This place has the best appetizers, the garlic lemongrass fries, eggrolls, and crispy green beans are the best. They expanded the space and the ambiance of the restaurant is so great!

great alcohol selection, but what they have is expensive. +1 Phở is as good as you’ll find anywhere else. Our veggie phở only had 2 peices of tofu though… –2 awesome atmosphere +1 open late +1

Went here for dinner at 4pm, everything was packed on convoy so we decided to try here, only a few tables in the restaurant. When we were seated the waitress said she’s the only one working because the manager left so she is running around like crazy, that made me want to leave it just sounded like a disaster but I was so hungry and I understand things happen. The time she came to our table we were ready to order everything. We got the happy hour oysters and wontons which were amazing and so fresh, but the food came out and we didn’t even get our drinks yet, that’s how long we were waiting. We both ordered Phở I love the upgrade of brown rice noodles and gluten free broth, it tasted great and clean I didnt feel bloated or gross afterwards . The waitress was very nice, I think they should add some more wait staff, especially on a Saturday night on Happy Hour. Overall it was great food and will be back!

So I came to this Phở(soup) place because I had my braces tightened and I’ve been craving Phở, and I see the«chef”(a little old man) drinking and double dipping his spoon in the very soup they were serving to the paying customers. Another lady and myself reported it to the waitress(who did nothing), and the manager(who only said sorry). Never… Ever! Eat here!

Phở here is really good! The staff was really helpful and very attentive. Be careful if you get the spicy, it will make you sweat! Tons of good draft beers, definitely will be going back!

Great, healthy, and filling. All i recommend is adding more meat to their phở bowls. But otherwise, Mignon Phở is definitely one of my favorite asian restaurants to take my girlfriend out on a nice casual afternoon date. I love the modern and chill setting.

Went here on Friday because I was craving for oysters, and their happy hour is from 4pm-8pm which lasts longer than alot of places. I ordered a dozen of oysters for $ 1.25 each, OMG combination w/rib eye steak instead of chicken, and my bf ordered the Trolley phở. Oysters– I was given 3 different types of oysters(forgot which ones.) The smallest ones were mild and pretty good, while the others were just super salty. I didnt really enjoy the rest except for the small ones. I would like to try their scallops on a half shell one day though! OMG combination w/rib eye instead of chicken(+$) — it had one eggroll and grilled shrimp as well. The food was nicely presented, and I appreciated that they plated the noodles in one corner and the veggies in the other corner. The beef was thinly sliced, grilled, and had the right flavors. The nuoc mam(fish sauce) on the side that it came with had milder taste than the ones I have tried at alot of Vietnamese restaurants. Trolley phở– It is basically the regular beef phở bowl with meatballs. I liked the broth and the amount of meat is decent. It is pretty cool how you can create your own bowl of phở also. Their menu is pretty broad, and I like the fact that they have lots of seafood. I am only giving it 3 stars because of the oysters, but I am open to try it again though, and order other dishes. The service was okay. There was not too much interaction, but they kept our water full.

We were greeted warmly and invited in and served quickly. Staff was very friendly and ready with answers about the menu. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The skewered filet mignon was served hot and tender. Can’t wait to take someone when we go back! I hope Sara is our waitress next time too!

4.2 stars He Phò is good here, and the restaurant is clean, which is the most important thing for me My wife got the coconut shrimp salad, and she really liked it and would order it again. They do have a happy hour with beer and food specials however I found that the food appetizers are not great. Such as the fried mac & cheese and fried jalapeño tater tot’s :(I wish they had a little bit better of a beer selection but they did have Speedway Stout.

I was craving phở since I was suffering a sore throat. I did my search and thought this place would be best since apparently they have a $ 6.95 build your own phở. Well, it’s $ 8.95! JUST an FYI, they changed their menu and increased some prices on certain items. Walking in its very modern and hipstery which is a nice look! You are greeted right away and I was seated right away. The service was very friendly and fast. I ordered crispy green beans which is part of their happy hour menu. Happy hour is 4 – 8 everyday! Good menu for happy hour. Then I ordered a custom phở with well done steak, crab and broccoli. It was delicious! Big size bowl and full of the meats and veggies. My boyfriend got the spicy broth version which was delicious as well. We were very satisfied. I only take one star off because they didn’t clean their tables as fast as I think you should. A few tables around us was full of dirty plates/bowls from other customers. When we were sat down they were already there. And wasn’t cleaned when we left.(We were here for an hour) it was just unpleasant to stare at dirty dishes. So I felt like I didn’t get the perfect experience.

