This is where you’ll find your cheesy old town san diego touristy stuff. They have a bunch of those pewter spoons that my mom collects, all for reasonable prices. In here you can find a really old school cash register displayed as well as one of those first generation old school telephones, b/c way back in the day you would have to go into town to make phone calls, not from your home. The main reason why I wanted to write a review for this place is that the old lady that works there, is SOOOOOOOOO ridiculously cute. I bought two spoons one was 5.50 and 7.95. the lady has VERYBADVISION, she might have bad hearing too? She asked me the prices that were labeled on the spoons and was using a pretty dated cash register, she kept typing in the number incorrectly and it took her a while to ring up my purchase. I handed her a twenty and it took her a while to figure out how much to give me back. But I was a little concerned b/c I hope no one took advantage of her. I think it’s fair to say, please be honorable and honest when purchasing things here. She’s is so so soooo sweet and adorable! Update: Sad to hear that she recently passed. Even though I met her for a such a brief moment, she definitely gave me a glimpse of a time when people trusted each other to look out for one another while conducting business. May she rest in peace.
