I’ve been a member here since December 2013, and since then I’ve lost over 50 pounds and made a whole lot of friends. The instruction here is top notch and the people are friendly and welcoming. You can’t get better instruction in BJJ or a better workout anywhere else!

I recently started training Bjj and couldn’t be happier with Rodrigo’s teaching style. The gym has classes throughout the entire day, making the training easy to fit into your own personal schedule. The skill level at this gym is unheard of. With more than a handful of black belts and numerous brown/purple belts, this gym has demonstrated the ability to elevate the skill level of the lower belts at a great rate of speed. Between professional fighters visiting the gym and the camaraderie of the students, I think you will be hard pressed to find a better BJJ training facility.

For top notch brazilian jiu jitsu, this is the place to come. Rodrigo is in the top 1% in the world when it comes to teaching bjj and he’s right here in San Diego. Whether you’re training for the UFC, or you just want to get a good workout in and train with some good guys, this is the place to go. The atmosphere here is great. Everybody is here to help you learn, not hurt you. The skills are high and the egos are low. If you’re a morning person, come to Kevin’s 7am or 9am class on tuesday and thursday. He’s super patient and will really give you his time to help you learn proper technique. If you come to the 9am class, you can meet another instructor, Richard, who doesn’t realize he’s a senior citizen. He’s strong as hell and doesn’t seem to get tired as he twists me into a pretzel(and I’ve got 60lbs on him). If you have kids, Stefano teaches a great class with a bunch of 5 – 8 year olds. See how your son does against my little buddy Drake(6 yrs old).
