I have been searching for the best nail salon to do the perfect pedicure in San Diego. I have found it here.
I get my pedicure done the same way each time-​white french tip. I love getting it done by Tammy or this one older lady. They both do a consistent job of the perfect white french tip pedicure (french tip is not too thick or thin) and the top coat they use is a natural color instead of the artificial pink top coat that some shops use. The pedicure lasts me about a month-​no chips. I also enjoy the foot/​leg massage they give you.
The reason I gave Hello Bella only 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the inconsistency amongst their staff. There is one staff member (young lady) who I got twice and both times she did a horrible job in the finished product (french tip was too thick and she used that awful pink top coat). Just a side note: when someone is touching your feet, you don’t want them to delicately touch your foot as it felt like she was tickling me the entire time. If you’re touching my feet, I want you to be handling that with a firm grasp instead of gently grazing your fingers all over my foot and it doesn’t help that I am very ticklish. Also in another instance, there was a young boy that was about to do my pedicure. (I have nothing against males and my nails but this boy looked like he was in high school, plus he was going to be touching my feet and I felt uncomfortable with that). So as he was setting up, I asked him who would be doing my pedi and he said he was. I politely declined and waited for the next available lady. Unfortunately, the next available lady was the young lady who did a horrendous job. I ended up staying at the nail salon for 3 hours to finish a simple french pedicure.
Anyway, I recommend you to ask for Tammy or the older lady and tip them generously as they do an amazing job! $ 26 for a Spa french tip pedicure + $ 10 tip that will last you a month– deal!

I went in two weeks ago to get my nails done (stiletto acrylic set), and they still look flawless. From my experience at other places, my nails would start chipping by now. So far, no chips/​cracks to be seen. The lady who did my nails was up front with the pricing before I got anything done, which I loved. The pricing too, was very decent. Will be coming back again for future mani/​pedis :)

This is gonna be my go to nail salon! The prices are great and I’ve only had acrylic nails twice and it was the best. My friend got her nails done here and they were sooo pretty.

I’ve been going to 5 different nail salons and have been sticking to this nail salon recently thanks to Tammy! My gel-​French manicure can last almost a month and still look fresh! As opposed to when I get it done at other salons, they always chip within a week!
Seriously. Ask for Tammy!

One word: disappointed. I loved coming here. This was my go to spot. However, I went on Friday and was extremely disappointed. I showed Tammy a picture and asked if she could copy the design. She asked another staff member of she could do it. The staff member was confident and said it was easy so could do it. When the time came for her to do the design, it was nothing like the picture. It looked like something I could do by myself, the colors were wrong, and that’s what they were trying to tell me that the colors are not the same that’s why it doesn’t look like the picture. But it just didn’t look like the picture at all.
I then asked for it to be erased and for it to just be a plain color. I could tell they were annoyed. Then she asked me to move to another section. She was going to make me put my own shoes on when my nails haven’t dried. I end up ruining the freshly painted nails and told the nail technician that and she seemed to get even more annoyed that she had to redo it.
Then tammy basically put me in a corner and started working on another clients nail. They totally ignored me. Then once my nails were done drying they basically told me to pay and leave. they didn’t even clean my cuticles, they didn’t put cuticle oil on my nails or lotion after they finished drying in the uv machines.
Never going here again.

The other girl who did just my gel was named Sue-​Ann. Whoops!

She ALWAYS delivers and does a spectacular job on my nails. She guarantees the quality of her work and all her products. I had a little chipping/​peel problem with my nail, so I went back in and she fixed it with a smile and courtesy.
She has fit me in a few times, spur of the moment, without an appointment.
Thanks again Tammy. I’m so glad I discovered you when I moved to San Diego :)

Came in to get a pedi and gel mani as a walk-​in on a Friday around 5:30. They were not too busy so they were able to take me in.
I was about to go with the basic «Spa Pedicure» but I think the lady who was doing my toes was trying to upsell me… but in the end I went with the «Eurpoean Pedicure». I usually don’t indulge for pedicures but that day I decided why not. You get a pretty decent exfoliating scrub, mask, and massage all while sitting on a massage chair for $ 29. But omg I can never stay still when they scrub the bottom of my feet tickles like crazy! LOL. Anyway, the polish job came out pretty well; can’t complain!
I was very impressed with how my gel nails turned out. And also I liked how the nail technician was very careful when using the cuticle remover. That part usually freaks me out because cuts there hurt. I don’t know if I’m saying her name right, but I think it was «Sue-​ha»? She was very quiet but really good at doing my nails. Very attentive to detail and used very light thin strokes for each layer.
They could expand their color options for gel nail and for regular polish though.

My bestie and I were in desperate need of some catch-​up girl time and our toes needed some TLC! We decided to look for nail salons in Kearny Mesa so we could run by after work. A quick Unilocal search later and we found Hello Bella Nail & Spa with some pretty decent reviews. Plus, my pup’s name is Bella so they kind of had me on name alone.
The salon itself is on the smaller side and a bit out of date. The spa massage chairs and décor were rather run down but the staff were quite friendly. Not too many nail color options but I was able to find some stuff that I liked.
My nail tech spent about 30 minutes on my pedicure. There wasn’t much TLC done to scrub or exfoliate my feet – probably because I didn’t opt to pay for the extra services. But the paint turned out nice and the leg massage was well needed.
All in all — it was ok but decent for the price.

Tammy did a great job on my nails! It’s usually hard for me to find someone who does square nails exactly how I like them and the great thing about Tammy was that I didn’t even have to guide her about fixing things. She was spot on about the shape I wanted. And not to mention, she smoothed out the acrylic really well so that there’s no bulky spots.
I’d give a 5 star rating but sadly, I didn’t realize until I got home that one of my nails is crooked so I’ll probably go back to see if she can fix it for me. Other than that, go to Tammy! She does wonders and deserves a good tip for her quality of work! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Decided to get my nails done around the area and landed on this place. As soon as I entered it was not busy at all and Tammy took me ASAP! They have a variety of nail polish and gel which is beneficial for clients who want more color options.
Tammy’s work was amazing! She knows what she’s doing and did my nails exactly how I wanted. She took her time, no rushing and made them look like my natural nail since I did get acrylic gel.
I recommend her and I plan on coming back next time! :-)

After my previous review, I was contacted by Jenny who offered for me to come in and have my nails redone. Unfortunately, I already left to travel abroad to Europe and Asia and was stuck with the nails I got (which chipped and peeled horribly within a day, but b/​c it was a gel manicure, it was too difficult to take it all off myself).
So imagine yourself at a Michelin rated restaurant in Europe with haggard, chipped polish… not a good look.
Anyways, upon my return, Jenny was very nice and allowed me to come in and have Tammy fix my nails. Honestly, had I known they were so busy, I would’ve waited to come in another day b/​c Tammy rushed redoing my nails and «cut corners» where she could to start working on another customer before finishing my nails.
Despite the circumstances, rushed job and me having to go home to tidy up my nails after she finished, Tammy did do a decent job with the little time she spent on me AND they did not chip for two weeks — not great, but still an improvement.
All in all, this place has potential, though I would suggest (1) come when it is NOT busy and (2) make sure you don’t have to come back to get them fixed — get it right the first time!
