Flashbacks(in Hillcrest) has great clothes, affordable prices, and they always buy something off of me(I guess my style is weird and vintage enough for them to buy — unlike Buffalo Exchange across the street!). The problem is, as mentioned before, is the staff. Now I get what Clarice is saying, give them a break because of the idiots walking into the store… because customer service can be a bitch, etc. That still does not give the associates any reason to act rude towards their customers. We are buying from the store, generating business. That should make them happy! Look, I’ve worked at shitty retail stores as well — many times I did not want to be nice to the customers. You know what though? I still held my head high and went through it. There is absolutely no reason to treat a customer like crap just because 1.) You are having a bad day or 2.) The customer is asking for help. Sometimes the customer has done nothing, but is still treated poorly. Snobby, I think so. So… as a store, I love the clothes. I love the clothing and accessory options, I love how it is affordable, I love how there is ACTUAL vintage. I just don’t like the attitude of the associates. They are as bad as those working in Bloomingdales — hell, at least Bloomingdales associates smile at you and ask if you need help(even if they don’t want to).
