There is something magic about Cindy & «Q» serving you one their beignets. A Thursday UTC(near Macy’s) 3−7p FLIGHT back to New Orleans without the luggage and airport full body search, if just to see that Cindy smile, its worth a visit…

I really hope these two running the booth at the Golden Hill Farmers Market open up their own place soon because it is long overdue! I met these friendly faces,(possibly the owners) over a year ago and I was instantly drawn in by the free beignet sample. Light, fluffy and covered in sugar… Just how I like them! Be sure to grab some extra napkins as you’re sure to need them. If your sweet tooth wants to take the day off then have no fear because Q&C is packing more than beignets in their arsenal. Their Filipino and New Orleans style cuisine is authentic and cooked to order. I started with the easy go to lumpia plate but over time have tried what I believe is the entire menu all of which was very good. It seems that they are constantly adding menu items every couple of weeks which is great as it keeps me checking in on a weekly or biweekly basis. Besides the previously mentioned beignets and lumpia some of my favorite menu items thus far have been the pork tocino and the jambalaya. They actually sell the lumpia frozen so you can take them home to fry them up yourself. I have yet to do this but they recommend frying them in a pan with little oil rather than deep frying. Great tip! I know they have yet to open their own brick and mortar location so until then searching them out at the farmers market will have to hold me over. I can only imagine what they are going to be able to pull off with a full kitchen behind them but I am sure it will be at least on par if not way better than what they are doing now in a tent on the street. Good luck, guys! We’re rooting for you!

Fried food heaven! I stumbled upon this gem at the Golden Hill Farmer’s Market. The sample of beignet was DELICIOUS but I couldn’t pass up on the lumpia. 10 in the morning and I had hot, greasy lumpia in my mouth… I’m sure you’re all jealous. Very reasonably priced and the owners are delightful. This is my first Unilocal review, so obviously I love this place. I wish they had a website so I can order online, but I think this place is in start-up mode because they don’t have a website yet. I had to hunt these guys down on Facebook! I will be back for your lumpia, Q&C!

LOVE QnC Beignets! Their beignets and lumpia are to die for! Fresh, hot and delicious! The owners are AWESOME! Too many exclamation points, but well deserved! In fact, I ordered lumpia from them for my annual Halloween party. Can’t wait to serve them to my guests this evening. Thank you!

Oh man! The only place I ever found that served Beignets was The Jazz Kitchen in downtown Disney, but those were expensive. These are just as good, if not better, and they are CHEAP! I stumbled on them at the Golden Hill farmers market and loved every little bite. They give you 4 Beignets for a dollar, they also had a hefty box of them for $ 4 a BIG box of them for $ 8. I had the $ 4 box and shared them with a friend of mine. It was the perfect size for two people to split. I’m gonna look for them at other farmers markets and get some every chance I get!

Oh man, I love beignets soooooo freaking much. They’re even better when they’re fresh and made right in front of you. I met these guys at the Golden Hill farmer’s market. Here’s what I thought: Pros: *Made fresh in front of you *Really reasonably priced. I would splurge and get the $ 4 box. It’s perfect for two people to share or one if you have a big sweet tooth. * You get the choice of cinnamon or powdered sugar. I love the powdered sugar best. * It’s owned by the two people working the counter. They’re really sweet. Cons: Ummmmmm, beignets can be messy. Just grab a few napkins, you’ll be fine.

Went to the Kearny Mesa Farmer’s market today and just had to try these… YUUUMMMY! You can have them Cali Style with cinnamon or the Authentic way with just powdered sugar. The owners working the booth were very friendly. I HIGHLYRECOMMEND trying these out! They’re sinfully delicious and made fresh on the spot :)
