go to taco shops at least 3 times a month and have tried a ton, this spot for me just doesn’t do it. There was nothing«special» really standing out. Something to point out however is the fact that they use shredded WHITE American cheese. That is pretty tasty, however they should have an option to get the classic mixed blend as well. The chips were flavorless, and I tried the chicken rolled tacos… reminded me of frozen ones you’d find at a grocery store. Here is the saddest part of the whole experience… THEGUACAMOLEWASWATERY/liquid like texture and had cilantro, onions and other crap in it. I wanted just your typical GREENGUACAMOLE found at every other taco shop in California. I was super sad, especially since I paid almost $ 3 for a tiny thing. I left full but again it was just Blah, not anything worth going back for.

This place was a great find. My wife loves Mexican food and we were pressed for time, so we chose the closest place to our hotel that wasn’t a national chain. I had the chicken enchiladas and my wife had the steak nachos. All the food was great, fresh and the portions were very generous. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars was the carne asada was a little over cooked, but other than that the meal was great. I should also mention that the salsa was amazing, it totally made the meal. Come to think of it… In my opinion, you can always judge a good Mexican restaurant by there salsa. Usually bad salsa, bad food. Not the case here! If we are back in the area we definitely will be back :)

Just can’t get enough of this place! The only thing I get here is the hash brown burrito. It’s seriously the bestest breakfast burrito in SD! The hash brown layered with sausage AND bacon then showered with some cheese and sour cream is to DIE for!!! I also love that their salsa is in those big ketchup and mustard containers. Always go for the red! Plus, the petite Spanish cashier lady is super sweet.

I ordered 5 rolled tacos. Total came out to be almost $ 7. Quality of food was eh. I asked for light lettuce, the cook over loaded it with lettuce. Not sure if the guacamole was watery or it was from all the lettuce. And the guacamole had a bland taste. Came here for my lunch break and probably my wont return.

This is our FAVORITE burrito place in PB! The breakfast hashbrown burrito is the best. Perfectly crispy hashbrowns combine with 2 different types of meat, eggs, avocado and not too much cheese for a hangover cure for the ages. Once recovered from our hangover, we return for a Cali burrito of equal proportion. Crispy fries and delicious carne asada provide a perfect stomach coating for another night of PB fun!

This is a classic hole in the wall Taco shop. You can eat in, but you probably won’t want to. I really like the rolled tacos here. They cover them in lettuce and Guacamole. The Burritos are too dry for my taste. Service is pretty quick. Prices are low.

My friend introduced me to this hidden gem in PB. I will only do a review on their breakfast burritos since I’ve only had their Buenas Dias burrito which comes with fries, egg, and carne asada. It also comes with chips on the side! Who does that nowadays!!! Most mexican restaurants don’t do that because they’re too cheap to give their customers free chips! But anywhooo, they have sauces served in bottles which is good because I hate taking frequent trips to the salsa bar! They got green sauce, red sauce, and house special sauce. Go for their house special sauce. It’s a bit on the spicy-er side… but soo damn good. Definitely give this place a try! I will come back and try other entrees.

The hashbrown breakfast burrito is a FIVE for sure IDK about anything else because I am freekin hooked on that. It is completely different than any breakfast burrito I have ever had because they fry shredded hash browns to a crunchy crisp and layer fried eggs(not scrambled) on it with cheese, sour cream, jimmy deanish sausage, and bacon which I omit. I do not care for the bacon here I know it sounds like crazy talk but the bacon is large chunks and weird cuts. It’s $ 6 and a decent size. They don’t put anything weird in it like beans or lettuce… It’s just crunchy deliciousness in a home made tasting tortilla. The lady who runs the show is a peach! Maybe someday I will try something else here but I don’t think I can. I drool just thinking about that burrito. The red sauce is better than the green. Every time I come it’s full of Mexicans so If they like it well I think that speaks volumes.

Plain & simple, good little hole in the wall. Food is authentic Mexican food. I ordered pollo asada tacos, with rice and beans, pretty bomb! Service is not horrible, food came out pretty fast, your order gets screamed out just like in Mexico.

I ordered a tostada with no cheese, no sour cream(no diary). She said okay, but then when the food was ready some 20 mins later she comes out with my tostada covered in cheese. She looks at me & before I said anything was like«oh you didn’t want cheese? Or is this okay?». I replied annoyed«no cheese» she goes back & they just picked most of the cheese off & gave it back to me. I kept finding little shreds of cheese(which I’m allergic to) in my food. I would give negative stars is I could. Bad/lazy/slow service. Will never return, or recommend this place to anyone.

i don’t give many 5 stars but this place deserves it! we were staying with friends nearby and were craving for some good mexican breakfast that was within walking distance. this popped up on Unilocal so we decided to give it a try. it’s definitely not something you would spot driving by since most people driving on this main rode is in a rush to get to the bars. the place is small with a few tables inside and a couple out on the sidewalk. they actually have a breakfast menu, not just burritos and tacos. i love that they have OMELETS! their omelet menu is set to specific ingredients and since i am super picky about what i eat, i asked for a little modification, which they granted with no reservations! you know how some restaurants are, they hate when people ask for substitutions or request for changes in the ingredients. but not this place! so i basically asked for a Baja Cali omelet(cheese, avocado and sour cream) for approx $ 8 but i took out the cheese and sour cream and asked for shredded chicken. i know, it’s weird to have chicken with chicken, don’t judge me :) the omelet was DELICIOUS! they don’t use that powder egg crap that some places use to make omelets and their beans was super tasty as well! i tried coming back again after my first time here but it was too early and they hadn’t open yet. but this is definitely one of the top places to get some good mexi breakfast!

Considering we walked in 15 min till closing… the cashier and cook were sweet. I ordered the 3 rolled tacos for under $ 3.50 and a strawberry churro. *they have a mandatory $ 5 minimum for use of a credit/debit card* the ‘rolled tacos’ or taquitos were good. I had the choice of potato, chicken or beef. I had potato and it was a great choice! The strawberry filled churro was soooo good. Never had that before. It was very crisp and warm. This is a typical hole in the wall style place albeit clean and decorated with pics of Pancho Villa and art by Diego Rivera or Frida Kahlo… I can’t recall from my art history HS class. Anyway. A 27″ tv hung in the corner con telemundo on. The rest of the menu looked to be pricey… soft tacos for $ 3.30 each… although they looked to be bigger and packed w meat to make 2 tacos out of one… guess that’s for you to decide.
