Rey is hands down best barber on the Point. Been going to him for about 5 years now and couldn’t be happier. The prices are great and he does straight razor, scissors, fades, tapers and does a great job time and time again. I wouldn’t have anyone else cut my hair. Rey is always very accommodating and the new shop is very clean with seats and and TVs with sports on. Just a great feel for a barber shop. Great new location too with a juice bar next door if you need a snack.

Rey has been my husband’s go-​to barber (and the only barber) in Southern CA that my husband has consistently trusted with his hair. He has been a happy customer for the past six years (including our wedding day!) and when he heard that Rey had opened up a new shop, he sought out and found him. FYI — this is the same Rey that used to be at Rey’s Hair Design across the street. New location, but same awesome service.

Rey is the only person who cuts my hair in San Diego. I’ve been coming to Rey since 2006 and I am always pleased. Most haircuts can take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes, but he is worth the wait. Besides, there are plenty of ways to pass the time with ESPN on 2 TVs, newspapers/​magazines and of course friendly barber shop chatter.
Rey never rushes and treats each customer like a king. He has a great attention to detail and strives for perfection on each cut. I am a regular, so he knows what I want as soon as a sit down. I never have to worry, because the quality of the cut is always the same.

Rey is a cool dude and gives great hair cuts and pays close attention to detail. Definitely a professional at what he does. The shop has a nice home-​y feel to it. Swing by for a friendly, clean cut.

I’ve been getting my cut from Rey since july 2014. The great thing about Rey aside from the great haircuts is he genuinely cares about his clients. He takes his time when he cuts your hair and I have never been disappointed with my haircut. Hands down, Rey is the best barber in Point Loma! For that reason, my 9 yr old son will know how a true barber cuts hair. Also, the atmosphere in the shop is always friendly and comfortable.

This is the same barber, Rey, from the old, Reys Hair Design, barber shop just down the street. He just opened up a brand new barber shop (RJ’s 2) in a great corner location off of Rosecrans & Carleton St. This man is by far, the best barber in town!!! I’ve been going to him now for 8+ years! I wouldn’t go to anyone else! This is friendly sports type atmosphere, he always has ESPNs sportscenter, or a game on and the customers are always friendly and into talking ‘shop’ while you are waiting.
Rey has very fair prices; $ 15.00 for a haircut and $ 8.00 for beards. Ask him for a hot towel & straight razor line up and you’ll walk out feeling like a brand new man!!! He has a very loyal and repeat customer base & can cut any and all types of hair. He will have you looking clean & fresh in no time at all. This is the best cut you will get by far! Go see Rey today!
