Convenient location off the 15 Fwy but the drive thru is a bit cramped. Ordering was ok and the guy who handed us the food was nice. We appreciated how he gave us extra sauce for the spicy wings. Complaint is that it cost a whopping $ 9.99 for 10 pieces of chicken wings that tasted a bit stale and cold. $ 1+/wing after tax is a lot — especially for a fast food place. That’s the price we pay at sit down restaurants where fried wings are made to order. There are a bunch of sauce to choose from so that was nice. Sis likes the spicy wings here at KFC so I buy them for her every once in awhile. But I’m going to start looking for coupons or something b/c I can’t see myself paying $ 1/wing again from KFC.

This is the best KFC in the entire world. Every time I order they suggest a better combo for less money but w more food. One worker individually packed my food for my twins. He even cut my tender in half so the twins got equal portions. Go here. I’m in love w the staff.

Came on the evening of 08÷25÷15. Not busy and not crowded. No problems with the staff my issue was with the food. I typically go to the KFC in Encinitas so I’m using that as a comparison and I must say, FOOD wise, Encinitas has this place blown away. I found out tonight that each location can/has their own menu and prices so ordering wasn’t as easy as I’m used to because I basically had to custom order what I’d usually just say as «Three Piece White Meat» at Encinitas. No big deal really, Like I said it wasn’t crowded so I wasn’t holding anyone back in line. My main issue and reason for the two stars was the food quality. The chicken was very dry and the mashed potatoes seemed old. In fact I made a comment to myself that it seemed like I was given a cup of gravy instead of mashed potatoes. Maybe I’ll try again another day, maybe not? It just wasn’t good food.

tonight will be my first and last in this kfc branch. The lady wasn’t nice and gave me two wrong orders. I was soooo disappointed with the food i got. I was in a hurry to check the food in the plastic bag and i waited for a long time in their drive thru, it was a ridiculious experience!

I needed something super fast to relieve a hunger headache and KFC came to the rescue. Drive thru was a breeze since there was no one in line and our service was fast. I ordered the kids meal with the chicken sandwich, a side mac n cheese and drink for $ 5. This was just enough to curb my hunger, although this wouldn’t have filled me up for more than 2 hours. Great snack and very conveniently located off the Mercy Road exit off the 15 North.

I recently came here with my mom. We preordered over $ 100 worth of food the night before for Mother’s Day via phone, to be picked up the next morning at 10am when they opened. We got there & all the food was freshly made ready to go. The manager Ed was so enthusiastic, organized & made sure we had everything we paid for plus more! Thank you for the great service!

The fact that I just spent $ 50 on fast food is insane. The customer service here is horrible. It took me 10 minutes standing at the counter with no one in front of me to have my order taken! The only thing is they gave me a free drink because my order was going to take long to put together. As soon as the lady would take an order she would run off and make the next person wait in line to be helped. The person behind me was so fed up they just left after waiting 10 minutes in line. They are obviously under staffed, or something. I didnt complain about their service, only because I didn’t want them to serve me bad food. But I do have to say the chicken turned out great and the food was better than I expected.

The food is great but the customer service is not all that. They sometimes forget to give you the things you ordered.

This isn’t rocket science. Can you just check my order before you shove it thru the drive thru window.(I know you don’t care– but can you at least humor me) The best part of the meal are the biscuits. The worst part: driving all the way home only to discover– no biscuits. I should have suspected when the guy filling my order had trouble reading it back to me.(and English was his first and only language)

KFC is one of those companies we all wish would just wake up. When I was little, getting a box of KFC with all the sides was just so crunchy, salty, tasty good. The chicken was juicy, the crust was cooked all the way through and the sides were actually decent. KFC, the corporation has, SADLY, cut so many corners — it’s a pity. Today, I’m actually kind of leery about taking a bite out of the chicken… wondering if they cooked it all the way through and concerned about the hygienic process of how the employees prep all the food. What I can’t get over is just how bad all the food has become. Overcooked green beans, mushy corn, watered down coleslaw and fake mashed potatoes and gravy that is just beyond ridiculous. What a downer. To add insult to injury, KFC(the corporation) got rid of the«bad-for-me-and-I-don’t-care» chocolate bucket parfaits that I used to crave at midnight for these cheap, «doesn’t-taste-like-chocolate» chocolate cakes. What a crying shame. About the only thing that was A-OK about our last trip to KFC last Monday was the drive-thru employees that helped us out. HUGE kudos and LOUD shout-outs to Sarah and Asher for just being so cool about our order. I don’t know them, I’m not friends with them, they don’t know me, but they sure made our experience through this particular KFC drive-thru in Rancho Penasquitos, a nice one. A major accomplishment when they have to do what KFC headquarters dictates they do just so they can make their bottom line… and then some. So you see those 4 stars up there? Those are for Sarah and Asher. I’m their KFC fan of the week because I know that they have to put up with the KFC corporate crap that has destroyed everything good about it. Yes Virginia, KFC actually used to be pretty good… when Colonel Sanders was walking this earth. But not anymore. Those good olé KFC days are gone forever, just like my righteous chocolate bucket parfaits. Damn them!

