Plant Power Fast Food

Looks like the same menu as Evolution in Hillcrest but they skimp on portions. Got the raw tacos and couldn’t even see anything inside unlike the location in Hillcrest where everything would be pouring out. Not sure if it’s because of the new location, new employees, trying to expand, or if they are changing what they do because people in the new location don’t know what to expect. Oh well hopefully they turn it around.

So good! We’re in town visiting for 5 days and we ate lunch here 4 of those days because we loved it so much. I absolutely love the garden salad, which I got with the cilantro lime dressing. So fresh and simple and amazing-​the way they shred the carrots and beets really make the salad. I think it might be one of the best salads I’ve ever had, and I eat a lot of salad. We also tried the marinated kale avocado quinoa salad which was awesome, and the Thai wraps which have a Thai cashew pâté, peppers, and are wrapped in a collard green leaf. Great place and super healthy options!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would? Everything is vegan and super duper delicious! Even if you’re not a vegan you should try this place! It’s your typical fast food joint but a lot healthier and cruelty free! My favorite was the buffalo wings and the burger. I was actually blown away how good everything tasted. Well done! I will definitely come back.

So I was hoping this place would be good but I was disappointed at every turn! From the service to the food everything would have been 0 stars if I could have put 0! After waiting 20 minutes for my food which is not fast food by any means my two burgers were cold and the grilled cheese sandwich had cold cheese straight out of the refrigerator in it not melted! After driving home and paying $ 40 for my meal for my family and everyone being disappointed I call up the restaurant and get a recording during business hours so you can’t even talk to anyone you have to leave a message! Had high hopes for this place and was sadly disappointed will not be going back ever! Get your business together before you opened up if you want to keep customers! Especially service and food!

Definitely going to come back, i tried the wake & bacon burger and it was amazing! Better than any burger ive had before going vegan. Theres so much variety on the menu it was overwhelming, only because everything sounded so good. Anyone would enjoy this place no matter what they typically eat. The pricing of the food was great for what it was.

So far I am impressed with this place. I have been hanging out here for about an hour now watching the endless stream of hippies come and go. This place is very modern and clean. The service is lightning fast. I ordered the chili cheese fries and they were done almost instantly. They were pretty tasty. The fries were crispy and the chili and cheese sauce were not packed with flavor but not bland either. It was so much food I could not eat it all. I am waiting now for my wife so I can order some burgers and see if this place is Worth adding into my weekly rotation of OB fare.

Man oh man! Super disappointed! Me and a friend of mine were pumped to try to new vegan spot… and we left super bummed.
Service: hahah it was slightly frustrating but kinda funny. The dude working the counter had to be higher than I could ever imagine because he had zero idea of what was going on. We would ask questions (like the bread or bun) and he would have no idea and completely guess. and be wrong. He was super nice but was of zero help.
Location: awesome.
Food: Actually pretty tasty! The portions are just super, super small. Like smaller than you can imagine. They don’t accurately size up to the price! If you’re a female, you’ll probably be good. If you’re a male, you’ll leave starving, heading to hodads for a veggie burger.
Price: Astronomical for what you get haha.

the staff here will gladly offer suggestions on their favorites! so far i’ve tried the Buffalo 66 sandwich (good portion for the price and actually tastes like chicken) fries, and the honey mustard ‘chicken’ wrap, as well as the raw key lime tart. love all of it! looking forward to trying the fish tacos next

I love seeing places like this show up in Ocean Beach. My first time giving this place a try and scored with the steak sandwich. Loved it!

I saw that brand new OB PP is open, just drove in, parked in their cool spacious lot —
and I see some cool people getting their munch on.
I asked Benjamin for an idea– cool dude knows his stuff — he reccommended the RawBurger —
Wrapped in lettuce, scrumptious and very more-​ish.

The food is vegan, tasty, and only a block from my house! The cashew «cheese» and chili fries, and the Rambler was awesome. Disappointed in the Holy Guacamole. A very sad burger. The self checkout stations are nice if it gets busy. Lots of different things to try.