HIGHLY recommend for happy hour! We tried the oysters, scallops, fries, chicken nuggets on the HH menu — all seriously worth the try minus the chicken nuggets(they’re good, but pricey for being a hh item). Those items were so good that we then went off the hh menu and had the beef skewers, the chicken heart skewers, and the goi cuon(summer rolls) — all really good in flavor and quality! Definitely coming back!

Nice ambiance, great service, cheap happy hour beer and snacks. I really appreciate their late happy hour, it goes from 4−8pm which is pretty late for happy hours. They have a nice selection of beer for only $ 3.50 a pint which was pretty cheap to me. They also have $ 1.25 oysters which they have a large selection which varies day to day. Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the differences in the tastes of oysters from different regions. I got the bun rieu with shrimp which was very good. They don’t give shrimp paste unless you request it because apparently non-Vietnamese people don’t know what to do with it. It was pretty good and a nice change from getting phở since not every viet restaurant serves bun rieu. My boyfriend got the filet mignon phở. It tasted different. The broth wasn’t very heavy and it tasted like the herbs were roasted(?) and perhaps a hint of cinnamon. I mean it was phở so what more can you really say? Their meat was fresh and good though. The saigon wings were pretty good, deep fried with a light sweet glaze. Fried okra tasted like what you’d expect it to taste like. Fries were fries. kinda small portion though. Oysters were bomb! I like that they label the different types of oysters so you know which is which. Overall, I would probably come back again for happy hour. I like the décor, it is very modern and hip. The service here is great. The waiter took the time to explain their menu and give recommendations. The food is a little pricey but you pay for the freshness/quality. I also really enjoy that they serve beer here since you can’t get that at a very traditional phở place.

The restaurant was clean with trendy minimalist décor. I had the«Create Your Own Phở» for $ 8.25 and chose meatballs, rare beef, and bok choy. My boyfriend had the boum real, and we split an order of 6 oysters(one of each kind), a liter of sangria, one Sapporo, and shrimp & pork spring rolls. Our bill was only $ 54 after tax, and we were completely satisfied. Everything was delicious, and our server was so nice and sweet! We can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Best phở I’ve ever had! The rare steak really melted in my mouth, seriously! And I love the beef stew although the portion was kind of small(even for a girl). We also had the shrimp ceviche which tasted okay but not as delicious as the other two we had. Btw I really like the décor and the ambience here.

I never fully understand the hype about this place. So far, I haven’t really been«Wow’ed» by anything I’ve had here. I mean, it’s okay– but nothing to write home about. The staff is super nice though, which goes a long way for me, so that keeps me coming back. The décor inside is really trendy, definitely a chill spot for friends… but the food doesn’t stand out above the other SD choices for phở(to me). I ordered the chicken phở with a small wing appetizer. The chicken phở was just okay. I wasn’t a big fan of the meat. And the chicken wings were tiny. The whole meal cost about $ 18. Wayyyy too much for the quality. It was a reminder of why I only go here about once every two years. I think I’ll stick to that schedule.

4 ½ stars. Located in the Asian neighborhood of Kearny Mesa this eatery offers HH specials on food & libations. Parking was ample during the week for dinner. Started off with a cold Firestone beer, half dozen of mixed variety of oysters on a bed of ice and Saigon chicken wings. The combination of the three were great appetizers served by my friendly waitress who then took my order for the ribeye & shrimp skewer with rice noodles and veggies — which the portion was generous and yummy tasting. I really enjoyed my meal here — which was reasonably priced. The service and quality exceeded my expectations and I would definitely return here again.

I went here because the place next door with my fave lobster ramen was packed. I felt a little overwhelmed with the menu. There was a lot of stuff which isn’t a we thing but with the pics and font, to me it was hard to read. Either that or I just didn’t know what I wanted and I was hungry. :) A good friend told me that the phở was so-so and I was limited to seafood(because of lent) so i was immediately drawn to the garlic lobster noodles(or was it lobster garlic noodles?) Anyway, I was happy with the taste. Not too seafood-y, yummy chewy noodles similar to mikki noodles you get at an Asian store and the noodle to lobster ration was pretty even. It came w broccoli and a side of sprouts to mix in for crunch. Service wise, Kevin was great! He was nice, patient and conversant even though it seemed like he had long, exhausting day. The girl that came to check on us was also really nice. The only downside was that it was hard to hear. There was a large party in the middle of the room and their conversations carried over with the high part of the ceiling. This wasn’t the reason my rating was shy a star.

