What can I say? It’s jack in the crack… Wish they had late night walk-in hours(especially after having a couple beers and the munchies kick in), considering I live just a block away. I have to drive here and do a few rounds around the corner just to get my fat boy fix and a few more just to get back home. Anything smothered in buttermilk immediately tastes 100 times better!

If you’re headed to the airport or harbor island area, this is the closest fast food restaurant. It’s usually not that bad of a wait and they’re usually pretty fast giving you your order. Parking hasn’t been a problem for me as many times as I come here being its in downtown. Downfall in my opinion is there is usually a good amount of homeless out by there main entrance.

This Jack In The Box experience was a good one. The employee that helped me was very polite and helpful. I asked if she liked the portobello mushroom burger and she said its real good. So I opted to try it and wow!!! She was right! The burger was delicious! The fat boy in me wanted another burger but damn gotta exercise discipline and exercise literally more.

This is one of the few fast food restaurants with a drive-thru around this vicinity. Come here if you’re in a hurry or if you just don’t want to spend a ton of money before going on your cruise or arriving at the airport. They always have something new on the menu and there’s always a good deal going on.

Just arrived on a plane from the east coast late at night. I tried going to another favorite establishment of mine, but they were closed for the night. So I swung through the Jack in the Box drive through to get some of those good olé Jack in the Box tacos. Drive through service was a little off. They charged me for, and tried handing me a big bag of someone else’s food. I said, Uhhhh, no, I only ordered two tacos. So then he had to process a refund for me and just charge me for two tacos. The tacos were just as good as I remember them as a kid. Good stuff and cheap.

I grew up eating Taco Bell, which is an original San Diego company. The first one opened in 1951, the same year that the term«fast-food» earned a spot in the dictionary. My favorite item are their tacos, which you either love or hate. For decades, I have binged on these wonderful little mouthfuls. The best part is that the price is only 50 cents! Yes, for $ 2, you get FOUR delightful tacos, filled with cheese(pasteurized processed cheese product), shredded iceberg lettuce, and a beef/tofu/soy concoction made to look like ground beef(a little bit). Fold these into a semi-crisp corn tortilla, splash on a little hot sauce, and there you have it. I think it is fascinating that four Jack-In-The-Box tacos costs less than a medium-sized soda! I guess that is how they keep the price down on my favorite fast-food tacos. That was the mid-day meal I had last Friday — four tacos and a medium diet coke for $ 4.00 and tax. Nothing to complain here! And like Elle J. says, they got my order right(even though it wasn’t a special order).

Great service from the dreamy drive through attendant with big arms and dreamy eyes. I will be frequenting this fine establishment on a regular basis. Oh, the breakfast burrito was yummy, could always use more sausage.

I know the standards of Jack in the Box aren’t very high to begin with, but every once in a while I get that craving for some good fast food after a long night of work. This will be the last time I come here. 2AM on a Thursday night: My girlfriend got the Munchie Meal to begin with with the Grilled Cheese Cheese burger. we were not stoned so that might have been our problem. The bread was soggy, the cheese wasn’t melted, the burger tasted dry and flavorless, the fries ice cold, the tacos cold as well. I got the Sausage breakfast burrito… wow. when we got home the entire thing looked like a wet diaper. Totally soaked in grease! You could see through the tortilla it was so greasy. Absolutely disgusting. i through the whole thing away. This place should be ashamed to call itself«Fast Food»

This jack in the box is bad… Homeless people asking for money at the drive thru speaker as you order your food… Entire meal was cold… Burger buns were stale… Too bad for me cause this one is close to my work but I’ll drive the extra 10 mins to mission hills…

Never thought this would happen, got a Munchy Meal with the contest tab but it was already viewed. It seemed that the employees are looking for the big prizes before they are given to customers. Very unfair! Brought this to attention to manager and he replaced the tab for contest but was very aggravated about bring this to him. Please get your staff in order don’t let the customer down.

What do you know Jack in The Box fucked up my simple order yet again. I hate you jack in the box. Why can’t we have a McDonalds or In and Out. No! We have to live by a fucking shitty jack in the box.

Horrible customer service. Cashier left our food sitting out and didn’t even let us know it was ready, she didn’t call out our order number or anything of the sort. Food was good though, so one star.

Don’t get me wrong… I love me my JIB, but this JIB is not consistent to my usual JIBs and we were very disappointed. We stopped in for the late night Munchie Meals($ 6). We decided to split it and ordered the Brunch Burger meal. It was a croissant with a burger, hash brown, bacon and a fried egg. YAAAA… What I appreciated was the 2 tacos and the half fries and half curly fries plus a soda! What a deal for 2 people to share!!! It wasn’t busy at 930p but yet the line of 3 people seemed forever. We decided to use the automated system which is RIGHTINFRONTOFTHECASHIER. We submitted our order and waited. If you use the restroom, the employees have to buzz you in. One restroom was out of order so we were left to use the other. YUCK! The restroom was filthy. Reminded me of a gas station restroom. REALLY?! It wasn’t even busy and your restaurant is dirty? So we waited… and waited… and waited. There were only 3 customers in the restaurant and we continued waiting. My date went to follow up with our order and evidently they didn’t get it? Dude, we were right in front of you ordering via the kiosk! After that lame experience, we finally received our meal, scarfed it down and left. JIB was a joke… P. S.BUT I STILLLOVEYOURTACOS!!!

My diet has been going to the crapper, lately. I don’t know why, but I’ve been craving burgers, and as much as I hate to admit it, I do like the seasoning that JIB puts on their meat patties. I KNOW that I shouldn’t be eating at fast food restaurants. I KNOW that it’s not good for me, and that I have a few«upscale» burger joints within walking distance from my place. But, given the choice of QSR’s, I’m usually going to choose Jack. Part of that is because I worked for the corporate office for 6 years. Part of it is because of the variety of the menu. And another part is that they offer breakfast all day long. Seriously, you’d be surprised by the number of times I think, «I’d love a breakfast sandwich right now…» The service here is hit and miss. Most of the time the people working the drive-thru(because I’ve honestly never even set foot inside the actual restaurant…) are friendly, but often they’re either way too aloof or far too eager to finish talking with you. The number of times we’ve had someone talking right over us while we’re trying to complete our order would astound you. Despite all that, once you actually get to the window, the people usually smile and try to be helpful. They offer all the condiments you could desire, and try to get you moving along as quickly as possible. The food is usually fresh and delicious, but I’ve had my fair share of stale curly fries, as well. Also, no matter how many times I order *grilled* chicken strips, I usually get fried. I don’t know why that’s so difficult… Still, it’s the only one close to us(now that they’re tearing down the one off of Eleventh Avenue), and it helps quell the cravings, so I return, despite my desire to eat healthily.

Like any other J Box, perfect for when you need something greasy and fast. I usually wouldn’t write a review of a fast food place but I just hit up the drive thru and I was super surprised they got my order right(yeah I am the jerk with the special order). I didn’t get any sass about it and they were smiling and nice. Thanks J Box!
