Best Pedicures I have ever had. Her Gel-Manicures are the best. I would never consider going anywhere else. Nancy is so kind and generous. Keep up the good work Nancy. I have been her client for 7 years and drive all the way from Ramona, she has some that drive from LA

I regret very little in my life, but this is up there. I’d suggest avoiding this shop by all means necessary. Not only is it pretty junky and unkempt inside, the owner(also the only manicurist) is rude, sloppy and unapologetic about it. I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure. Awful. My pedicure looks like droplets of water fell on it after it dried and left a bumpy finish of paint splatter. I didn’t even get a massage and she tells me it’s because I didn’t order a spa pedicure. Who says that?! I’ve never NOT had a massage. I consider myself well-versed in manis/pedis all up and down the SoCal area, so I know *good*… But at this place, where’s the customer service? My manicure was the definition of a «sh**ty mess.» Crappy massage(probably because I said something about not getting one on my feet). She had little interest in cutting cuticles, filing, buffing, shaping, etc. So, in other words, pointless. I could have done a better job on my own nails. Then the polish was globbed on like my 6 year old niece did it. Story’s not over. I had to return to get the gel redone because they started lifting and peeling off after 3 days! She then decides to tell me that she doesn’t recommend doing a manicure when doing gel because the gel doesn’t last when you soak your fingers too long in water. Nice, thanks for letting me know… She didn’t do any filing, no clipping, no cuticle touch-up, just nail polish remover, then gel polish. Done. Never ever again. Oh, I didn’t leave without her pitching her next door business(alterations) and telling me how I should bring something in and she’ll give me «a good deal.» Why do I find that hard to believe? People usually say I’m too nice(I even tipped her, smiled and said thank you), but I have to be completely honest(as harsh as it is) about this place and save you, my fellow glammers, some money. I’m not exaggerating about any of this. Wishing you happier, more pleasant pedis and manis… elsewhere. (Lauren K, she does have a very cute puppy! Saw him leashed up when I went to pay.)

I highly recommend this salon! I was given great attention and not rushed. Very nice pedicure. Coming here has the added bonus of supporting the owner, Nancy– she has worked so hard to grow her business and while I just met her I have tons of respect for her!

Worst pedicure I think I’ve ever received. Scrubbed my feet so lightly it made absolutely no difference at all. That part would have been tolerable considering how friendly the woman was. But when nearly ALL of my polish came off a few days later(seriously, it was almost all and it had been between 2 – 3 days), I decided to call — which I typically never would do — and ask Nancy if she would repolish them. She said no. After I explained that I believe the polish was bad she agreed to «spot polish» where they had chipped with the same color. I said that would be literally all 10 of my toes. She said no they don’t repolish and hung up on me. This was TERRIBLE business and a terrible pedicure.

I’ve been going to Nancy to get my nails done since I was a teenager. She has always done such a nice job and is so sweet. I normally get a gel mani & pedi and I love it! My nails stay looking great for about 3 weeks and I only I have to have them redone because my nails grow so fast. The polish is still immaculate. I’ve had my hair cut and I used to get acrylics in the past. I highly recommend her services. Plus it’s all at a very reasonable price.

Nancy is such a sweet person. She’s easy going, easy to talk to and she had the cutest puppy, Pookie! I love my gel manicure and pedicure and how totally relaxed the setting was. Thank you, Nancy! I hope to see you again the next time I am in San Diego :)

I had really high hopes with all of the good reviews but this was terrible. She was lazy. I’m paying for something I expect what I paid for. She hardly cut the cuticle. The sad excuse for a massage… I can’t even talk about that. Scrapping dead skin? Ya right. I’m so upset

I came in with no appointment to get a pedicure. There was only one lady here, who was semi-welcoming. I saw that the gel pedicures were $ 20 so I asked if I could do that instead, but she said there wasn’t enough time because she had an appointment at 3. So she did my pedicure in about 15 min. It was probably the worst pedicure I’ve ever gotten. My nails weren’t evenly cut and she barely filled them. Probably never going to come here again. I guess make an appointment if you do go in.

Great first experience at Nails Deluxe and Hair in Clairemont. Nancy was super nice and did a fantastic job on my daughters acrylic nails and my pedicure. Very clean, relaxing and Nancy was very helpful at helping my daughter choose which nail style would be best to match her prom dress. Very happy and absolutely will be back and will recommend to my girlfriends. Great prices and exceptional service!

I found Nancy about a year ago. She moved into this new location a few months ago and it’s very nice. Clean and tidy and not as empty feeling as the old place. I get spa pedicures here and she does a really nice job. I’ve rarely had to wait, and she gets me in and out in a timely manner. If you live or work int he Clairmont area I’d encourage you to give Nails Deluxe a try. These small businesses need our support!

Nancy, the Owner is wonderful and very experienced. She will always fit you in and is very efficient. Although she has many services to choose from she never hard sells them and I appreciate that. The other salons I have been to in the past hassle me from the moment I arrive and throughout my entire appointment. I hated that. Nancy listens to what you want and is really great at what she does. Really though, if you are looking for a good nail salon I would recommend this one, She recently moved her Salon from the Diane Shopping Center further west to the corner of Genesee Avenue and Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.

This place is not visible from Clairemont Mesa Blvd, however it is in the strip mall behind the Hungry Stick and there is plenty of parking. I have only been here once. I was able to make an appointment the same day. When I got there, there were 2 ladies and I was the only customer… last appointment for the day. They had a TV on and a movie playing the entire time, although I didn’t feel ignored. They have spa chairs and used warm damp clothes on my legs, felt awesome. I can’t remember the name of the lady that helped me, but she spoke really good English and did a good job. I had my almost 2 year old with me, who sat on my lap the entire time. For the most part, she was well behaved, but not perfect and I appreciated the girl’s patience with us. At the very end while my toes were drying, my daughter got very squirmy and I messed up the paint on my big toe. She fixed it without me asking and with a smile.

Kim did a good job threading my eyebrows. Here’s what bugs me about the place and erks me from going back… Even though the place was empty when I came and gone, the receptionist was so low class. She watched me intently as I wrote the tip amount in(invading personal space) and then YELLED out the total amount when I handed the receipt to her. I don’t know if I’ll go back. I’m used to small salons, but that just took it too low. I’d rather pay a little more for class.

i came in here for a quick mani while my bf got his hair cut next door. it was kind of empty and when i walked in everyone(about 5 people working there) just stared at me until i opened my mouth to ask them if they accepted walk-ins. but then they turned out to all be very nice. i dont think the girl who did my nails knew how to speak english. that was a bit awkward cause i tried to ask her some things and she’d answer in half-vietnamese and i just had to say sorry, i didn’t understand. but she seemed super friendly and helpful, and she did a really good job with the nail painting. ok job with the filing and cuticles. the place itself didn’t smell like anything which i really appreciated. however, i was a bit reluctant about the tools(though placed in a box marked«clean instruments») because some of the towels they were using had stains on them. i think if i ever go back i’ll bring my own kit. got a nice hand massage but it was quite short. like most other places they tried to ask me if i wanted any additional services, without informing me of the price, but when i said no thank you they didn’t try to push it. i hate it when they do that cause i’m really bad at saying no(i feel like i’m being rude somehow??) so i was really relieved. on the counter, it said $ 20 min for credit card, but i had no cash and they let me swipe. my $ 17 french manicure turned out to be $ 14 because they’re having a promotion. i should have had my toes done at the same time. mani pedi = $ 30 manicure = $ 12 pedicure = $ 20 a bit pricey but all right with the current discounts.
