I feel obligated to update my initial review as I have eaten there multiple times(always weekdays around 11am-12pm). Service has been quite pleasant. I was greeted each time I entered and left. They bring the pizza to my table and come back to ask if I enjoyed my pizza. The inside of the restaurant also looked very clean. Pizza Studio has the best price for a pepperoni pizza at $ 6 when comparing to the other quick fires I have eaten at. I did order their Hawaiian but did not enjoy it as much so I am sticking to the pepperoni. They do serve Pepsi products. I rarely drink soda when I eat out yet I still feel the urge to write about it as I never want to order a Pepsi unless it is Cherry Pepsi. Parking can also be a bit chaotic at lunch as that mall gets a lot of traffic. Pizza Studio is definitely the quickfire of choice for me and my single topping pepperoni pizza. I hope they continue to expand up to North County.

Another place where you can create your own pizza with unlimited toppings for $ 7.99! This chain is the only one I know of that lets you choose your own crust too– they have gluten free, firecracker, rosemary herb, whole grain and flax seed, and traditional to choose from. I chose the firecracker because I like it spicy! They let me get basil pesto and tomato blend for my pizza creation and I added mozzarella, a bunch of veggies and premium meats along with basil for the finishing touch. The pizza came out fast and although it was not perfectly round, was pretty tasty. The dough was not as crunchy as I would like… The workers are very pleasant and friendly though!

Can’t say enough about this place! The pizza is amazing! Awesome price to have anything you want on your pizza! The service is great, very friendly and helpful. Rigo is one of our favorites! He makes the pizza perfect every time and is very customer oriented!

Definitely agree with everyone else that this place has the biggest topping selection by far which is awesome, but otherwise don’t see myself coming again. It was an hour before closing and NOBODY was inside which was strange. Workers seemed very nonchalant about making the pizzas even though we were trying to joke with them. Their dough is pressed like pieology with a giant dough squasher which is always amusing. The sauces didn’t seem to add much to the pizza as our pizzas were very ordinary-tasting even though the toppings were fresh and abundant. The worst part is that they burnt two out of three of our pizzas. I mention the dough earlier because thin crust is unforgiving if its in the oven just a little too long. They put in each pizza as it was finished being built, but they ended up taking all the pizzas out at the same time so the first two were in for way too long. Even though I ended up having the one that wasn’t burnt, I would have gone to Blaze or Pieology nearby because their sauces and ingredients taste better and they also have solid customer service every time I’ve gone. Though I mention mediocre service, I really don’t think the pizzas taste that great at Pizza Studio. Go for the great assortment of toppings though.

Im pretty impressed I will be back for sure! Its a similar set up to subway you start with your crust and then pick and choose your sauces, toppings, all of that its also only $ 8 for unlimited toppings?! my husband and I can NEVER agree on pizza toppings so this works perfect and you can order online if you wont want to wait or dine in but the place was SPOTLESS. it was so clean and well maintained. I was very happy. the service was impeccable. So boss man if you are reading this your staff on 01.17 was excellent, all 3 of us had pizzas in our hands within 5 minutes of walking in the front door, super impressed.

This place blows every other build-your-own pizza out of the water! Not only was the pizza phenomenal… but so was the service! The ingredients are so fresh and delicious PLUS they have much more to choose from. Choose from the FIVE different flavored crusts(one is gluten-free!), choose the delicious toppings, to include five separate spices!!! Even though we walked in at the very last minute… the service was excellent and welcoming! Definitely will be back often! The awesome servers should be recognized: Roberto, Crystal, and Elijah! You guys rock! Thank you

After a night out on the town and a morning of sleeping in the first thing that came to mind when I woke up in the afternoon was pizzaaaaaaaa! At only $ 5.99 for a small pizza on the menu(what they refer to as starving artist originals) and $ 7.99 for a small create your own pizza with 5 different types of crust/sauce/cheese and over 30 different toppings where you can choose as many as you’d like the price just can’t be beat! Not in the mood to be creative I went with the veggie lovers for myself and the buffalo chicken for my fiancé. The pizzas are just big enough for 1(maybe 2 people). They tasted good and flavorful but be forewarned the crusts are very thin so I’m not sure how many of those unlimited toppings would actually fit. I’m more of a thick crust girl myself but at only $ 5.99 I can’t really complain!

Pizza Studio is yet another entry in the current build your own pizza fad. Upon entering, one is greeted with quite the chaotic ordering process featuring multiple stations. And, just like urban plates, it doesn’t work terribly well. Is there any hope for Pizza Studio to distinguish itself? To some extent, the customer drowns in a sea of choices. For the most part, those choices are tasty. The kick in the firecracker dough livened up the overall composition. And I particularly enjoyed the jerk chicken spice on top. Perhaps, most importantly, the meat toppings had an overall good flavor, which does serve to differentiate Pizza Studio from its competition who tend to reduce production costs through providing cheap toppings. Summary: A cheaper studio than you’ll ever find in Craigslist.

