I’ve eaten these pancakes since I was a child, and it is exactly as it was many years ago. With a little patience they are well worth it. The pancakes do take a bit of time to cook. The bread is so moist and chewy, and the custard is perfectly sweet. Every time I bring these home to my roommates, they are gone in a flash. –Hours: Saturday and Sunday from 10AM — 4PM –Cash Only –Don’t mind the grumpy Chinese ladies(they are just complaining about work haha) –Be patient –Buy 5, get 1 free –80 cents per pancake –Flavors: Red bean and Custard –Cart is located at the entrance of the 99 ranch market

Every time I come to 99 Ranch, I am always tempted(and most of the time succumb) by this«Red Bean Lady».(Didn’t even know someone made a Unilocal location for her!) The Red Bean Lady isn’t an actual store front(for anyone reading this) but rather it’s a little metal rolling cart, with a little grandma and her straw hat. I’m not entirely too sure of the hours of this place, but I am assuming it ranges from late morning to early evening.(11 am-6 pm) Usually the location is inside, but due to the complete new look of 99 Ranch, they put her cart outside by the fish fountain(or the main entrance). There are two flavors you can choose from: Red Bean or Custard Pros: –Makes them fresh! You see her using the little mold machines and baking(not exactly what the actual terminology is) them fresh! –Good portion size! Portion size is perfect for a light snack or yummy treat for anyone! –Good price! 65 cents each!(Or maybe it gone up to 75 cents.) Cons: -«Understaffed”/slow. For some reason she is always making red bean ones when everyone wants custard…(or vice versa). Not sure what she is waiting for, but I remember we had to wait in line for 45 minutes. –Inconsistent. Sometimes the filling is perfect, sometimes its too little. Tips/Observations: –Bring cash! They do not take card of any sort. –Buy 5 get 1 free deal all the time! So if you have a large party, get more! It’s super cheap. –You can actually pay at the register inside, bring the receipt outside, and then wait in line to order! Overall, love this place! Just wished there were more people to help or they can try to expand it elsewhere.

It was good … The red bean stand is in front of the Ranch 99 grocery store. I felt like the red bean pastry was a little too thick. I would’ve liked more red bean paste and less pastry. The ones I’ve had in Texas are thinner. It was still good. Who knows what the grocery store people are paying this old lady but I felt sorry for her standing there…

Best red bean ever! Cooked fresh everyday all day long and is always hot when you order it. It is also only $ 0.80 each!

Finally! I’ve been waiting for 99 ranch to bring one of the fine dessert delicacies of china. It’s the Chinese take on pancakes with red bean or cream stuffing. An absolute delight! If you buy 5, you get an extra 1 for free as well!
