Love this place!!! My first time in Pacific Beach & came twice. I had beef rolled tacos my first time. The guac & cheese was mas generous. My second visit was a carne asada tostada, just enough for lunch. I will definitely come back next time in PB

I’ve lived in San Diego for 15 years, and have never enjoyed a California burrito as much as those from Ramiro’s! You can’t go wrong, with a perfectly formed tortilla in flavor and texture, filled to the brim with the best came asada, fries and cheese in town!!!

This is my favorite late night spot. But be warned, there will most definitely be a long line if its late night on the weekend. When I want something a little«lighter,» I’ll go for the veggie burrito. So damn good… French fries, beans, rice, guacamole, cheese. To be honest I’m actually not even sure what goes into the damn thing. But I am sure that I’ve ordered this bad boy many times and have never been disappointed. I may not remember exactly what goes into this glorious burrito of love, but I do know that my sober, non-hungover self thanks my drunken self profusely the following day. Pre-hangover cure right here! Maybe that’s why I love it so much? The meat here is not sketchy like most cheap, late night taco stands. So feel free to order your beloved Cali or carne asada burrito. I’ve had both and can attest to their deliciousness and non-sketchiness. Additionally, you can’t go wrong by their rolled tacos with guacamole. Just do it.

Absolutely love their breakfast burritos. It usually turns into a breakfast/lunch burrito which is even better considering its only $ 6 for how big it is! Their red hot sauce is awesome too!

I’ve found my late night carne asada fries craving place — this is what a typical plate of carne asada fries should taste like!!! Yes, I know it’s the day after Thanksgiving, but Scotty and I were really craving carne asada fries, so we decided to go grab some after hanging out. Ramiro’s has two windows — one for drive thru and one for walk up. Since it was about 10:30pm when we arrived, there was no one there and had a lot of time to take a look at the menu, but we knew exactly what we wanted. The carne asada fries here come with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, fries, and carne asada. I asked for the sour cream on the side and extra red salsa. Typical orders come with 4 portions of salsa, but I received 8 portions, which was the perfect amount for sharing. Everything tasted like typical carne asada fries. The only complaint from Scotty was that the meat was cut up really small, so they kept falling off of our forks. Otherwise, everything was great. I’ll definitely be coming here again for late night carne asada fries.

My girlfriend and I go here at least once a week and we love this place! This is a great taco shop and the guys who work here are always really fast and friendly. It is cheap but they don’t compromise on quality. I usually get a burrito or a combination plate, all of which are great. You can also create your own combinations or burritos which is really convenient. Their breakfast burritos are also really good! I highly recommend Ramiro’s and will definitely keep coming back here for a long time!

Visiting from the East Coast and eating at a taxi stand style next to the beach was exactly what I wanted! Food was delicious, massive portions with plenty of leftovers. Lot of options for vegetarians as well. They have a cute seating area in front as well. I would recommend this place especially for tourists, sitting out in the open air was much nicer and real than the stuffy fancy fusion place I went to in La Jolla yesterday.

The best red sauce in San Diego! Their bacon, eggs, potatoes, and cheese breakfast burrito is my jam.

Definitely a better alternative to Taco Surf down the street, their rice and beans are beautifully seasoned and my fish taco was enormous and well balanced with salads and salsa. Bae had rolled tacos and the guacamole was perfect, and in abundance. Will definitely return.

Not a huge fan. I got the carne asada fries and they were greasy and upset my stomach. I actually prefer rigobertos even though it has a lower rating on Unilocal

My go-to place(it’s literally a stand) for a California burrito. Whenever someone asks where they can grab a California burrito while in San Diego, I recommend this place. I’ve been to Ramiro’s countless times at the end of my nights out in PB and a few times during the day just because their California burrito is so, so delicious. You MUST put the REDSAUCE on your burrito! There is nothing else like that fiery goodness!!! Rolled tacos are great, too. They come smothered in guacamole, shredded lettuce and cheese. And of course, the carne asada fries are heavenly. You should probably split these with at least 1 other person, though, because they come in a full size to-go box. I can’t speak to their other menu items. If you’re in the area and craving a California burrito, you should stop by here!

Good grief. If I wasn’t short on cash at the moment, I assuredly would not have finished my food. I don’t know how this place has 4 stars. My mother is from Mexico, so I did grow up on a lot of authentic Mexican food, but I am in no way a picky eater. I’m the kind of person that will eat fast food because I like the taste of it… But this… Not only does it taste frozen, but it tastes OLD, like food that has been freezer burned from sitting in a freezer too long and ultimately absorbed the taste of all the other food in the same refrigerator after thawing. Even the hot sauce was not sauce. I opened the container to poor it on my food, and a cylinder shaped piece of red jelly plopped out :( EDIT: I didn’t finish the food. The beans were meh but I did like the rice. But I couldn’t bring myself to consume the last taquito. They were that bad. And I love me some taquitos.