3.5 stars These create you own pizza places are the new trend now, they are popping up all over the place, but wasn’t it Kramer who first came up with the concept many years ago on Seinfiled? Anyhow, if you’ve ever been to one of these build your own pizza places, this one stands out because of the many different choices in crust. Regular, Whole grain and flax seed, rosemary herb, firecracker, and gluten free. Theres an extra charge for gluten free, funny how the only crust that actually has the word«free» in it cost extra. LOL I know thats the norm, thats just how my mind works. You can create your own pizza for $ 7.99 Crust, sauce, cheese, and as many toppings as you like. I however opted for the cheaper route, they have a few«Starving Artist Originals» for $ 5.99 you can choose from a list of margherita, pepperoni, veggie lovers, white, island or buffalo chicken. With these options, you can choose a crust and omit but not substitute items. I went with the Island, with firecracker crust, Tomato sauce, mozzarella, caramelized onion, bacon and basil, it comes with pineapple but i omitted it. I liked the crust it wasn’t too spicy but just a hint of heat in the back ground. I doused it with cholula and red peppers anyhow. It was a good pizza, but not too filling because it was a thin crust. The staff was really friendly and helped explain everything since it was my first time there. I’d come back to try the rosemary herb crust and create my own next time.

If you’re in a hurry and craving pizza then this is the place for you. Coming here is like walking into Subway or Chipotle. You have your pick 6 different crusts(including gluten free), 5 sauces, 5 cheeses as well as a good selection of veggie and meat toppings. They even have dry powder/seasonings(chipotle, Jamaican jerk, truffle salt, etc.) that you can add to your pizza for extra flavor. You watch as your own personal pizza is being created with unlimited toppings for $ 7.99. You can also opt for the $ 5.99 starving artist originals but I suggest splurging the extra $ 2 for a truly unique and loaded personal pizza experience. I’ve been here a couple of times since the Grand Opening and each time the crew has been friendly and obliging. The pizza has a thin crust and is foldable(somewhat like New York pizza) for cheesy, hand holding, jaw sinking goodness. This is a great place for a quick inexpensive bite that deserves visitation.

This place makes surprisingly good pizza! I had the marguerite(one of their creations) for $ 5.99 and my husband had the white pizza. The crust was crispy, the cheese was good, and the sauce was okay – not tons of flavor, but good. And while it took a bit longer than 2 minutes, they were done pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t make a special trip to eat here, but if I’m in the area, I’d stop in.

Quality comes first; variety comes second. Third comes love? Marriage? Eloping? What kind of review am I writing again? Oops. There is one rule in Andy’s foodventures: Go for the GOLD. Freakin’ marry this thing with all the love you can give. Some may wonder how this transcends practically with custom pies, and well kids – dont follow my example. Natalie F. already knows my less-tasteful techniques and calls me out on it every single time. She’s a keeper friend in this cruel and judging world. Food: — Custom Build-Your-Own Pizzas: There’s one beautiful thing about these pies, and it’s luckily found in the sheer variety of combinations you can make just by saying a bunch of toppings and hoping for the best. What I love about Pizza Studio is that they have a few more options for the kind of crust you’d want, and since it’s a thinner crust, you can actually eat the whole pie in one sitting without feeling like you’re committing numerous sins at once. I liked the Whole Grain & Flax Seed option – comes as a thicker thin crust but has that deep woody flavor you would want in your crust(and if you’re a bit more health-conscious!) — Toppings: Going for the gold means get everything and anything that sounds good, which means you’ll have a topping overload but I’ll give you permission to do that. Their veggie options have such variety and have this crisp freshness to them. Their meats are unique and can play a few games with you. How about Sweet Chicken Sausage? Or Crispy Bacon? Bring it on! — Other notable items: Truffle salt – please get some of that. Oh, and their Basil Pesto – ask for it on top of your pizza and on the side! Totally brings any pesto lover to their knees. The things I would do for beautiful pesto… Pros: — Fresh and large variety of ingredients. I’m a van of unique toppings and crusts and they all seem to have been made with the end-product in mind. Very pleased. — Modern and poppin’ interior. Kind of reminds me of an eclectic design with a tinge feel of a diner. Not sure how to put my finger on it – but it works for pizza! — Helpful and friendly waiters. — Pretty good price for the quality of food. — Portion size: A hungry man will be pretty content finishing the whole pizza. That said, portion size is smaller than places like Pieology, but that’s also to your advantage because usually people have a hard time finishing their pizzas in the first place. I’d say it’s a win! Cons: — None as of now! I love this new fad of making your own pies. It just allows people like me – and my obnoxious rule – to go to town. Lets just say that I dont plan on tastefully choosing toppings in the near future. I hope there are like-minded foodies like me out there – lets do this thing together.