First and foremost, this places knows how to take customer service to the next level. 1) My partner wanted to see if they would change the channel to TVG, and they did. 2) We ordered the $ 100 grill/BBQ deal and our waiter was SOOOO helpful. We had about 3 bussers/waiters/helpers helping our table of 5. 3) We ordered a lot of appetizers, phở, beef broth, beers, soju, Etc-everything was DELICIOUS! 4) For these types of spaces, in the Convoy/Clairemont Area-this place has space, multiple TVs, a lot of room for each table, and doesn’t give you the«rush.» They really are about their food AND service. It wasn’t as busy as I expected it to be, but hopefully reviews like mine will bring them more business. They definitely deserve it!

The food, great– the service however has gone rapidly downhill due to being very visibly short staffed. There are always multiple tables left unbussed, and one or two wait staff running around trying to keep up. It didn’t use to be this way, and is the only thing I have to complain about– it’s made the last couple of trips incredibly frustrating to the point where I’ve considered leaving before having my order taken because I’ve been bored waiting to be even offered some water after 20 minutes of being seated. As we were leaving today, the tables that were unbussed when we arrived over an hour earlier were still filled with the same bowls and plates as when we arrived, and there were more unbussed tables than there were tables with customers. I really hope the management takes note of the problem and hires some more staff, because I really like the phở, but I’ll stop going if things don’t improve.

The food is a really nice fusion-y style of Vietnamese food and very good. The servers are really nice and professional. We had the one of the boils with shrimp, mussels, potatoes, sausages, and corn. It was extremely flavorful and as good, if not better than boiling crab. We had some happy hour appetizers that were quite good, including the mac and cheese balls. I used to be obsessed with their lemongrass fries, but last time I tried it the seasoning was a little bit too light for my taste. It still was absolutely delicious though, so definitely give it a try if you haven’t before. The phở is standard – not exceptional but it will definitely satisfy any cravings you might have. It’s also a great finishing dish after the boil.

This place lacks authenticity. The phở broth didn’t have anything to rave about and there wasn’t a lot of meat. Most phở places are a lot cheaper and gives you way more food. The only nice thing is that the service is better than your traditional vietnamese restaurant. The restaurant is clean and has a nice ambiance to it. We also got the beef springrolls and they were a bit boring to me. They cut them up into bite sizes which didn’t help much with the dipping sauce. The HH does seem good, but i didn’t try anything from there.

This place is my favorite place to get Phở!!! I love coming here getting their Filet Migon($ 8.50) which has the option to have cooked or raw meat on the side and adding it into your phở by your own. I love this concept. I love how I’m able to put the meat in the soup and have it cook as I’m eating. Besides that I love how rich their both is, one of the best I have had. They also have a happy hour everyday from 4−8pm! I got their oyster for $ 1.25 each. I thought they where going to be the small but nope they where huge! Very delicious! Also from their happy hour we got scallops($ 1.50) hmmm they where ok. Not the best I had but for the price it did its job! Service here is always nice and friendly. Overall, I’ll keep going back to this place whenever I’m craving for phở!

Came here because I saw that they have $ 1 oysters from 4−8pm every day! I love oysters and I can eat more than you can imagine so I had to check this place out. We ordered 2 dozen oysters(they had several to choose from), 6 scallops, lemongrass fries, the rib eye rice plate, and the cow ate my shrimp plate. All were delicious and our server was really attentive and made sure to check on us. Mignon Phở & Grill isn’t your typical phở spot. They have much more to choose from their menu other than phở itself. This place has lots of tables and can accommodate a good sized party. There are also a good amount of TVs around in case you want to catch a game here with a good amount of craft beers to sip on. I need to come back and try their phở!

So I haven’t been here in like 2 years. I used to come here all the time before they revamped the place and added new items on the menu. My coworker was actually the one who updated me on this spot. I was surprised to hear about the happy hr so I ended up going that same day! We ordered oysters which were $ 1 on HH. They had a few different selections of oysters, ordered some scallops which were I think $ 1.50 each, and the lemon grass garlic fries. For our main entrees we got the rib eye rice plate and the cow ate my shrimp which both were good. We also got some beers along with our food. Happy hour is daily from 4−8pm. great place to also watch games bc they do have a bunch of tables and some TV’S. Service was great! Definitely gonna start coming here again now that they updated their menu and renovated making it welcoming!

