Fav beer so far: Evil Dead Red. So this is the oddest brew fest David and I have ever been to! Its like rich kids heard it was popular to have them and tried to have an upscale brew fest. Most of the beer is cheap and not good craft brews. They are also not labeled well. Everyone is dressed to the nines which is fun but this group is younger than normal and the pours are huge so its hard to taste. them all. Having fun but soooo different. Watching the people. through the hotel. windows is pretty entertaining though.

I just went to the Rock Star Beer Festival, rare beer event at bassmnt this last weekend and I had the time of my life. The Stone Smoked Porter with Vanilla Beans was OMG, delicious! I don’t know who the first band was, but I was dancing into my feet hurt. This is the second event I have been to and I am hooked. Keep them coming!

This event was so much fun. Great music from live bands, delicious beers, and a lot of seating to accomodate our group. The lines were slightly crazy but we weren’t in them for long. Some of our favorite beers were: Avery’s Ellie’s Brown Ale, Alesmith’s Evil Dead Red, and Eel River’s Porter. Also, VIP tickets are worth getting for this event. The only gripe I have is that the check-in wasn’t set up when we arrived, which cut into the VIP tasting time. This is definitely something I’d come back to. Cheers!

The lines are a bit ridiculous but the atmosphere is cool and hotel guests are dancing on their balconies. Favorite beer so far is Evil Dead Red.
