I was really surprised when I checked Jasmine Express Unilocal reviews today to find out 3.5 stars and some complaints. I been here more than a few times and I’m planing on going today again. They have a decent selection and quality of food. This place is not a restaurant, it’s a take out kind of place. To me, employees are not rude. Sometimes we have to remember that some cultures are different than ours and we can’t expect them to act and behave as we do. Overall I recommend this place.

Jasmine — the full restaurant next door — is pretty nice. I have enjoyed eating there. Jasmine Express, while hugely convenient, is located just next to the main restaurant and offers a quick and supposedly easy way to grab you dim sum when you don’t have time for the massively long wait and in-house dining experience. But after a couple of times visiting the to go spot, I can securely say that it may not be worth it to take the express route. Sure, it will satisfy the sometimes unquenchable need to have dim sum. Like, right now. But I find that the quality and the wait are not as good, and certainly not express. Especially if you go after about noon — you won’t get a decent selection, it seems. And you will likely have to wait longer than usually to get your order. But I do enjoy Jasmine. So I will likely keep coming back, hoping and hoping that the quality of food and the quality of service will improve. Also, there are a couple of benches just outside of the express shop if you want to sit and eat. But know that it is basically in the parking lot, and cars will be driving by just feet away from your seating area. And the parking lot is the pits! It will be difficult to find a spot — though there are a couple of 15-minute spots directly in front of the to go joint. Good luck.

I would give this place NO stars if I could. The workers were absolutely rude when I asked them a question. Food was alright.

This small take-out place will satisfy your dim sum cravings without waiting an hour to get seated at the restaurant next door or to wait for your favorite cart to swing by. I grew up on dim sum(in Alhambra and Monterey Park) and I highly recommend their pork shu mai and shrimp rice noodle rolls!

I ordered the two of the buns(BBQ pork and egg custard), and several of the dim sum dishes(siu mai, ha gao, the usual dim sum stuff). The food is pretty good, but relatively expensive for how small the portions are. It’s nice that I can just quickly pick the food up and go. The lunch entrees that they have also look good and I’ll probably try that next time! Meanwhile, I’ll probably keep looking for cheaper dim sum options, but this will be my backup!

Some of their dim sum items are a bit pricy. But I like how this is a grab-and-go place. They have most dim sum items you can think of from hai gao to pork buns. The service is a hit or miss. My first time here, it took forever to get the employees attention. They also moved very slow and were just talking amongst each other. When I came here about a month later, the same employees were super nice and accommodating. So, it really depends on their mood. Overall, the food is pretty good. I’d come here if I was in a rush or craving dim sum but do not want to wait hours for a table!

My husband and I are always in search of good dim sum, and jasmine express was a great find! Shu mai were excellent and BBQ pork buns were great. Will definitely be coming again!

Jasmine Express To Go, located to the right of the restaurant, sells all your favorite dim sum to go! Unless you go in the afternoon, where the dim sum is nonexistent and the only things left are in the BBQ area or the fast food chinese food area. When I went last year, I got some Old Lady Cookies(literal translation?) and they were good. They had good flavor, weren’t too hard, packed with flavor. You had to point to tell them what you wanted because I didn’t trust my canto and they were just like«whatevs» towards me. This time when i went, all they had were 4 dim sum items(all the same item). Nooooooo. I didn’t get anything home for my parents b/c there was only that one thing :(And there was only one person in there, the guy who was at the BBQ station. I was there for a good 30 – 45 seconds debating and looking around but no effort was made to acknowledge me :(sigh. :-/ Get their dim sum if you can and go after. You might also go while waiting in that 1.5 hour line at Kula!~ meow~ factor

Literally I only come to Kearney to buy their pork buns here, I can’t come up here without having to buy a couple. The sesame balls are my favorite dessert it reminds me of home. I recommend this place, if you are going to buy pork buns you have to get a lot because their so irresistible!

So many Yum Yum things here. Some things even Chinese Grandma or Chinese Great Grandma would love. Cource some items use reciepes going back hundreds if not thousand Old China Chinese years. And couple peoples post about rude employees??? Not like these employees will get big $Tips from them. No complaints by me. After many visits over the years Regards the post that said price bit high… Do they suppose dishe of 3 Chicken feet for $ 5 and 4 sui mai for $ 5.88 at the new remodeled Emerald down the street is high? At Jasmine to Go most dim sums is sold at(S) small dische prices.

I like that you can order some of the pastries and dim sum dishes without having to actually sit down and eat the restaurant. That said, the service here is worse than any dim sum/Asian place… but I guess you’re just grabbing the food to go. They have lotus seed pastries, fermented rice cake, almond cookies, coconut buns, taro pastries, and green tea pastries. Prices are slightly steeper than they’re worth, but the place serves its purpose when you need a quick fix.

I went here to order some take-out while waiting to be called for kula sushi. The employees here are so rude and they give you the impression as if they want you to hurry up and get out. The food here is amazing and my favorite dim sum but I just would the employees were a bit nicer. Yeah, I’ll be back because of the food but the employees need to change their attitude!
