Good value for sea food. It won’t hurt the wallet /purse. Bread is very soft and delicious. Shrimps platters are great. They have bottomless shrimp time to time and my boy friend has a great time.

Went as a first timer and left as an advocate! First off, our waitress/bartender Brittney went over the menu on her suggestions and we ordered off that. Biscuits came out and WOW. Finally got to see what the hype was about and it didn’t fail me! Lobster pizza sounded like a good appetizer. Wish there was more lobster, but the thin crust made it just right to my liking. The 4 shrimp dishes for $ 24.99 was worth it! You get a great selection of the choices. The skewers might not sound like a lot but each skewer still had about 8 shrimp! To top it all off, Brittney made us Long Island Iced Tear with a little twist. Switching out Coke for Sprite and adding peach purée and peach schnapps made it one of my new favorite drinks!

What madness led me to review Red Lobster? For complimentary biscuits, maybe? Haha. Well, this is mostly for the courteous and friendly service I received last night for a spontaneous dinner with friends(also to wait out the traffic and flooding streets). I had walked in last night and was greeted so warmly by the host, then he welcomed me to look around for the friends I mentioned meeting there. When I had let him know they weren’t actually in the restaurant yet, he invited me to sit in the waiting area. As more people poured in for dinnertime, I decided it would probably be wise to finally put our name down for a table. Even if a couple of groups had placed their names down before me, the host was understanding and agreed that I had arrived there before any of them so he would put my name ahead of theirs. Sweet! From there, another kind man led me to my table and informed me that he would send my party back to me. Sure enough, my friends arrived shortly after. It helped to have such friendly service at the front, but our server was just as nice. She constantly checked up on us to make sure we were well taken care of, properly served our wine, then packed up our leftovers at the end of the night. Service was superior and there were smiles all around, but I’d still have to rate the food. And of course, being a chain restaurant, I can’t say I’d give their food five stars. It’s mediocre at best, plus their menus are huge and confusing. But it’s cheap and we had a gift card, so can’t complain too much.

Middle of the road chain seafood. Decent but nothing to write home about. They occasionally have good specials on shrimp or lobster. The value may be there if you can’t find a better place.

Date of visit: 10/30/2015 I grew up in San Diego Suburbia, so I’m pretty accustomed to the types of foods served at chain restaurants such as Chili’s or Red Lobster. Sometimes it’s just nice to know exactly what you’re going to get, no matter where you are. As you can tell by my reviews, it’s been a while since I’ve been to a Red Lobster. Years probably, but we were in the Mira Mesa area and I really wanted shrimp scampi with mashed potatoes. While we could have cooked this easily at home, I opted to invite my parents out as well, so we all met up around 6:30. Without a reservation, the wait was about 20 minutes, but luckily my parent’s got there about 10 minutes before us and put our names on the list, so it wasn’t too long of a wait. I wanted something light and sweet to go with my meal, so I opted for a glass of sparkling wine, which was nice to sip on while we waited. Our waitress also brought out the complimentary cheddar biscuits, which were served piping hot and tasted delicious. Cam liked them so much that we got another serving to eat with our meals. Caesar Salad. This was a pretty typical salad. I requested my dressing on the side, and our waitress had no problem with that. Cam requested his dressing tossed with dressing, and it looked like it was a little over dressed. I like being able to control how much dressing is on my salads, so I appreciated the waitress remembering my request. Create Your Own Shrimp Combination with Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, and Steamed Broccoli. Yum! I was really in a shrimp mood and enjoyed everything on my plate. I snagged some mashed potatoes from Cam’s plate and everything tasted really good. The shrimp was a little over cooked, but I didn’t mind too much since the seasoning for both shrimp dishes were on point. I could have used a slightly bigger lemon, but my mom shared her slice with me. By the end of the meal, I was absolutely stuffed. I actually finished most of the food and really enjoyed everything. The ambiance here isn’t the best — it just feels like one of those chain restaurants, but at least it satisfied my craving for shrimp scampi and mashed potatoes.

