Don’t believe it’s open. Good fashions but in a awful location that no one can see and has no parking. The owner displayed some erratic behavior and was demeaning if I recall. Even with that said you never wish anyone not to succeed. Yet I do believe that the way you behave and treat others along the way plays a major role in success. It’s a rule I live by and hasn’t failed me yet. Best of luck loved the fashions I saw at least.

Candace Gonzales stole me away from Kelly Cardenas! I had been going there for at least 2 years and after working with her there was not turning back. She is proffessional kind and does amazing work. Everytime i leave her salon i am extremley pleased with her work. I highly reccomend her!

I love Paper Doll! Liz, the Owner, has great taste and I always get great ideas from how the merchandise is displayed. I frequent this shop often since I work nearby and everyone is always so friendly. I love the original jewelry and accessories. Kandice is the hairstylist and I’ve been going to her for nearly a year. She does my hair extensions, highlights, and cut all for a very reasonable price! I was contemplating hair extensions for several years and Kandice was the right person to help me figure it out. We found the type that works best with my hair and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Kandice!

Fabulous! Kandice and Liz are great. Kandice can do amazing things with your hair, no matter the texture or type of hair you have. My hair is naturally very fine and frizzy and difficult to add volume to. I’ve been to her three times now; once for a blowout and style, Brazilian blowout, and a bayelage (sp?) color treatment. Each time I’ve gone to see Kandice she has been full of great ideas to help style and color my hair in better and more beautiful ways. She’s friendly and really knowledgeable. The boutique also is lovely with carefully chosen jewelry, clothes, accessories and art from local artists. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

I just got a blow out on my hair and I absolutely love it! Kandice is so sweet, made me coffee, and really listened to what I wanted. I would definitely recommend her to anyone she definitely knows her stuff.

Kandice was my stylist in Upland Ca (120) miles away from San Diego. When she left last year, I could never find a stylist who could cut and color my hair with her skill. On Tuesday, I drove out to San Diego from Claremont Ca (120 miles each way) to see her. My first impression of the boutique style salon was such a great one. I felt energized by the music, vibe and trend. You want to feel like that when you’re entering a salon. I met Liz the owner who offered me water, coffee or a Mimosa and thought, what a fantastic experience to have after my long drive. They sell the cutest threads there and there’s so much natural sun light that enters the salon, adding to the already energetic vibe. My hair had grown down to my waist and I teetered between a trim or a dramatic trendy shoulder length cut. After Kandice talked with me, she gently reminded me that there were some awesome changes happening for me in my life and a dramatic cut would just complement that. Because she is so skilled, gentle and attentive, I trusted her to cut off 10 inches… which if you have long hair, you know there might be a grieving process that comes with that! By the end of it, she did the cut and when I sent pictures to my family, they all said I looked like a 40’s Hollywood Movie Star. It was such a trendy classic cut and I’m extremely pleased with it. Thank you Kandice and Liz for such a unique salon experience. I might just have to make the drive every time I need hair services, because the it is worth it.

Had an *awesome* experience with Kandice at Paper Doll today! She was really flexible with accommodating my schedule even though it shifted yesterday. When I got there, she listened really well to exactly what I wanted and checked out my hair dry. After washing and conditioning, she cut in long layers (after seven months of neglect on my part ha!) and was conscientious and attentive while styling. I got a great blowout and style along with my gorgeous haircut and my friends couldn’t stop raving when I met them at dinner! Super happy, def coming back!
P. S. The boutique was *super* cute; I wish I had more time to shop!

Let me start by saying that my whole experience at Paper Doll exceeded my expectations, I have been wanting to transfer my hair from blue black to red for a long time now, I finally faced all my fears and allowed someone to bleach my hair for the first time, Kandice made me feel completely comfortable as soon as I walked in she offered me somethibg to drink/​eat since I came in there in the evening after work. She began by giving me a consolation, I let her know what I wanted and she let me know step by step what she would have to do to get me to the red I wanted. After the whole process I was beyond pleased with the customer care provided at Paper Doll Kandice is exceptional at what she does! I would recommend anyone reading this to go in and see Kandice for all your hair and make up needs!

Love the jewelry here. Super cute boutique and Liz is always very helpful and friendly. I love that they have events here and Candace is awesome. She cut my hair today and I love it! I am growing out my hair and usually too much gets taken off but I can still pony tail my hair and it feels much healthier and smooth. She did a great job adding a fringe ! And adjusting them to any requests I had. My family all noticed my haircut when I walked in the door And they all loved it as well… The boutique and salon area are nice and clean too… check it out if you are in the neighborhood:)

I cannot say enough great things about Paper Doll and Scissors. The boutique itself is a beautiful, clutter free space. The clothes are chic, look expensive, but are very reasonably priced. I would say majority of the merchandise is under $ 50. Liz the owner provides exceptional customer service, whether it be helping to find the perfect top or offering you a beverage while you shop, she makes you feel welcome and pampered from the moment you walk in.
After meeting Kandice across the street one night, she was so sweet and had awesome hair, I couldn’t say no to a haircut cut with her. She did an exceptional job and took her time to make sure the cut was perfect. When I mentioned I was going out on the town that night, she went out of her way to curl and style my hair so that it looked extra special. If you’re looking for a full service place to get done up, or really just a neighborhood boutique to buy something beautiful, this is a wonderful place to go.

The most amazing color I’ve ever had. I was scared being that I’ve had bad experience before. but kandace was so amazing .easy to talk to and makes u feel comfortable. She totally rock s. my new spot. the owner Liz. is such a doll .and the best part is they have a boutique .the clothes is amazing. everyone must go here. I was in need of a color change for the fall and wanted to get in before thanksgiving. When I called, they were able to get me in quick. I had my hair done at the boutique and Kandice was great with my cut and color. She really is knowledgeable and knows how to make you feel comfortable. I came in with an ugly blonde balayage and came out with a pretty dark brunette on my hair. She was able to take off all of the blonde and made sure I was happy with my cut and color. After my hair, I looked around the boutique and found a dress and a cute ring for thanksgiving. I am definitely coming back to see Kandice! Super excited I found Kandice!

I am so in love with the clothes the owner is very attentive she was able to help me get a few outfits for my vacation. I also had the pleasure of getting my hair cut and dyed by Kandice I was nervous as I previously had orange hair but she fixed it and I am so happy I have a hair stylist. stop by they have it all!!!

My daughter and I were there on Saturday. Great Boutique experience very stylish clothes and great prices. It was a hot day and we were offered cold bottle water. My daughter got a very nice dress. We will definitely go again :)

The grand opening was sensational with an amazing vibe. The owner was lovely and very charming. This place is a must see for all woman looking to upgrade their wardrobe.

I attended the grand opening event of Paper Doll Boutique and was so excited to have a stylish, affordable boutique downtown San Diego. The shop is beautifully merchandised, and I loved the styles — the clothes and accessories were both glamorous and very wearable, at the same time! The ladies in the shop were very helpful and I am excited to go back soon to continue shopping their new merchandise! I love my new top and have worn it twice already — once with a mini skirt for going out to a party, and once with a pencil skirt and blazer for work. They definitely have an eye for versatile pieces!
