Kaiser Permanente is an HMO network hospital. The addition of the San Diego Central Hospital will increase the services for its members within the central San Diego County area.
I was able to participate in a short tour of some of the facilities that have been constructed and it looks very impressive so far. This new hospital will have a total of 350 beds, and will be single capacity per room. The addition of this new facility will also allow the Zion location to convert their rooms to single capacity as well, creating a better experience for their patients at both locations.
The location is also very convenient as it is located directly off of the I-​15 Clairemont Mesa Rd exit, and close to the 163 and 52 as well.