Great vegan food at a reasonable price. Watch out for all the weird vegan people in their blankets and dreadlocks.
The chili cheese fries ($ 4) are huge and need to be split.
The buffalo wings ($ 6 large) are really good and have a nice bite to them.
I got the rambler ($ 8), basically a western cheese burger, and loved it. One of my onion rings had a bit of tough onion skin in it so hopefully they crack down a little on the food prep. A Unilocaler below me had a pretty pitiful looking guacamole burger. Simple food still needs to be done right.
The ‘beefy’ patty is a buck extra, kinda a bummer. I’ll try the black bean next time. You can get a drink (really good iced tea) and fries or chili for $ 3 added to your meal. So for around $ 11 you have a full meal. You could definitely get by with a burger alone though, they are big.

Two words: California Burrito. It tastes like real Carne Asada! Delicious! My boyfriend also got the Holy guacamole burger with the «beefy» patty, which was yummy too. Portions are very reasonable and so are the prices! Look no further for delicious vegan food! Also, their cups are biodegradable!

Stopped in today to try the new spot which is a block from home. Spacious parking lot and outdoor seating. I ordered the ‘beefy’ rambler burger and a small order of wings. Burger was HUGE and super tasty, wings were great, no ranch came on the side which was a slight bummer as a to go order but sauce was awesome! Unlike the similar Native Foods near by, the prices are MUCH more reasonable and a much larger variety of choices on the menu! Everything is under $ 9, most things are under $ 8. While I am not a vegan or vegetarian, this food was soooo good regardless. Love that this is in my neighborhood now!

Best vegan California burrito I’ve tried. Best Raw Burger, revival tonic excellent. Will be back to try other menu items.

I was fortunate enough to drive by and see PPFF open yesterday, and made a quick turn into their spacious parking lot.
As I walked in, I was greeting warmly by one of the owners. He walked me through the ordering system (using the iPad installed at one of four locations in the restaurant; you can also place your order at the register if you prefer).
I selected five different items, as I wanted to be supportive of his plant-​based establishment and I had two other people I knew would be waiting at home for lunch.
We divided up the items that were to feed the three of us, and there was enough food that we still had leftovers after satiating some large appetites.
The food was outstanding. The flavor profiles were distinctive. The sauces were fantastic. While I’m typically not a burger and fries guy, I will definitely return soon to explore some of the items we had yesterday, as well as new features on the menu as well.
All in all, this place is definitely very worthy of supporting.

Definitely worth a try! Food was gone before I could take a picture, wait no… that’s how it’s supposed to be! Brought my brother so we could sample more without having to crawl back home. The beefy patty was amazing, worth the extra ducket. The sides were cheap and filling, we had to order another round after. Definitely going to have to trade in native foods for this spot. They’re on part with amy’s, without the hype or overhead.

There literally is not enough words to describe how amazing this place is. Not only is it reasonably priced (10 bucks for a burger fries and drink), but the food is beyond incredible. I tried 6 things on the menu today (decided to go all out), and every single one blew my mind. I will definetly be going here 3+ times a week, just so that I can try everything on the menu. Watch out Jack in the box, you’re about to go out of business to this place!

Fantastic! Huge variety of food: burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, desserts, and smoothies. Chili cheese fries were over the moon. Décor is sleek and warm. Staff is friendly and efficient. Great vegan food. Nice location.

The other review so far is someone who is confused and misinformed. I was able to eat at the soft opening event which had a guest list for friends and family only. not many people got to attend this event as it was training for the staff and a showcase to those close to the owner and workers. They did not let anyone in who was not on the list.
Now to the restaurant. I thought the food was outstanding. I am not vegan but I would eat here anytime. Can not even tell their meat is vegan based. They have an amazing menu with all different types of food. All at good prices and all made pretty fast. I got the california Burrito and loved it. I also got some Chili Fries. Overall a great experience. Love this place. Need kegs
