I am a busy physician on call on Sunday morning December 27th, 2015 and would like a cup of coffee before I start my rounds. It’s 6:15am and the McDonald’s in the hospital is still closed and the women working to open it refuse to tell me what time they open. Now that is customer service! Should I expect more from a well established chain inside a military hospital?

This McDonald is by far one of the worst ones I’ve been to. They are always out of supplies and give an excuse as to why they never have anything. The most famous excuse is «I thought the delivery truck was coming today but it didn’t.» Look sweetheart, the truck driver has been coming for the passed week and you still have nothing to show for it!

WTF! Now they’re charging for extra condiments?! Apparently you are only allowed 1 pack of ranch per order. So if I order 6 meals for my family of six, only one of us get ranch. I’d have to pay for 5 more pack of ranch. Next time we go there, if we ever do again, I will do 6 separate order transactions so everyone gets condiments with the meal. We’ll see what excuses they come up with then. They’ll probably complain about the extra work they’ll have to do.

Being here brought back so many memories as a kid. While my aunt was the store manager of this place my sister, cousin and mom were all working here part time haha. The crew was friendly and nice. They remodeled this place. Less a star since they forgot Czn Totoy’s ice cream cone and ketchup. At least the fries were fresh.

Food is fresh but your order has a 80 percent chance of being screwed up. No kidding.

What a way to start off my Thursday morning. I purchase the deluxe breakfast. You know pancakes sausage, bacon, eggs, and English muffin. You would expect the common practice to include salt pepper butter for your pancakes and English muffin and i don’t know syrup for your pancakes. I walk all the up to my office to enjoy my breakfast and discover non of that. I had to walk all the way down there to get the items so I can enjoy my breakfast. This is not the first time this has happened.

I ate here many times during the two month period that my son was in the NICU. Maybe once during that time did I actually get fries that were hot. I don’t expect much out of McDonald’s anyway, but this place is definitely on the lower end of the McDonald’s totem pole.

Slowest fast food in the world. This is probably the worst anyone could possible mess up premade reheated food. For one, they were completely depleted of supplies when I went in around nine pm. There were several people alongside me waiting impatiently for our ‘fast food’ to be ready. I watched as the cashier scrambled to find frozen fries. Much to her dismay, she had not prepared any fries in the defroster so she took a bag of fries straight from the freezer and dumped them into the fryer. Of note, studies have shown that the most carcinogenic properties of french fried come from directly frying frozen fries without thawing first. So then the rest of the crew scrambles to prepare patties, buns, lettuce, etc. It was as if these people were working from scratch with an empty kitchen! Okay, so some may argue that my food is guaranteed to be better, or at least more fresh because none of it had been sitting around. After waiting 20 minutes, I finally got my filet o fish sandwich and small fries. It took restaurant-grade time to prepare, but the food does not even pass for prison food. Half of my fries were uncooked, and the whole thing was saltier than the ocean. My fish was so dry I thought I had accidentally ordered fish jerky instead. I would have complained if I wasn’t so busy and in a hurry to get back to work. All in all, major fail. It was a last resort. Granted, McDonalds is not gourmet food, but even if I were to grade an average McDonalds 5 out of 5, this place would still be a 1 star in relation to the average, non-messed-up McDonalds.

When I was a Kid this place in the hospital always made me happy. It’s fast clean and hits the spot.
