Really nice library. There are quite a few homeless people here but it’s no problem. Overall a great place to study except this woman who insisted on playing her music through her phone. It’s a library keep quiet.

Book club has sent me on a tour of SD libraries lately… Wow, what a huge step up this place is from their old location(which I drove by on my way there). The old place was tiny and looked like it was about to be condemned. Now this branch is modern and clean and offers much-needed community space for this neighborhood. There are literally 9 parking spots that aren’t handicapped, so I had to park on the street. Not far, but it was kind of a busy street to cross with no stop sign. I found it a little hard to find my way to the entrance! I’m not stupid, but the first doors you encounter are for the community room and there was an event going on inside so I certainly felt like I was! Once I made it inside, I was impressed with the kids area, which was abuzz with activity. I found my book really fast and was so glad that they had the in-demand title I was hunting for. I can’t say enough about the self-checkout stations. It’s all just so easy and convenient!

Not in the best neighborhood but one of the nicer libraries in San Diego. Parking sucks but that’s not unusual for this city. I like that it’s a newer building and there aren’t any crazy homeless people hanging out outside or at the computers. Nothing against homeless people… I just like being around people who have actually taken a bath/shower(at least in the last 2 days!) The staff is really nice so that’s always a plus. And when I call with a question they actually pick up and TALK to me! When does that ever happen?!
