Embodiment Arts Expressive Arts & Holistic Bodywork

Wow! Not sure really where to begin… Elizabeth’s hands are truly gifted. I’ve been seeing her for over 7 years, and my only regret is not posting this review sooner for others to read and hopefully get the help needed to improve their well-​being. Even my wife and friends of mine who have seen her, speak highly.
She’s also an instructor at one of SD’s top Massage Schools and runs her own business, which explains why she’s so well knowledgable and educated.
I just walked out of my massage session and the pain in my lower back, which I’ve had since January, is finally completely gone. She’s got the healing touch!

It starts with genuine listening to what I say and what she perceives my body needs… without an agenda and fully following my responses. Elizabeth’s work is very creative and in all the years I have been seeing her, I haven’t had the same session twice. She always uses the right amount of pressure for the area she is working and instantly adjusts to any request. Entering into a session with Elizabeth is about leaving the rest of the world and it’s troubles out, and going deeply into the body for either working out an issue or escaping it all for a while. I always feel renewed and in good spirit.
Elizabeth at Embodiment Arts is one of the best bodyworkers I have had the pleasure to work with, if not the best. I have been in the field of Holistic Health and bodywork since 1998 and I am speaking from experience when I say this.
There is a distinct downside to these sessions… it will be two weeks before my next session…

about sensory repatterning:
the most psychoactive bodywork i’ve ever had. i saw colors and experienced time distortion. the session felt great, but the best part was the feeling i walked away with. i experienced less of a skeletomuscluar effect than with other forms of massage/​bodywork, and more of an amazing feeling of «how can i bring my behavior into accord with this new perspective on my past and present so that my future is hospitable to my current feelings and mood.» the work really penetrated the timeline of my life.
others may experience something else, but at the very least, some VERY deep relaxation is in order for all!
about elizabeth:
i showed up to the address with no expectations. as it was my first session with her, elizabeth led me through a very in-​depth in-​take process (30 mins). in my experience, it’s very rare for a professional to spend so much time and give so much genuine attention to a person, be they client or patient. she is truly an exceptional practitioner, teacher, and person. :)

Doesn’t really count for me to give myself a rating, but I’ll quote one of my clients:
My expressive arts sessions provided the most amazing perspective because it came from the inside out. I saw, visually, so many things I couldn’t have seen just «thinking». And, when things came up that were painful, there was a «vessel» into which I could pour all of those feelings.