Awesome pizza. It was my first time trying Pizza Studio and I have to say I was impressed. When they say they use quality ingredients & meats they mean it! I could taste the quality and not to mention they have one of the best crusts I’ve ever had on a pizza. Great customer service, the staff was extremely courteous and friendly. Definitely a great pizza place!

Apparently build-your-own pizzas is quite a «thing» now. I can deal with that. Natalie F is a cheapskate, as are her friends, so we came here because we heard there was BOGO! That is music to my ears. Oh that reminds me: if you were there yesterday early afternoon and were sad there were no open tables inside, sorry about that. We brought about 20 people. And took all the moveable chairs. ANYWAY. Service is friendly and all that. I like that they offer more options than, say, Project Pie and Pieology. They offer goat cheese which made me super happy, but a lot more veggies and meats as well. They also have a lot of sauces and 4 different crust options! I got traditional because I am not creative. Andy P KNOWSBETTER but still puts EVERYSINGLETHING on his pizza, so it weighs like 90 pounds and you can barely even pick it up and it cooks weird, but he likes it even though he is wrong. I got a normal amount of things and it was so good. The crust is super thin, which tastes pretttyyy good but(remember I am a cheapskate) I eat more of this pizza than Pieology because of that. BUT to each their own, and both are delicious and I will go back to each. I am glad to see more of these super customizable pizzas close to my house!

Not the best, but definitely not the worst amongst the«fast casual» pizza joints popping up everywhere. What distinguishes Pizza Studio from its San Diego competitors, are their crusts. Most notably they offer firecracker and rosemary garlic crusts in addition to your standard original. Overall, I felt like they were a little cheap on the unlimited toppings. Initially I only received 1 pineapple ring, cut into 4 small pieces. I think the girl realized the disappointment in my face and added another pineapple ring. The pizza itself wasn’t anything spectacular. The rosemary garlic crust, while flavorful reminded me of a very tasty cracker. I wasn’t too impressed with their baking process. The conveyor style baking oven/machine, seemed a little too«cheap» for my taste.

Location: Behind Mitsuwa on the far left of the complex next to the fitness center I believe. Décor: Look a pizza joint. Food & Drinks: These type of pizza places are new to me, but this one had more bad points than good. To start off with the good it did have a variety of crust options and variety of toppings as well compared to some others. Unfortunately, if you don’t put a lot of toppings on it the pizza comes out small and if you order a premade one you will see very little toppings on top. The taste was a bit off too and I couldn’t figure that out as well. Overall, I would go to a different pizza place if I were you. Okay eating my friends!

Had to grab a quick bite to eat and since this place was new, I decided to try it out. When my friend and I walked in, we were immediately greeted by their friendly staff. I like how you could have unlimited toppings for $ 8, or pick one of their creations for $ 2 less. Other places usually charge the same, so that’s pretty cool. Another plus is that they have 3 different kinds of crusts! ANDTHEYHAVECORNFOR A TOPPING. HOW’D THEYKNOW I LIKECORN!?? They also had interesting toppings like broccoli, and balsamic glaze that they can add at the end. Surprisingly, my friend’s pizza, the Island(which was $ 2 cheaper) was pretty good. I’d have to say it was a little better than mine because I just added random toppings, that probably didn’t go as well together. I liked how the pizzas didn’t turn out super oily, but they didn’t give me as much arugula as I wanted(literally one piece per slice). The crust was good since it was a rosemary crust, but it was a little dry. However, I definitely recommend this place over another pizza place in the area(that I won’t mention by name, but I’m sure if you eat around this area you would know). Plus, they have friendly staff who don’t act like they hate working there, unlike the other restaurant, which is always a plus :)

I like this new Pizza Studio with their speedy service and great tasting pizzas and available toppings. I had them make me the build your own pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms rounding the vegetables for only $ 7.99( ). For dessert, I could not resist the fresh baked peanut butter cookie. Jackie just had to have it( ). The pizza looked great when it arrived at my table and tasted even better( ). All the ingredients were fresh and tasted great, but what stood out to me were the Italian sausage, probably because it a good amount of fennel in it, and the salami with it meaty and salty flavor. I had the original crust and it was great. It was well prepared and of the thin variety( ). It was more crispy rather than moist and chewy, but I liked it. In a nut shell, I enjoyed the pizza very much and would eat here again. The peanut butter cookie was very good and beautifully baked( ). This cookie was filled with a great peanut butter flavor and peanuts, but what killed me was it terrific moist and chewy texture on the inside( ). I am glad I got it. Service here is very dynamic. They greet you as you walk in, make pleasant small talk as you walk the line creating your pizza, and deliver your food with a smile and ask if you need anything else. I liked that…

Went here with a friend for dinner. The staff here is super friendly and nice. I sampled the buffalo chicken pizza and it was really good and spicy. I got a custom one with loaded meat, veggies and extra cheese! I got the rosemary crust but they have flax seed crust, or dry chili pepper, or gluten free crust along with some other infused crust too. Their custom one runs at $ 7.99 each!
