The man who runs the show asked me, «do you want something refreshing or sweet»? It was a hot day so I said refreshing! He hands me over this bomb mix of awesomeness! Not sure what was in the cup but it was delicious. Definitely something cool to enjoy near the beach.

I was visiting my friends in San Diego at their neighborhood fair and ran into Pirate Sno-​balls. While in line, an adorable kid wanted his snowball to match his outfit and they made him a fabulous creation while I decided on a signature coconut sno-​ball that tasted like a milkshake. Heavenly. And totally unique to the customer. Such a lovely experience and a great treat! Wish we had something like this in the South Bay!

Killer Sno balls!!! Like shaved ice but better. It’s not too «icey». Owner is from New Orleans and told me how he imported the machine custom from the south. You can’t beat the price and quality, this is the real deal !

Found this shaved ice stand on the PB Boardwalk the other day walking with my two kids, and we couldn’t help but stop to check it out. The man running the stand was dressed in pirate attire, which the kids loved, and he was extremely helpful in showing us the different flavors and how the shaved ice was actually made. Each of us got a different flavor and we couldn’t have been happier with the result. My kids absolutely loved it and we’ve been back 3 times already. It’s not like regular snow cones that are just chunks of ice that you have to chew, but instead they take the time to shave the ice so it is very easy to drink or eat with a spoon. I would highly recommend stopping by for a quick treat on a sunny day, and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