Went to KFC the other day. The guy at the register was super helpful. Which is suprising in today’s world. Most of the people could hardly give a rats ass. However, the people getting my order ready are… not very customer service oriented. They do give you a smile and your order. Your EXACT order. So, just a word of advice, be sure to count exactly how many utensils, plates, dipping sauce, napkins, etc that you need. Otherwise, like me half the group will be only happy. The other half. Well they’ll have to wipe their KFC smelling hands on their pants. Because since they had no plates and no napkins at the end of the meal they too have been prepared with the colonels secret recipe of herbs, seasonings and grease. uummm… uumm… good!

I will NEVER be back to this KFCEVERAGAIN. In fact, just because of perhaps the rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced here, the entire franchise will even be lucky if I go back to any of its locations. I went here with a friend in April 2013, and the girl taking our order through the drive-thru speaker WASINCREDIBLYRUDE. She was giving us the options for the sides for a kid’s meal and our friend and I were deciding among ourselves and my friend said potato wedges. Apparently I guess the rude girl didn’t hear our order, so she decided to shout back at us what she said before, but instead in a mean tone, «WHATDOYOUWANTFOR A SIDE?! WEHAVE(then right here she started reading it off slowly like we were stupid) POTATOWEDGES! MACANDCHEESE! MASHEDPOTATOES…» Listen lady, I don’t care if you’re having a horrible day. You don’t take out your anger on one of your customers! I was nearly tempted to tell my friend to back out because I was angery at our order taker at this point for being so rude, but we just went ahead and got our food since her niece wanted a kids meal. Never again, KFC. Worst customer service ever. One of your female employees just made you guys lose a customer not to just this location, but the entire franchise.

2nd worst KFC I have ever been to in the US. The first one(La Mesa) was closed. SLOW order takers… took 10 minutes in line to order SLOW cooks… after 40 minutes was told they were out of half of what I wanted. How can you be out of original recipe anything? It’s chicken. SLOW people… one person in line yelled«YOUPEOPLEARESTUPID!» and stormed out after waiting 15 minutes in line to order. I know these are franchises so someone needs to shut this puppy down or find a new owner or manager or both.

This location is terrible. They have about 8 staff members«working» at once, yet we had to stand around for 5 mins waiting for someone to take our order… WEWERETHEONLYCUSTOMERSINTHESTORE! The guy who eventually took our order, was completely rude, didnt smile once, spoke way too quietly and seemed like he could care less about his job! It was pathetic! We originally ordered in, but when we looked at the dining room and the tables. We had to change our order to go! It was SO dirty and repulsive! Like no one gave a crap about the place. I even told them it was dirty and needed to be cleaned and the same guy who took my order basically blew me off and walked away… It was BAD. It was obvious that everyone working was completely lazy and probably didnt even wash their hands before serving. That’s how badly the store and employees oypresented themselves. I wouldn’t be surprised if I found a hair in my food!

Not sure why I’m writing a review for KFC. If you regularly go to KFC, you probably don’t care what anybody else thinks about KFC. But I must give a shout out to the new«boneless» chicken that KFC is heavily advertising. It’s VERY good. Surprisingly good! Everything else about this KFC is pretty much the mainstream KFC; the staff is OK, the ambiance is –well, it’s KFC– and the side dishes are the same that I remember from years and years ago. But try that boneless chicken. Remember the old myth about them changing the name from Kentucky Fried Chicken to KFC is because it now isn’t fried and it’s also not chicken? Supposedly it’s now some genetically modified boneless organism. Well, their new boneless chicken might be just that! But it sure is tasty. And I haven’t yet had a piece of boneless with any gristle or stuff I don’t want to eat. Well done, Boneless Colonel Sanders!

It’s KFC. This place is close to the house and on the way home from work, so if I am CRAVING fried chicken and going home via Mercy Rd instead of Mira Mesa, I can go here. On the other hand, I’d rather go to Popeye’s on Mira Mesa just to get the better fried chicken. The nice thing is the first time I went here, they had coupons printed out from the internet for one of those subscribe mailing lists. It was there for anyone to use. So a major plus for that. That’s really all. It’s KFC, you know what you’re getting yourself into.
