Marcella is a very dedicated chef that loves what she does and really cares about people’s health. Her dishes are delicious and super tasty. I tried a few of her dishes and every time I try one I can’t believe that she can cook something even better. Super recommend this food and service. Not mention the convenience of having a delicious healthy food delivered to your door :)

I love Health Grub! I hired them to cater lunch for a week for our office (we have lunch catered daily). We were tired of the same old thing and eating food that wasn’t particularly healthy. Our team was so happy with the food (which is creative and awesome each time) that I have hired them on an ongoing basis. We’re happy, well fed, and feeling better than when we were ordering from various local restaurants. I highly recommend them!

I wanted to take a moment to share what a positive experience I have had with Health Grub! Since having these meals I feel a difference in my body; my health is better overall due to the organic and gluten-​free products that they always use in their meals, my weight is down because of the healthy portion controlled meals that I choose each week, and my energy level is up. I appreciate how the menu is ever evolving, therefore I am never bored with the meals. Having the meals delivered to my place of business is a perfect convenience and worth the few extra dollars, in my opinion, to ensure that I am eating a healthy lunch, that my body will appreciate. On a side note, every question that I have ever asked to Health Grub has been addressed professionally and promptly; not to mention the owners have been so helpful and supportive of my needs and requests. I feel grateful to have found such a great food delivery service in the San Diego area! I will continue to recommend them to anyone I know that cares about what they put in their bodies!

I ordered a few different meals from Health Grub last week and it far exceeded my expectations. I used to use Get Fresh SD which went out of business a few months ago, I loved their food but Health Grub far surpasses it in taste and variety. The best part about this service is that a number of the options can be made vegetarian and the portions sizes are quantified by calories. This is an ideal service for anyone who is busy but trying to maintain a healthy (but delicious) diet. I’ve already got my order in for next week and cant wait to try the new dishes. Highly recommended!

I have tried many meal prep/​food delivery services both in San Diego and in Texas. Health Grub is by far my favorite! The meals are a little pricier than some… but they make up for it in taste and service! My meals are conveniently delivered to my office every Monday. The food is so delicious. I really look forward to eating my meals, which is something I can’t say about many of the other places I have tried. I’ve noticed a difference in the freshness of Health Grub’s meals, as well. They really do stay fresh all week. I am also very impressed by how well they run their business. I have only once had an issue, one of my meals was forgotten, and Chef Marcella responded right away. She credited my account and sent me an extra treat the following week. I highly recommend!

This review is so overdue! I don’t even know where to start … Chef Marcella save my life every week !!! I work long hours, have a family to take care of, super busy!!! health is priority in my book. We eat healthy, we appreciate good food! Health Grub offers a variety of meals, healthy and delicious. Usually I order 2 family meals every week. My son is 3yo love her food ! I’m so glad ! I tend to avoid food that is advertised as gluten free because of the stigma of decreased flavor that is associated with it. This is not at all the case with Health Grub. I don’t request anything more specific than whatever they are making, I’ll take it. So good, so flavorful, so healthy, just give me more!

I’ve now had a few weeks of meals, and every single one has been delicious. My husband and I are so thrilled to have found this place. The XL size is perfect for us.

As a busy mom I am loving this food delivery service! They use fresh, healthy ingredients and even have an organic option. Much healthier than takeout and more convenient since they deliver right to your door. Tonight we were eating one of their dishes (chicken, brown rice, and veggies), and my two preschool-​aged sons were saying «I love it when Heath Grub makes dinner, yum yum.» What more could a mom ask for? :)

We are so thankful we found these guys, the food is fresh and tasty. The convenience of having it delivered makes our busy schedule work so much easier. Karen and Mark you have a great business, please keep it up.

I feel so lucky I found these guys! I am a single professional homeowner & hardly any time in my life outside of my job to cook or prep weekly food. I used Chefs Diet in the past. I did like having food delivered, even lost weight. However, I stopped using them about a year ago due to the advance commitments they stick you with, sales harassment, expensive prices and just average food. I heard about Chef Mark and Karen at Health Grub from another SD friend that raved. I tried them out for a week and wow! Impressive customer service, delivery as promised, food is super and prices rock. There is a huge difference in getting fresh well cooked food & locally grown veggies from HG over the mass quantity stuff I was getting before. Even my boyfriend who has given me a hard time in the past with Chefs Diet is now ordering with me at Health Grub weekly. Coming home on Monday nights to find the food at my door has made me like Mondays! Thanks Chef Mark & Karen!

Fantastic food, and fantastic service. We get 3 meals a week, + a salad and the X Large portion feeds my husband, my 3 year old and me.
The food tastes SO good, and is super healthy too. Karen and Mark are lovely people and their passion for great food and customer service show in everything they do.

This food is AMAZING! After going gluten free I thought I was just going to be eating air and water. I was so excited when I found Health Grub. Mark is truly a magician in the kitchen. Everything is perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. It’s REAL food and REALLY good! I have found the answer to eating out — I don’t. I have it brought to me and I know that it is healthy, satisfying and better than anything I could make — and I’m pretty good in the kitchen! You won’t be disappointed!

I waited a few weeks to write a review on this business to see if the food was consistently good. Well after 3 weeks I have to say I haven’t had a bad meal yet. Love the food and will continue buying it. Very nice people to deal with.

I found these guys because they’re right in my neighborhood, and I walk by their delivery truck with my dog nearly every day. I am severely gluten-​intolerant, and after repeatedly accidentally poisoning myself in restaurants, I finally decided to give them a shot.
Holy cow, the food is good. It is. So. Good. To have such healthy, delicious meals that I don’t have to worry about getting sick from does my heart good in so many ways. I’m seriously getting emo about it.
Budget restraints keep me from doing this more often, but it’s worth every penny.

We have been happy customers for several months now. The food is good, the menus are varied, and we are doing well at managing our weight. We get 4 meals per week and I don’t think we’ve had the same meal twice. Chef Mark does wonders with vegetables — you actually want to eat them. It is easy to place your weekly order and the delivery option is reliable and convenient. We leave an ice chest on the porch with some blue ice packs in it and by the time we get home our meals have been delivered. We have also found that we are saving a little money not going out to dinner as frequently. We are two adults and we order the XL size meals. They fill us up and we usually have a bit leftover for one of us to take to work the next day for lunch. We had been eating so much high-​sodium processed food it took our taste buds a bit of time to adjust to «real» food. We typically add a nice big grind of black pepper to each meal, but have weaned ourselves of the salt shaker in a matter of weeks. None of the meals have been spicy, so they will appeal to most palates. Thanks to Chef Mark and his crew for ensuring that we sit down to a healthful dinner at least four nights a week!

This has been my greatest blessing of 2012! Their meals are amazing and after living on fast food the last five years, the health benefits were immediate as I am feeling fantastic emotionally and physically (I lost 7lbs in the first 2 weeks!!). I no longer have to snack in between meals and appreciate the balance in my day without the highs and lows from bad carbs. The convenience can’t be matched, especially taking my lunch to work when as a nurse you savor every precious few minutes on your break! I am saving time and money PLUS eating, feeling great and supporting a local family business. Chef Mark and crew are absolutely wonderful and their talents are changing lives for the better!