I have not been to Red Lobster in ages however my hubby and I were running errands yesterday and it was right across the street from us. Now mind you my hubby is allergic to seafood however you know the things you do for love. We were immediately seated and I decided on the create your own for lunch which consisted of shrimp scampi(one of my favorites) and broiled scallops. My husband saw the lobster pizza and asked the hostess if he could have it with fish instead. When she returned she said the chef could make it with chicken or fish(tilapia or cod). He decided to leave it to the chef’s discretion of the type of fish to use. In addition, he asked the hosted to suggest a drink of which she quickly responded the Bahama Mama. Well I must say I was not disappointed, the Bahama Mama was well blended(pretty to look at) and heavy of the liqueur. Next came the fish pizza, oh my this was so good and flavorful. I think I may have eaten half of the pizza. We told the hosted they needed to add this item to the menu for people with allergens. Lastly was my scampi and scallops with a baked potato. I must say I was full and happy with our choices for the day. Red Lobster… I’ll be back!

Came here for the AYCE shrimp for 16.99. It took forever to get us seated and for the initial order to come out. Initial limit for orders is 2 and afterwards its 1 each so don’t expect to come here and order 10 different shrimp orders. In my opinion, the garlic shrimp was the best(least seasoning, least sauce-usage). Service was not that fast but the place was under-staffed like crazy so it was understandable.

***This is a review for the Endless Shrimp*** Restaurant is understaffed. Long wait time to get seated, order food, receive food. Only the grill shrimp is worth mentioning since the other ones are either too oily or too salty. Tip: get the linguini in the last round of orders, so you can get a box and get it togo!

I usually only go here when they have shrimp fest or for whatever promotion. I recently made a reservation for 10 people and we were 3 minutes late. Unfortunately they gave away our table and told us to wait another 15 minutes. I’d expect them to give me at least 5 to 10 minutes before giving my table away. that was disappointing and ridiculous. Plus everyone was hungry… Not cool. The cheddar biscuits are always bomb. I feel like they put too much dressing on their salads. The food is ok. Most items are pricey. Parking can be bad during dinner time.

My first time to Red Lobster! Cheddar biscuit was the best part of the meal. The seafood was okay, I got the huge S seafood platter and it came with 2 sides, lobster tail, shrimps, crab, and more. You can check out the place if you are in the area and are craving some traditional American seafood. Or if you are want to get some hot and fresh biscuits!

Went here on Independence Day with my aunt and my baby and it wasn’t too crowded. We don’t see each other much so we came here after the lovely parade down the blvd. The biscuits are a favorite and they were very warm which gives the illusion that they’re fresh. I got a strawberry smoothie that came with a slightly blackened strawberry on top and whipped cream. I also got tilapia with broccoli and mashed potatoes. They were cooked perfectly. I got a weird vibe from our server like he was trying to be nice but he really hated our guts since my baby was fussing(it was nap time) and I was breastfeeding(covered) throughout the meal. Babies cry, it’s what they do. I don’t go out often to eat because I’m a pretty good cook and honestly, I don’t enjoy eating in a hostile environment.

You might be wondering why I would go to Red Lobster when there are an abundance of fresh local fish places in town. My kids wanted to see the lobster tanks my friends. So lobster tank viewing we went. I ordered wood fired trout from their«light» menu. The fish was well seasoned and the portion was a whole fish. The broccoli was seasoned too, but it happily wasn’t with butter. Sadly, I’m not a fan of their cheddar biscuits anymore like I was when I was younger. Maybe they took out the MSG or maybe I’m getting picker. All of our food was good, hot, and came out quickly. Red Lobster isn’t fine dining, farm to table, or anything else cool, but you know, it’s alright for what it is.

I went here last night for my friend’s birthday. I used to frequent Red Lobster. I stopped going because the food and service went so downhill over the years. I must say that this particular location brought back some good feelings. Red Lobster is as corporate as it comes when it comes to restaurants. The food is basic and prices are inflated. The food at this location was pretty good. I ordered the maple glazed chicken. It was moist, tender & had a great temperature. I enjoyed it. The cheddar biscuits are not nearly as good as I remembered but still passable. The garden salad that I had was made with bagged iceburg lettuce. I hate when restaurants use this for salads but anyways the blueberry vinegarette dressing was really tasty. I just wish it was on better greens. There were a few croutons thrown on top and a couple of cherry tomatoes. One thing I’ll say is that you can order something pretty healthy here. There’s something for everyone. The service was almost as slow as it was on my last 2 visits(La Mesa). We did have a big party so I’ll cut the server some slack. He was friendly & polite as well. I should mention that this location is very spacious & well kept. There is a private room for parties as well. One gripe that I have. This goes to Red Lobster Corp. is for them not to entertain any drink specials is outlandish. Even the swankiest of the swanky have some discounted booze. Step up your game RL. Your price point for your food should allow for a cheap adult drank for a few hours a night. And please use better greens for your salad since your dinner plates range from $ 15 — to nearly $ 40 per plate!

