Hired them to paint our condo! They gave us great advice on our paint colors, making sure that we didn’t pick something too dark for our place that doesn’t get a lot of natural sunlight. They showed up on time, we’re friendly, quick, and professional. Our place looks great! They did everything including the baseboards and doors. Highly recommended by my fiancé and I! Thanks guys!

Doug Smith/​Kendall Painting’s work was absolutely exceptional. Our craftsman house is over 100 years old, and hadn’t been painted in 30 years (yes literally-​since 1984). I used Kendall Painting on the advice of a friend and we’ve since had them paint several rooms and our exterior. The crews are nice, professional and clean. The prices are very fair and the work is always spot on. And, if I ever have an issue they’re pleasant and fix it straight away. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Very happy!

I called about a week in advance to make an appointment for a Friday for an estimate to paint my house at 11AM. On the day of the estimate, I get a voicemail stating that he called me yesterday (but no voicemail left) and then he was calling me the day of the estimate and that since I didn’t answer my phone, he wasn’t coming even though he left me a message at 845AM (call returned at 910AM), which was over 2 hours before he was supposed to come. I reached him a few minutes later to ask why he was canceling his appointment with me. He said that because I didn’t call him back, he assumed I had forgotten our appointment time. I asked if he could please still come, but he had other things happening and that he could come 30 minutes later than our pre-​agreed time, but still had an attitude about it, like I was inconveniencing him. I told him to just forget it and he gave me a snotty ‘thank you’. Beware, this guy could be a flake.

We moved to San Diego five years ago and had to totally repaint the interior and exterior of our new house. We got several bids, but noticed that too many of the people we spoke to kept recommending Kendall painting. So we called them. The owner, Doug, is pretty plainspoken but as he walked through the house, he was so knowledgeable about the job (and about our Craftsman — he knew more than even our realtor!) so we hired him. We got: the loveliest and most professional painting crew; exactly what we wanted; immaculate cleanup… and Doug called us after about a year to ask if everything was still good. I said that there was a bubble on the exterior of the house (Well, Doug told me that the color was dark and would catch the sun but I wanted it)… AND THEY CAME OUT AND FIXED IT. FOR FREE. Mind you, this wasn’t the fault of the painter, it was Mother Nature and a client who wanted a dark house… best thing I can say — I have decided to repaint my bedroom a different color. Didn’t hesitate to rehire Kendall.
