The waitress was friendly and the service was fast. For $ 8, the salad I ordered was huge and was covered in fresh herbs and nicely grilled chicken. It was delightful food.

First time here and wow!!! Food is amazing! Delicious hummus and the freshest! I got the falafel wrap and I haven’t tasted better falafel anywhere! Place is operated by a couple and they take pride in what they serve their customers! She asked me three times what I thought about her food and of course I told her the truth – delicious!!! I have to come back to this place! Yum!

Delicious Lebanese food, their garlic sauce is so very authentic. I have been on the hunt for Lebanese food like this. They have cheap prices too!

This was my second time here. The first time I had the Chicken kabobs. They were okay. The dip that comes with it was okay. The salad was very good although swimming in dressing. This time, I ordered the dressing on the side. The bread that came with the meal was okay as well. Today, I had the beef kabob. A much better choice. It came with hummus and the entire meal was very good. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying all of the other dishes. I wanting to try the shawarma.

Great customer service and amazing food at a fair price! Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait a bit. But the freshness of the of the food definitely worth the short wait. You just can’t go wrong with the Hanna Garden.

Good authentic Lebanese food at a fare price. Small mom and pop atmosphere dinner. Nice and clean as well.

Came here during a week day lunch. This place had pretty good reviews so wanted to check it out. Parking can be tight. Hanna Garden is located in a strip mall with McDonald’s and a few other businesses. The inside décor is that of a mom and pop shop, a bit old fashioned. I ordered the chicken schawerma sandwich and a side of fries. Others ordered schawerma plate, mixed kebab plate, and beef schawerma sandwich. We ordered our food to go. It did take a bit for our food, and I imagine it is because they cook everything once you order. I am not a fan of the food. First off the chicken schawerma sandwich was dry. It was suppose to come with a garlic sauce, but I didn’t taste or see any in there. The overall sandwich was dry and flavorless. The fries were soft and possibly slightly undercooked. I couldn’t eat the fries and was disappointed with the sandwich. I wasn’t sure if it was just my sandwich that was dry and bland, or if others felt the same. Overall our group did not like the food. The lady taking our order seemed pretty nice and was possibly the owner. Not sure if it was an off day because based on other reviews I was expecting to be amazed. I will not be back.

I feel a tad bad about the two stars because she was was friendly. However, I just cannot allow myself to give three. It started with the ordering. As I eagerly held a twenty in my hand — the register started acting up. After multiple button pushing, I offered to pay with my card since I could feel the impatience of the person behind me. Then, the food took a little while to prepare(not because the place was busy, but because the food was fresh). Which would had been okay, if the food turned out to be worth while. I chose the beef schawarma. She assured me that I should not substitute with the garlic sauce. The wrap was dry and the beef was tasteless. My side of fries was soggy and tasted more like raw potato. I wish I had the garlic sauce. The whole lunch experience was disappointing, especially since the reviews were generally positive. It may have been an off-day, but I will not be returning.

Fantastic falafel! Probably the best I have had. The salads are also so fresh and delicious. I really think of this as a homemade food restaurant in a nice location for a quick bite.

OK, gotta run around town, do the errand thing on Miramar Road, lots of traffic lights, grumble, grumble… might as well pull into McD’s for an artery bomb… wait…what’s this? A new Lebanese Restaurant? AND it gets high marks from fellow Unilocalers? Time to kick that Red-Headed McNugget Clown to the curb and sit down to for a healthy meal at Hanna Garden. This place is definitely a winner! Like folks say — husband and wife team working together — and the food was excellent. You can see from the presentation that they do an awful lot of prep work to produce food this fresh(from the sliced pickles, fresh tomatoes, romaine lettuce, parsley…). I ordered the beef shawarma(very good — and REALLY like that they toast the pita!!) and a side of Falafel. Definitely order the falafel — it is unlike any other I have tried in the past — very light & very fluffy! I have to come back to give them that extra star — it is so there — and gives me the excuse to come back and try other things… like the Sambosic, like the chicken… The only drawback is that the place looks a little run down and tired. The classic picture menu on the window does not do much for the view and the interior is just a hodge-podge of mismatched chairs and tables(think ‘Isle of Misfit Toys’) — but quality of the food far supersedes the ambience. And the service was extremely personable and friendly!