Went here for dinner with some of my girlfriends the other night. It was a Friday & actually pretty busy but we got seated right away. Lobster fest is currently going on so they had a whole extensive portion of menu dedicated lobster loaded items. I ended up ordering the NEW! lobster scampi linguine. It’s linguine in a white wine & garlic scampi sauce LOADED with lobster. Portion of the pasta was not that large but did have a ton of lobster on my plate so that’s a plus. Flavor was a little on the bland side in my taste. Just a basic pasta with what just looked like was a butter sauce. Red lobster in my opinion has never been really high scale in my opinion for significant flavored pastas it’s always just been very basic. I usually end up getting full because their biscuits are sooo good! I know red lobster is very popular for their biscuits so don’t forget to ask for some more before you go so you can take some home! Haha they’re absolutely addicting I always have to stop myself from eating too many before my entrée comes out. Service was at a mere okay for me. Our server took our order. Dropped the food off & came back when we were ready for boxes & our check. She was nice enough to split the bill for us 4 ways which I always appreciate because I know it’s a pain to split & charge multiple cards for one table. I was not too happy when the server came to clear some of our dishes out of the way & puts her hand out & asks us to hand her our plates … In my opinion if a server or bus boy comes to clear our dishes & it’s in perfect comfortable reaching distance they should reach for the dishes & grab it themselves or simply wait until we leave to clear the dishes not ask the customer to hand the empty dishes to the server. Not only did our server do that for once but twice for our dishes. So that bothered me but otherwise just an okay experience as any other nothing spectacular.

I’ve been here so many times for birthdays and just because events. This Red Lobster is located in Mira Mesa. From all the times I’ve eaten here, the service has always been great. The waiters/waitresses have always been nice and provide great service. Especially when we always ask for more cheese bread! The food here is excellent. I usually order anything that has fried shrimp with it. I’ve had the admiral’s feast. It’s a lot of food so I usually have leftovers. I’ve tried the shrimp your way, popcorn and fried shrimp! All delicious! They also have pretty good deals throughout the year during their promotions. I’ve also had the 4-course meal deals. Those are pretty good too because you get more bang for your buck! This place is one of my go to restaurants in Mira Mesa for any occasion. Don’t forget to ask for more cheese bread! You can even ask for some in a bag to go!

This Red Lobster restaurant is located on Mira Mesa Blvd near Kohls across Target. Parking can get busy but there’s a lot of parking in the shopping complex. First off, the biscuits are sooo good and they always refill your basket if you want. For appetizers, my family shared the calamari which was huge. It’s a mix of calamari, broccoli, and bell peppers. My sister and I decided to share the 4 course feast. We got the the Shrimp-and-Scallops Alfredo, clam chowder, Caesar salad and caramel cheesecake. The pasta was really good. It was flavorful but light compared to a regular fettuccini Alfredo. Caesar salad and clam chowder was good. The cheesecake was a bit sweet for me. Red lobster has always been a favorite for me since I was a little girl. The quality has not changed and I’ll keep coming back!

Good sit down seafood restaurant in Mira Mesa. I don’t remember this place not ever being here… which shows that people must keep coming back… too many restaurants and come and gone in Mira Mesa, so to stick around this long they’re doing something right. Favorites are the cheesebread, their pastas and I usually go for a combo. Doesn’t hurt to look at their specials as well. Older location, but they keep updating it, so always a good thing. Gets crowded at dinner time, so take waiting into consideration when going here.

I expected this place to be way better because it is «the red lobster» but it was only decent The lobster was very dry but the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned I came in at 9 so I felt as if I was being rushed to leave Friendly staff for children They have a good deal for a 4 entrée dinner for $ 16.99 the shrimp tomato pasta was not good at all If you wanted a good lobster for half the price I suggest boathouse in harbor island
