I have been a returning client since the days of Dr. Lewis Doria. He’s retired, but he selected Drs. Sandris and Tania Bajars as the new owners. Both Drs. Bajars are excellent and professional dentists that will make your experience quite enjoyable.
Today I came in for a deep cleaning, in which my mouth was numb. I honestly don’t like needles but closing your eyes does help. I’m cracking up in my head, «mosquito bites» as Dr. Bajars announces. If he only knew what I was really thinking.
Within an hour, I was already out the door. I’m been a client here for over 35 years and will continue to maintain my Colgate style here. Thanks for the crew for their continuing efforts to bring me in. It’s a plus they are now using text alerts to remind you of your appointment.

I normally get very nervous going to the dentist, but they made me feel very comfortable. I have a great experience everytime and I no longer get nervous because I know they are gonna take good care of me.

I’ve been a patient at this dental office for thirty years partly because it was close to my home and work, and partly because it accepted my dental insurance, so when Dr. Lewis Doria retired, I wasn’t in any hurry to jump ship. I am so glad that I stayed as a client because the practice’s current dentists, Drs. Sandris and Tania Bajars, are phenomenal practitioners.
When the Drs. Bajars took over, the changes made weren’t merely cosmetic: they brought a dinosaur of a dental practice to the cutting edge of modern dentistry!
The building itself is located in south, south South San Diego across from Northgate market with a new illuminated sign. The interior has gone from the avocado and dark brown paneling of the seventies to a bright and modern look of the twenty-​first century. Chairs and sinks have been upgraded to reflect the up-​to-​date skill set of the dentists, too. It is SO NICE to visit a modern practice where the dentists know the latest innovations in dental arts, but still operate in the personal and professional manner of yesteryear.
Other reviewers have noted the plentiful reading material … It’s also current! But you won’t get too far in the magazine when it’s your turn «in the chair.» The staff are friendly, efficient, and very professional … and they take the time to learn your name. But don’t get me wrong … This is in no way an underused practice! The doctors are BUSY and the office runs like a Swiss timepiece! Emergencies don’t fluster them, either.
My doctor is Dr. Sandris Bajars and I rave about his skills to anyone who will listen to me. If you’re afraid of dentistry, you need to meet him. He is a rock star! Gentle? Check! Quietly professional? Check! Caring and concerned? Check! Skilled? Check … in spades!!! He is the calmest person that I have ever met. I have referred my entire family and a number of colleagues … They couldn’t be more delighted with him!
Bajars and Bajars does nearly everything with teeth and dentures in this full service practice. If you call soon, you MIGHT be able to join this burgeoning practice, too. You won’t be sorry … You’ll just be smiling whiter and brighter knowing that your teeth are being cared for by the BEST dental team in San Diego. I can only speak for myself with this review. However I heard from others who visited Dr. Bajars dental office that they also had a great experience. That triggered me to write something in Unilocal to let the Drs. Bajars know that I appreciate the work they do.
Starting from the front desk and waiting room. Very friendly, there are plenty of reading while you wait if you ever need to wait at all.
Their office administrator Leann is always on top your schedule and billing. They are very patient and understanding. They will give you a reminder call a day before your visit.
By far this is best dental practice I ever visited. Drs. Sandris and Tania Bajars runs very smooth and organized practice.
