Hillside Apartments

Me and my husband moved in from a 4 bedroom house to this beautiful and upgraded 1 bedroom apartment. We are able to live comfortably now, water/​trash is included. Apartments are freshly painted and new carpet is installed. The closet is HUGE & double sided… I love my private balcony with outside storage… Hillside offers garages for rent and that’s where we keep all our big stuff. The mail is locked and there is a clean laundry facility. Mrs. Langley is a sweetheart, she is the manager. Apartment complex is very quiet and friendly :) (not ghetto with kids running around) I love living here and so does my neighbor/​coworker. Also the freeway is really close and this is the center of San Diego. Also there is not one roach, insect or bugs here… Office hours vary so I do recommend calling and making an appointment. Hope this review was helpful. Rent is $ 825-​$ 875. 750sq ft BIG!

My husband and I used to live here about 3 years. The location itself might be considered as «Ghetto» but it is barely found by anyone, so I guess it is safe enough. There is a police station few minutes away, so it is a huge plus. If you have to call a cop, they’ll be here in 5 – 10 mins. I have lived in different place and have called a cop and it took 1 and half hour for them to arrive.
Anyways, about this apartment, the manager is awesome. She is mid-​50s and very nice lady. She is very strict when new people tries to move in, so she knows who is goo tenant or not. Because of that, there was no irresponsible tenants lived. All tenants are all friendly, knows every-body’s name. They have get-​together BBQ party every year. We still go even we don’t live there anymore.
Rent for this 1BR/​1BATH is fair enough, it was around $ 800 when we used to live, so I don’t know how much they charge right now.
For laundry, they have 2 facility for 50 or something apartments. They charge $ 1 per 1 load.
Maintenance-​wise, they are always quick. Maintenance is pretty much done by this manager’s husband who has another job so it is not done in a second, but they would do it in timely manner.
Since we have a dog and they don’t allow tenants to have any dog or cats, we can not get back in, but we would move back if we do not have any pets.
