Excellent massage! I had just run the San Diego ½ marathon and the massage after the ½ was perfect!

The massage was great, biggest thing was that there was a lot of conversation going on right outside the door and I could understand every word they were saying and this happened on and off throughout the entire massage which was fairly distracting and disrupting to the peacefulness of the massage.

I get a lot of massages and this was exceptional. I went to the Tennis club for the massage and the staff were wonderful. But Marsha asked all the right questions to ensure she knew my issues and muscle concerns. She did a great job and it was the highlight of a wonderful vacation. I will definitely call her when I go back to San Diego.

For me a great massage is the balance between doing enough «work» to get long term benefits and still making it relaxing. My massage with Massage Extraordinaire was just that… the perfect balance. The therapist did a nice job of asking what I was looking for and then delivered on exactly what I requested. I look forward to my next appointment. The one recommendation I would have is to add some aromatherapy options. Due to the location there were whiffs of mustiness that could easily have been rectified.

The massage therapists at Massage Extraordinaire are all very friendly, professional and knowledgeable! The therapists first ask what you’d liked worked on that day and they then modify your massage for your «need areas.» I love that an hour massage is really an hour — 60 minute massage! They’re located at the beautiful San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club so I love to jacuzzi outside after my massage — pure relaxation!

We were recently in San Diego on business for an Apparel trade show and wanted to get a chair masseuse at our booth as a treat to the people attending the trade show. I found Massage Extraordinaire online and they were able to work within our budget and also provided us with 2 great masseuse for each day of the show. They were extremely professional and wonderful to work with. What an wonderful addition to add to our booth! Thank you for the job well done!!!

This was a phenomenal massage. It was also great that I got to use the steam room at the racquet club. Marsha was a great masseuse. I was really impressed and it was a great massage. I will be going back to this place.

Other words that come to mind… friendliness, value, customer satisfaction! I booked their services for my wife’s birthday party, which I hosted in my house. I dealt directly with Marsha (owner) over the phone from the very start. From my experience, you always get the best customer service when you deal directly with the business owner. She made it known right from the start that she wanted to earn my business and showed that she was very willing to work with me and accommodate my request (like I said, great customer service!!). After speaking with Marsha, being the type of consumer that I am, I still searched around the Internet and called other places prior to booking with Massage Extraordinaire (MassExtr).
The day of the party, Susie (from MassExtr) showed up on time (as Marsha said she would). Susie didn’t take long to set up. She allowed me to dim the lights of the massage room… had her own ‘soothing’ music. And my guests were able to take 10 minute turns in the massage chair. Some guests repeated their 10 mins if there was no wait. All in all, every guest got at least two rounds of chair massage. Susie was there for just over 2.5 hours, and the quality of her massages never decreased. Her pressure was firm even at the end (but she can customize the pressure, as desired).
All in all, it was a great experience! I am very glad that I booked with them! I would recommend them 100 times out of 100! The service, quality, friendliness, reliability, flexibility, and GREAT ATTITUDE was much more than I expected. I would not hesitate to request their services again (and again and again!). I was visiting my dad in San Diego and had just made the five hour drive from Las Vegas. I have been training in the gym pretty intensely the past several months, and that combined with the long drive, had tightened my hamstrings so much, you could have played them like a guitar. Sore, sore, sore. We went to my dad’s club — the San Diego Tennis & Raquet Club — and Marsha gave me the best massage of my entire life. The pressure was perfect, and she also loosened my hamstrings by moving my legs into a variety of stretches. Fantastic. No more pain. I highly recommend! I will definitely be back the next time I am in San Diego.

The massage therapists were wonderful (thank you Susy and Barbara!), however, the owner is not. I had a massage that went very well, for a great price so I sent my husband to get a massage too, since I had such a great experience.
About 10 minutes into his 1 hour massage, the owner knocked on the door, opened it, and then proceeded to have a conversation with the massage therapist about if she could take another appointment after my husband.
I have had many massages before and to say the least, this is unacceptable and unprofessional. It totally unnerved my husband, thinking someone else would come in, and it took him a long time to totally relax. He even considered cutting the massage short, but was too uncomfortable to do that. The massage therapist then told him that she hates when the owner does that, which she does often.
When I called to complain, the owner placed the blame on my husband and said he was grossly exaggerating. That she didn’t see him in the room, and that it was 30 seconds at most and could not have ruined his massage. Customer service? I don’t think so. I will not be going back to this place.
Massage therapists, good. Price, good. Business practices, bad.

I’ve been coming here for 3 years and the massages here are WONDERFUL! Any of the staff are great — as is Marsha — the owner. They are very skilled and have proficiency of a wide range of massage methods. I went here after running the Rock’n’Roll Marathon — what a help! I could actually walk afterwards. For a relaxing massage I went right before my wedding. Everyone I’ve recommended the place to loves it. It’s located in Frog’s Fitness in Mission Valley. You can use the gym’s sauna or steam room before hand if you want. Best massage I’ve had in San Diego. The prices are also very reasonable and less than or comparable with most other massage places. Although it may not be as fancy as some of the «Spas» in town, the massage is the BEST!
