I am so glad I found this place! They have absolutely gorgeous dresses with amazing detail. The owner is very honest, kind, and patient. He is also very detail oriented and highly skilled at his craft. Not only do they have abs alter beautiful dresses for women, they also alter fine suits and outfits for men. First off, I had one week to find a dress for my friend’s ball and I went to probably ten different places until I was finally led here! The man who owns the shop was so helpful and patient as I went through their catalogue to find the perfect dress! And when I finally found one it came within the next two days, and he was even able to get it fitted for me by the next day. For being really stressed by finding a last minute dress, I was really happy I came upon this place :) the dress was gorgeous and cheap compared to other places I looked. I got numerous compliments throughout the night. Definitely recommend!

Hasib was such a great help to finding the perfect dress for my brothers wedding! Not only are there tons of choices, but the service is quick and speedy. For Muslim Women who choose to wear the hijab there are options for them as well, Hasib is more than open to adding sleeves to dresses that do not already have them. Hasib is genuine and really cares about his customers satisfaction. Not only that but the prices are awesome! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a dress for any special occasion!

I stumbled here on accident while my mom was shopping at Balboa International market and I am very glad I did! The owner was so kind and answered all of the questions I had. I happened to be looking for a reception dress to wear for the reception of my wedding and the selection at Elegant Design was perfect!
I ended up getting a gorgeous off-​white dress with lots of detailed bead work. I was very pleased with the quality of the dress as well as the price I paid for it. Everyone at my reception thought I paid 5X the amount that I actually paid for it and the dress was a hit… everyone wanted to know where I got it from and it definitely made me feel like a princess that night.
If you need a dress for a reception, prom, gala, or fancy dinner party, I recommend this place without reservation!

I found elegant designs through my mother in law who saw this store on the way to the balboa market. I’m so glad I took her advice!
The owner and his wife, both tailors, are amazing with their skills. I had two wedding dresses tailored to perfection. Though it wasn’t the exact length the first time, they were very patient with me and fixed the length just as I wanted. In the store, they also sell a beautiful collection of dresses they made or they will make any dress from scratch that you desire! The owner recently opened his store at this location but has been in the business for over 20 years. Come support a local business!
For the ladies who have wedding gowns and prom dresses, I’ve shopped around and this store has a fair price. Some tailors charge a ridiculous price just because they know they can and they take months to get your dress ready. But this store will have your dress within 1 – 2 weeks with great craftsmanship.

Hasib was courteous, extremely helpful and his dresses were amazing — especially for the prices. His beautiful dresses are not surprising considering that Hasib used to work for a famous designer in Europe.
Highly recommended for those looking for name brand styles and quality without the exorbitant prices. Thank you for accentuating my new wife’s beauty with her evening gown!

This place is amazing! The owner has so much experience working with women and mens clothing. I had a few of my clothes altered and if turned out perfect. Not only does he do alterations but he also does custom made dresses made from scratch. The custom made clothes are all made in house;meaning he doesn’t send it anywhere to be many shops around. He handles everything from start to finish. Will do business again!
