I really like the salad bar at this place. Great selection, very fresh, and sold by the pound. If you avoid really *heavy* foods, you can get out of there for a reasonable price. If not, well at least you are getting what you pay for. They also have a nice selection of unusual sodas, for the odd time I am in the mood for something sweet and fizzy. They are also one of the few places with a large and pretty outdoor patio that isn’t buzzing with people begging for change. I like to walk over when the weather is nice and eat outside but they also have a very large indoor seating area.

i was extreamly disapointed… now i know why the other two down town closed. Way overpriced for what you get. the sandwich was very poorly made. the meat was dry, and there was so much cheese that the greese was coming through the wrapper and when i unwrapped it the cheese was so stuck to the paper that it pulled the two peices of spinach and the meat out from the bread… On the other hand the lady that took my order was really nice… missleading when she said the lunch combo was a good deal, but nice. Trust me, if you eat organic, and you want something good, just go to whole foods. Whole foods sandwiches Rock my Socks! and you get to pick how you want it made! Hope this helps! i made a Unilocal account just because of this experiance!

OK, first this place is based out of Seattle. So yes, they have pre-packaged sandwiches. I’m not ranking this place for sandwiches, they are overpriced. But their salad bar, that’s a different story. I have to disagree with others below me. I think the salad bar is great. Lots of different greens, great variety of toppings(Including hummus! yum) and then multiple types of soups. The salad bar is done by weight, so I saw this girl ahead of me witha big plate-o-salad walk away spending under $ 3! Over priced sandwiches? Yes. Overpriced salads? HECKNO. I full organic plate of salad with the fixins, under $ 3. This is definitely a place I will be frequenting. For salad, anyway.

I used to work for organic to go. I have a number of issues with the way they ran business, but here are of few about the quality of food and service. Fist of all, the concept is not new. Whole Foods has been successfully pulling off the café/juice bar/salad bar/every other type of food AND grab and go, for cheaper and better quality. O2G’s idea was to be great food that happens to be organic, but what you get is overpriced mediocre food that happens to be mostly organic. 1. Overpriced. I know firsthand that organic food costs more, so the high prices are supposed to offset that, but you still walk away knowing you didn’t get what you paid for. 2. Small portions. 3. Poor quality on grab and go, and hot sandwiches. O2G is trying to compete in a city with a thousand great deli’s, and while they may survive because they are strategically locations, they will never be great unless they pull their act together. In all honesty, if Whole Foods tried to do something similar, people would pay the same and be much much happier.

Just as the description for two stars say: «MEH. I’VEEXPERIENCEDBETTER.» Overpriced sandwiches, salads, drinks, snacks. Mediocre coffee. Charged me for salsa. HELLOPEOPLE … not everyone can afford to pay the extra dollar or two or ten to eat«ORGANIC.» Don’t charge me $ 8 for an ORGANICSANDWICH that has been sitting in your freezer for who knows how many days.

Darn it! Finally, someone comes up with a great concept — organic food that is easily accessible and fast for people«on the go.» Then they go and screw it all up with poor execution! That is what has happened with Organics To Go. I visited the one on Broadway at prime lunch time — noon — the time when the place should be at its best. However, the salad bar was low on many items and the lettuce and other veggies were wilted. The hummus in the salad bar is thick, mealy and oily. Two of the salad dressings were not even marked so we had no idea what they were. The other salad dressings were marked, but there was no nutritional information as to what was in them. In fact, there is no nutritional info on most items. The pre-packaged food was comprised of incredibly small portions at incredibly huge prices. The tomato soup is not vegan, it’s vegetarian. There is one vegan soup — Thai soup, which was quite bland. Again, no explanation of what is in the soup and no nutritional info. Overall a huge disappointment for someone who would have frequented the place often if it were worth it. The two stars is for the concept.

I just went here for a light lunch(hot days could make you less hungry). Grabbed myself a cool vegan wrap and a bottle of raw kombucha. It’s good if you want to eat something healthy. There are some things I don’t like about Organic to Go: –no public restroom –small salad bar, like the one at Ralphs –a little bit expensive(ahh…the cost of organic crap) –locations at Downtown and the UTC/Golden Triangle area(nowhere else)

When I went there they only have three vegan options: grilled garden veggie sandwich, house salad, and some kind of roasted tomato soup or something like that. I had the grilled veggie sandwich and it was just average – a little too small, a little too oily, and a little too expensive(about $ 7.50 w/no drink). They have a poor selection of food bars, snacks, and drinks. I wish they would be more environmentally aware – I mean organic is good, but they should be buying their food locally.