Am I a picky eater just because I don’t like mayonnaise, and force taco shops to give me actual avocado instead of guacamole? Maybe. Does a Russian ballet dancer make Swan Lake more beautiful. Yes! What do the two have in common — we both appreciate the nuanced little things that make life a bit more enjoyable. Like the breakfast burrito at Ramiro’s. Its good enough for me to drive to Pacific Beach from La Mesa(where incidentally there are 6 taco shops within a mile radius). So the best 2:45 seconds of my day will be eating a potato egg and cheese breakfast burrito while listening to the ethereal melody of Swan Lake imagining a dance scene from Degas paintings. Time to get a little bit more out of your day… eat delicious Mexican food.

These guys, in my opinion, make the best burritos on PB. I LOVE coming here, getting a burrito, and then walking across the street to see the sun set over the Pacific Ocean! They don’t save on the meat and offer quite a selection for a very reasonable price. Couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve biked here.

Delicious, quick Mexican food with a drive thru. The phone number is different than what is listed:(858) 273‑5227. Call for pick up and don’t forget the hot sauce. Green sauce is delish on fish tacos and red sauce is delish on everything else!!! Crispy tacos, enchiladas, California burritos and carne Asada fries are some of my faves!

The WORST Mexican shop I’ve been to in San Diego! I didn’t even think that was possible in San Diego, but yep, there is. Got the Cali burrito with chicken. The chicken was shredded, which I’m fine with, but there were bone and nerve pieces after each bite. The cheese was cold and still looked like it came out of the fridge. The hot sauce packets didn’t even pour out, looked like jello. Will never come back here!

OMG, this place. In a sea of taquerias in San Diego, this is my #1 go to spot for rolled tacos or carnitas burritos. I honestly dream of these dishes daily and no trip to San Diego is complete without me macking these down at least 2 or 3 times while I’m there. What makes these rolled tacos stand out over everyone else’s in SD is the consistency of the goodness year over year. They have just the right amount of light crunch on the outside and nice and tender beef on the inside. They don’t skimp on the queso fresco, cheddar, guac or lettuce which makes it fell like you’re eating a small salad at the end when the taquitos are gone. This is random, but I love how finely they chop the lettuce and I swear it’s always so crisp and fresh as if they just chopped it. Top all of this with their super simple, but spicy red salsa and I am in heaven for sure. I’ve been known to order the 5 rolled taco plate and reorder it again after I’m done. This is truly one of my biggest ghetto cuisine weaknesses that will never die. I’ve ordered rolled tacos at almost every taqueria in Northern California praying for something similar, and nobody comes even close to the deliciousness of these. It’s actually a strange phenomenon that something apparently so simple can’t be found anywhere else outside the San Diego area. Oh well, maybe it’s a good thing cuz I would definitely be 40 pounds heavier and wouldn’t ever get out and explore anything else.

This is one of those places some would call a hole in the wall I more or less found it to be a place I found along the sidewalk that happens to have a drive-thru! They have a wide variety of combos that come with pretty much anything you want with rice and beans. Of all these marvelous combos I ended up with a beef burrito and a cheese enchilada, the burrito was flavorful and packed with chilis! The enchilada was eh I didn’t like it too much their sauce was terrible but tasted a bit better with some of the salsa they gave me! They have a seating area in between the drive-thru pretty much on the sidewalk with a few tables that we found some drunk individuals who seemed to be enjoying some late night food. I’m not sure if I’d come here again as i just feel something wasn’t right about it but it wasn’t all bad at the same time as I did enjoy part of my meal and my friends seemed to like there’s.

I always come here for breakfast. The morning food is great and cheap. My only problem is it always takes a while. Even when no one is in line. Hopefully that means the food is fresh! Also some workers can be stingy with giving more free salsa. However you can pull right up, never leave your car, and get great cheap breakfast Mexican food.

Nothing fancy hole in the wall sort of deal. Seating is outside, can watch people go by and cars. probably want to take it to go. Price is reasonable — combo meals were only around $ 8, pretty good value. Good burrito with mild salsa and flavorful seasoning. Got the chicken burrito combo, the beans and rice were somewhat dry, so didn’t really have too much of those. The chicken burrito had a good amount of chicken and salsa. Enjoyed it up until the end, where it seems like they doused the burrito in salt! So it was good until the last bite, but overall — a good place to get full on a budget.
