The new Miramar Fitness center is nice and clean, not many people enrolled from my experience. I never had to wait for a machine whether it was cardio or weight training. New machines look better engineered and they have a large supply of different kinds. This price to enroll beats any public gym x10 Only $ 36 for 16 weeks plus $ 17 fall semester health fee. Lockers and showers are always empty and they even have a nice bike training/cardio class I might sign up for next time. The bad side is the hours are 8:30 am to 1:30 pm than they take a break until 4 pm until 7:15 pm, but it never bothered me as I am a morning gym person.

Fairly large indoor gym great for basketball and volleyball. I’ve also seen students playing soccer and floor hockey. They have open gym every day so long are you’re a student or if you’re there with a Jet player. During the weekends, there’s a kids league for fifth thru eighth graders. My nephews play for the Jets. There are dozens of teams and four games going on every hour. It’s quite the sight. Biggest gripe is the parking situation. If you’re not here for the first round of games you could be parking in the boonies. That’s ok if you’re able-bodied, but if you’re a bit limited on the cardiovascular front, this may be a deal breaker. Bring a walking stick…

When I attended Miramar college it was a meager community college. Almost eight years later im here playing a basketball league at their fancy new sports complex. Needless to say, im going back to school. Weight room and giant open court area for basketball, volleyball, badminton, gymnastics and so on. Probably one of the best courts ive balled on.
