By far the worst customer service and psychiatric care I’ve ever come across, as a clinical psychologist myself, I directed my sister to this place assuming it was going to benefit her, she tried to seek help multiple times and was directed in to a brick wall, follow through is poor, the staff assisting with appointments knows nothing about the mental health field, you will be placed on hold for several minutes, they will not call you back and will set you up with a therapist that is clinically unable to assist you, if you want a referral elsewhere, good luck they will deny you, it’s a shame they don’t read their reviews and actually treat the patients like human beings. I’ve heard from so many people about the poor care from this place. It’s due for a leadership vacuum and updated patient centered care training. Read your reviews and listen to your patients. Otherwise you will continue to fail the system and those that need help.

If you like being treated like you’re at the DMV check this place out. Dr. Saucedo didn’t even bother shaking my hand nor making direct eye contact when we met. I immediately lost respect for her and had no interest in using her again. I am trying another therapist out next month. Hopefully dr Holloway has a warmer personality.

I have dealt with both the Mission Valley office and now a the Chesapeake office. Both front office staff are terrible. Very unfriendly bunch of people. First of all, I was put on hold for 16 minutes before someone acknowledged me, then I was«scolded» for not making a follow-up appointment when we left the office and proceeded to put me on hold again because she was by herself. I waited another 7 min before I hung up. If it weren’t for our awesome therapist, we would never go back. The front office staff should also be in counseling for attitude adjustment.

I have been seeing Dr. Copeland for over two years. She is AMAZING!!! BUT I have had to deal with their horrible billing department for 2 years as well. I no longer see Dr Copeland and still dealing with their billing dept. It is a nightmare! My billing should be easy and yet they keep screwing it up. They messed it up from the beginning and just can’t seem to fix it. I have seen the SAME bill go from thousands to nothing to a couple bucks to hundreds and now I owe $ 60. I shouldn’t owe anything! I am still trying to deal with them. It may not seem like much but I shouldn’t owe anything. I definitely recommend Dr Copeland but I would recommend making sure that they get your billing right from the beginning. Sigh

It’s too bad that this place is run with money on the mind instead of wellness. There is ample parking and nice huge trees that provide shade outside shade, the waiting room is nice and roomy and next to a window so you get lots of natural light, and the receptionist Vanessa is the bomb. Too bad that’s where the good stops. I’ve seen 3 therapists here. The first one(Kimberly Holloway) was no bueno. I saw her for a year because… who knows why really. Everyone was telling me to leave her but I stuck with her. That’s what I get for tolerating abusive behavior growing up, it sticks with you even when you think you will know better. Oh well. So then I moved onto to Susan Orgera who was awesome. But she only lasted 2 months and left. So then I moved onto Ashely Peterson who was also awesome, but she too only lasted 2 or 3 months before she left. Basically what it comes down to is that the awesome therapists leave because this is a place where they have to have a huge caseload and therefore can’t provide the sort of service they believe they should be able to provide. Meanwhile, the bad ones stay because they’re really just in it for the money or proving that they must be good people to have chosen this career. Ha. Save your mental health, take care of yourself and avoid this place. I know that seeing someone outside of insurance can be expensive and daunting but it’ll be worth it rather than having people mess with your mental health because they don’t know how to help you or would rather just laugh at your pain.

There is ample parking at this PCSD office location. Also, the front desk staff are very professional, polite & nice. It was my 1st visit with my new therapist, Elizabeth Tebo. I know I’ve only had one session with her, but I just want to say that she is super good at asking the hard questions while still being very sensitive. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for counseling or talk therapy.