3rd time here. Tonight I came solo tired from working a full week. I needed a healing meal. I remembered this place. I usually can get a table without a wait. I got seated right away. I ordered the Spicy Phở and a drink. Not much wait and I was seated in a quiet table with a window. They have a few nice TV’s to catch the game or a cooking show. My server was super nice and wearing the restaurant’s black and red t– shirt, «WTP!» I want that shirt. My soup was pleasantly spicy with meatball, strips of beef and tendon. I added all the greens and jalapeños with a squeeze of lime. It was hot and I enjoyed a cold drink to cool me down when things got too spicy. My lips got that happy burn after that meal. I have to give them 5 stars because they were flawless in the service plus having a cool modern décor and fed me a great meal. They know what they are doing! A+.

OMG1 star because this establishment service SUCKS so bad!!! We came here last night because I saw that my fellow Unilocalers said it was really good. Plus the rib eye phở got me wanting to come in and try it! My cousin and her 2 hungry boys come in about 20 mins before we ended up meeting her. They said when they walked in, the waitress said it was really hectic, by looking around there were only 6 tables full. The restaurant was NOT even busy! So we walk in and spot them immediately because they sat right in front of the entrance door. We sit there for about 10 mins w/o water being offered. BUT, the waiter(with grey or pinkish grey hair) comes to our table and ask my cousin’s son if he wanted a refill on his soda, but FAILED to even ask us if we wanted something to drink. Mind you if you see 3 people sitting at a table then ALLOF A SUDDEN you see 2 more people sitting there, wouldn’t you ask if they wanted something to drink!!! 20 more minutes later… STILLNOONECAMETOOURTABLE, so we stopped the waiter(with grey or pinkish grey hair) and asked for water. He came by and dropped off the water but didn’t take our order. 10 mins later… STILLNOTHING. We got up and straight left and went to another phở place. Had to take our money and business somewhere else. HIGHLYDISAPPOINTING! I really wanted to try that Rib eye, I will NOT come here again nor recommend this place to my friends/family. Note to the business owner: Get your service right and tight because this is how you lose customers.

Note: they didn’t move location, it’s still the same olé spot but they expanded and remodeled. Way to start over on Unilocal… I have grown a liking to mignon phở, their ingredients quality and offerings have always exceeded the traditional phở, but portions may be on the smaller side and with that comes a few extra bucks. Mignon phở is a hip phở place, they don’t try to be trendy and high end, they do try to be on the healthier and cooler side. And it works for them. I love their mignon meat, you ain’t gonna get a ton like Phở Hoa but it’s not too bad. You can also creat your own phở with 3 included ingredients which is cool. They also have a variety of appetizers like $ 1 oysters for HH til 8pm and fun skewers like beef tongue and chicken gizzards. Both very good! Also they carry a variety of SD craft beers! For healthy phở I like their broth, wish I can get more noodles and beef. They should have an option at the end the server should ask«do you want an extra noodles with like 3 slices of beef for $ 1 extra.» That would be cool!

To start off, I went to this restaurant 2 years ago back when I was checking out San Diego. The atmosphere then was incredibly chill with great décor and awesome staff. Jump 2 years later and this place is now double in size! The place must be doing well. And I see why. The phở here is excellent. Their phở menu is not overly complicated like some phở places, with a shorter selection with the option of make-your-own for those who want more. They also have the traditional vietnamese dishes, like bun and banh mi, that I haven’t tried yet. The thing I like about this place is that it is a modern fusion to Asian cuisine. They have dishes like fries and fish and chips that make this a great place to bring a friend that is a picky eater and doesn’t like to try new things. There are menu items for them that can bring them into the place and introduce them to Asian cuisine and possibly open their mind to different tastes. Bring a friend, try a few dishes, grab a craft beer, and enjoy this establishment. A good bowl of phở is only the start of a great night at Mignon Phở.

Westernized Vietnamese grub with suds. A little different but I liked it. Modern, roomy, inviting and busy. Of all the Vietnamese places I’ve eaten, this is the only place where the food delivery was slower than usual. The service was attentive, friendly and efficient. The servers wore black t-shirts with funny comments on them. A nice touch. The Phở broth was a little fatty(but good), the Banh Mi was tasty, the chicken wings were hot, sweet and savory, the drinks/beer were the main draw, though. Our party ordered a couple rounds of beer and Sake. I got full quickly. I’ll be back to order the other goodies on the menu. Good times.
