Love At First Invite

I just received my logo files from Cathy and I LOVE IT. I can’t wait to update my website with the new look :) Cathy was patient and thorough… she is so great to work with!

I used Love at First Invite for my wedding invitations, and they were absolutely beautiful. Cathy is an extremely talented designer and I was thrilled with the final product. Gorgeous. This is the reason I’m giving 3 stars…
That being said, my invitations were one of the most stressful parts of my wedding planning experience. Cathy and I agreed on deadlines and she was late for EVERY SINGLE ONE. I was completely stressed out because I wanted to be very punctual with sending out my invites, and she finally got them to me less than 6 weeks before the wedding date… the thing was, they were completely unassembled (which i had requested, thinking i would have PLENTY of time to assemble and get them out 6 – 8 wks in advance) So i was up until about 4am the day i got my invites, frantically putting them together so i could send them out the next day. STRESSFUL.
The invites themselves were beautiful, so if you go with LAFI, I would recommend lying and saying your wedding date is about 2 months earlier than it actually is so that you’ll have your invitations in plenty of time!!!

I am absolutely thrilled with Cathy’s work!!! I first came to her after a bad experience with another designer. I had a pretty good vision of what I wanted but just needed someone who could see that vision through to a finished product. Boy did she deliver!
I loved meeting with her in her cute studio in Liberty Station. Right away I felt like she «got me» and I completely trusted her. She knew all the right questions to ask to come up with a vision.
After meeting with her, I was very anxious to see the first product — my Save-​the-​Date. I was getting flashbacks of my previous experience with the other designer, thinking we would have to go through a few revisions… but she NAILED it on the first go round! It was like she read my mind!!!
The invitation suite was equally as magical and beautiful as the Save-​the-​Date. It really set the tone for my whole event, which is what I was hoping. Sounds silly, but she made my (invitation) dreams come true!
I really can’t say enough positive things about Cathy. I really feel that she is super talented when it comes to invitation design and very easy to work with. The icing on the cake is that she is very reasonably priced for custom work of this caliber!!! Believe me, I checked around!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cathy to anyone and everyone!

I used Love at First Invite for my wedding (invitations, menu, programs, escort cards, various other signage) and Cathy, the owner and main designer, is amazingly talented and really created something incredible out of the little I gave her. Her designs were exactly what I wanted. I actually cried the first time I saw the images of the final invites, with our names together and so beautiful. I still look at them in awe! Besides all of this, Cathy is fast, sweet, and on the ball in every way! She’s a rock star! I got everything I needed in a timely manner and she was great about doing revisions (I’m a stickler for details so I’m sure I wasn’t always the easiest client for her to work with). Oh, and all our guests just raved about them. One shower hostess took her inspiration from them to find shower invites in a similar theme, and my mother-​in-​law did the same with the rehearsal dinner invites! Very happy overall.
I was originally going to hire Cathy only for invitations and do all the other paper products myself but I’m so glad I didn’t. Cathy did a MUCH better job than I ever would have and it was so nice not to have the stress and craziness in my last few weeks; not to mention I think I probably spent around the same amount of money or less than I would have if I’d done it on my own. And it was so great to have everything in the same style and theme; our invites were just the starting point. Every other paper item was complementary and looked beautiful.

The invitations turned out great! She took in everything that we wanted and brought it to live on prints! We absolutely loved it. I can’t wait till we hear back the responses.
That said, do keep in mind sometimes her turn-​around-​time can be on the slower side… our save-​the-​date & invitations were 2 weeks later than promised. That’s a small price you have to pay for gorgeous, creative, and unique custom designs from a well-​established, award-​winning designer!!! (I realize that good artists are usually not the best with communication…)

Cathy is a great designer. I was really happy with the way everything looked for our wedding — we designed our own invitations and RSVP cards, but she designed the programs, table numbers and escort cards. Cathy printed everything and provided the supplies to assemble.
I wish I could give another ½ star, but it’s not quite up to 4 stars for me. I’m BIG on communication and she was pretty slow to respond to just about everything. She had me pay the full amount before all the products were delivered, and then did not get the final pieces ready until 2 days before the wedding. It all worked out in the end, but I imagine that anyone in the wedding business knows it is a bad idea to cut it so close to the wedding date — what reprints were necessary for some reason?
I had sent her all of the information at least a month before the wedding so it was disappointing that it wasn’t done until the last minute. Overall, I would recommend this vendor. As 3 stars suggests, Love at First Invite is A-​OK.

Cathy at Love at First Invite is FABULOUS! She and her team were professional, courteous, and understanding of the stress that at times surrounds a bride… not to mention, a perfect fit for our budget! After getting to know who we were, how we met, and the way we envisioned our wedding day– she presented four incredible designs to choose from that all used actual material from our wedding site. The invites were completely unique to the two of us… we were in love. We decided we had to use Cathy for all of our wedding stationary! Without a doubt, we would recommend her to all who inquire.

I was really happy with the product that Love at First Invite did for my wedding. The graphics were fresh and unique and everything was so professional. Cathy went out of her way to answer my questions and was patient with my changes I made. I will be going back to her for party invites in the future!
