Payless Shoe Source

Came in here determined not to spend too much $ and of course they have bogo lol! I was greeted a few minutes of walking in by friendly staff & was told about the bogo sale.
My first intentions were to find comfortable shoes I can wear at work. But there were many clearance shoes ranging from $ 10 – 15. The shoes that caught my attention were the ones on the end cap. I have tiny feet size 6, so its really hard to find. But found some super cute pink heels. Make me feel like Barbie in them lol! They had quite a few flat shoes but being short I like a heel. Even the friendly staff helped me pick a shoe that was comfortable and advised me that I could wear it for a 6 hour shift. good to know! Working in retail I’m on my feet along time.
I actually ended up walking around the store in the comfort heels and my feet didnt hurt or pinch. So I ended up buying two pairs of shoes; included in the pictures.

Buyer BEWARE!!! I bought some boots online noting that the website states «Free Returns in Store». I had done this before and returned at the Carmel Mountain store without any problem. The manager at the Mira Mesa store tells me that since I used PayPal, I will either get a store credit or I have to mail the shoes (at my expense) back to
. I asked if we could call corporate to see if they would make an exception since the website does not clearly state this is the policy, but he told me he was «getting ready to get on a conference call and didn’t have time». I took the returns directly over to the Carmel Mountain store to find that though he didn’t have enough time to call corporate on my behalf, he called Carmel Mountain and told them not to credit my card with the return. The very nice people at Carmel Mountain looked at the website and agreed that the policy was not clear. They called corporate. Corporate agreed to credit PayPal while the store accepted the return as a one-​time courtesy because the website isn’t clear. I can’t believe that the manager at Mira Mesa couldn’t find the time to make a call on a customer’s behalf but tried to block my attempt at the return at the other store. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will be doing all my shopping at Carmel Mountain and I will never use PayPal again when I buy online at

Giving a 5 star because of the wonderful customer service i had today. I wish i asked the getleman’s name. Was just shopping around and he convinced me to buy a nicely priced running shoes and comfy socks.

They sell cheap fashionable shoes, what’s not to love? Catch a BOGO sale or snag up a coupon and you can get a really good deal here. The quality of the shoes isn’t fantastic, but you aren’t paying for these shoes to last.
Think of these shoes as disposable shoes. Good for one season, then time to toss them and get new ones.

I was looking for shoes to wear to a nice dinner. I saw some gold glitter ones on clearance for $ 9.00 but they didn’t have a size 9. Then I saw some brown strappy high heels that were very fashionable on clearance for $ 21.00. They were also out of my size. I was feeling discouraged. Then the sales lady told me I could order them and have them delivered to my house or to their store to pick them up. I asked if it would still be the same cost. She said yes. That made my day. Well, any day I buy shoes it’s a good day for me. :) Seven days later they called me and said I could pick them up. It takes 7 to 14 days for delivery. I shop at this location a lot. I noticed the sales lady. She’s usually there when I’m shopping. Her name is Cynthia. She’s really polite, helpful and knows a lot about the sales and merchandise. This is my favorite Payless because they have the largest selection. And if they don’t have it they can usually find it for you at another location or order it for you. I also come here because all the employees I have ever encountered are very helpful and have exceeded my expectations.

I went in here twice last week to get shoes for a wedding for my husband, son, and myself and both times it was a great experience! All the employees are so attentive and friendly, they check back constantly to make sure you’re doing alright and finding everything okay. Upon walking in after greeting you they take you exactly to where your size is. I was really impressed by the excellent customer service!
Of course the sales are always great as well, and the shoes just get cuter and cuter! I found about 6 different pairs I would wear all the time and had to drag myself away! Their shoe selection for kids is great as well! I always have problems finding my 2 year old son shoes because he has really wide feet, and they carry children’s shoes in wides! This was a really exciting moment for me as a mom haha.
Seriously though, they’re very friendly and I will always come back for my family’s footwear needs :)

You sell shoes for kids but offer no bathroom for paying customers. You make guests drive to babies r us and tell us to use their bathroom. That’s wrong. How dare you tell your paying customers to go to another establishment to use the bathroom. How about I give my money to Famous Footwear or someplace that has a bathroom. Bad customer service

I dont purchase shoes here because in the past Ive always been disappointed of the styles they carry. But, keyword, «the past” — now into the present moment, theyve gotten so much better with their various styles, especially in sizes 5 – 5.5. And, they sell cute purses as well as cheap dangly earrings & bracelets– theyve truly upgraded in their merchandise.
It was my nephews birthday and being active as he is, he goes thru pairs of shoes in a matter of weeks so for his birthday his mom requested shoes as gifts. I came in here thinking why spend so much money on brand name shoes if hes just going to ruin them as quickly as he puts it on. We purchased him Airwalks for 19.99 and a pair of Airwalks sandals for 14.99, now thats a damn steal!
And as other reviewers have mentioned, their BOGOs are always great, especially if you are a shoe whore as myself. Ended up getting canvas shoes for 3.50 $ and sandals for 5 $- and THAT makes me a happy girl!
The BOGO applies to EVERYTHING in the store so its worth your time to check out!
But then again, its just my opinion.