Yes! It’s me and mediterranean food again! Sorry to say but I’m addicted! Hanna Garden Restaurant is two man operation, husband and wife, the husband is the cook and the wife is the Server, once a while they have a helper who comes and goes. Like I have said in the past, Mediterranean food is very hard and difficult to get it right, you really need an art of cooking and this people seems to have it in them. It takes a long time to cook the food you have to have patience, if you were in a rush please don’t bother going there, it does not take too long but it takes a good amount of time, remember it’s not your regular fast food. I usually call in and that makes it fast, I highly recommend doing that as we all never have enough time for lunch. There used to be in Mexican restaurant for a very long time but this couple bought it and turn it into a Lebanese food, they haven’t done any changes except some tiles work. decoration is not as important as the quality of the food and looks like they have a real good quality and consistency. I have been here a few times, the service has been the same as well as the quality of the food. Will be back for sure!

Wow. That is so embarrassing. I left a WRONG review for this wonderful place that I visited while in San Diego!!! Like a slap to the face, I apologize to the restaurant owner and want to clarify that this restaurant was a breath of fresh air as far as their cuisine. The servers(I think they were the owner as well) showed us a ton of compassion in their quick service and the food was delicious. We had a ton of their delicious plates and the dessert as well which was the sticky stuff(can’t remember what they were called) but everything was tasty and very clean. Their dining atmosphere is very quaint and while it’s Spartan, I think it points to the fact that their food is authentic and very no-nonsense in the fact that it tastes great and they don’t need the décor to prove it. I think I like the whole Mom and Pop feel of the restaurant. Great place, will definitely come back!

Best falafel in San Diego! Hanna Garden is a great find — gourmet food at everyday prices. I just had the Chicken Salad and the dressing is AMAZING and the portion size is very large at a very good price. The falafels are very good as well — the best I have had in San Diego!

Craving for a Garlic chicken wrap from mama’s bakery and this was then closest to me. For under $ 7 this wasn’t bad. The pita bread was not as fluffy but it seemed like it was a wheat pita. It also is about half the size compared to Mama’s but it satisfied my lunch need, whereas Mama’s is too much to eat in one sitting. The chicken wasn’t dry and I love that they added pickles(there’s tahini, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes & pickles). The place was very clean with a decent amount of seating.

Excellent, very delicious mediterranean food! Very clean restaurant, and kitchen! I would say, the closest to home made Arabic food, definitely authentic. It’s a must try for sure!!! You will be a regular. They also do catering, and the food is amazingly good every time with pleasant service.

Though good, I’m kinda bummed that I went with the tuna melt on my visit to Hanna Garden. I know, I know. Who goes to a place that receives top to bottom praise for their Mediterranean dishes and orders a tuna melt? This guy! You may think that I’m bagging on this tuna melt right now but I’m really not. It was a solid, well-balanced, not too fishy sandwich, but my food envy kept me from loving it. You see, the gyro that my buddy ordered looked and tasted awesome! Why didn’t I order it?! Ugh, perhaps it was because I just got back from Europe where there was a gyro stand on every corner and I was burnt out, or maybe it’s because I wanted to see how well-rounded Hanna Garden was, but any way I slice it, I failed myself. The décor: tacky/dated The food: sure to be five-stars on my next visit Will be back sooner than later!

Fantastic Lebanese food!!! The salads were super fresh with a good homemade dressing. Shwarma, kabobs, fresh and light pitas, lightly seasoned basmati rice, saposics, and killer garlic sauce. If we lived here, we’d be here all the time! Very clean place. The husband and wife team are welcoming and friendly, eager to please and present excellent food at good prices.

When I learned they made Sambosic, a light pastry filled with seasoned ground beef, onions, and pine nuts, well I just had to come to get some and more. In addition to the sambosic, I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a small side of hummus with warm flat bread( ). There were six little sambosic on the plate and they were excellent( ). They were perfectly fried to a golden brown, the dough was crispy, and had great flavor( ). The ground beef was well seasoned with mild middle eastern herbs, tender minced onions, and tasty pine nuts: a combination of ingredients that went very well together( ). They were great also to eat in combination with the hummus they make in house. The hummus was very good and came with a flavorful olive oil and a appropriate dusting of paprika( ). The flavor of the hummus was great and so was its texture. It was creamy with a slight graininess that is usually expected. The wrap was a good 12 inches long and came filled with tender chicken shawarma( ). The chicken inside tasted great and I really enjoyed it in combination with the tomatoes, parsley, onions, and that fantastic garlic yogurt sauce( ). The wrap also came with some Lebanese pickles that added a mild sourness and crunchy texture( ). This wrap was well put together. Service is a little slow, but very friendly, and the food was very good, so I did not mind the wait. The wrap was only $ 5.99…
