Sara Giglio, PhD – Insight Psychological Services Center

I can’t say enough about what Dr. Giglio has done for my son, and in doing so for him, our whole family. I needed a psychologist for my 9-​year-​old as he was suffering some crippling anxiety when he started a new school. I was given a list of several options by my EAP program at work and Dr. Giglio was who we decided to go with after speaking with a few different doctors over the phone.
**BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE FOR MY SON**
From the very first meeting, I felt that Dr. Giglio was going to not just help my son, but also help arm us (the parents) with the tools we would need to help him in between sessions and even after the sessions ended. She was supportive of certain ways we reacted to his anxiety and cautionary of others and let us know how it could be perceived by a child with anxiety. After about 4 sessions I could see my son starting to respond to the sessions and he even would check with us to make sure he was going to be able see her each week.
One of the rituals that my son requested every morning when I dropped him off at school was that I ask him how his anxiety level was on a scale of 1 – 10. When he first started seeing Dr. Giglio, they ranged from 10 – 12 and he was extremely emotional every day. It was absolutely exhausting as a parent. Fast forward to today, after about 12 sessions with Dr. Giglio, and his levels are consistently hovering around a 2.
The difference Dr. Giglio has made in my son’s everyday life is astonishing.

I have been seeing Doctor Giglio for 3 years now (2 pregnancies) now and I cannot express how awesome she is. I started seeing her when I found out I was pregnant with my first. She helped me during my pregnancy and after. I sadly got ppd (which I talk very openly about) and without her I don’t even know how I would have gotten through it all. She is so sweet and caring. She allows you to completely express yourself with NO judging at all. I used to go into her office in tears and leave on cloud 9. I have seen so many doctors since I’ve been young and I have never met someone like her. I highly recommend her. Also, during pregnancy and after she’s the one you want to see! Oh forgot to mention, she doesn’t mind if you bring the baby with you. Of course you would want a sitter once your kid becomes a distraction in your session. Well, for me at least.
Hope you consider her while out looking for a therapist. Promise you will be satisfied!

I lost my mother a few years ago and never felt a strong connection with my many attempts to seek out counseling. I knew how important it was for my wellbeing to try again and this is when I found Sara Giglio. She is an absolutely amazing support system that truly listens to what is being said, and even unsaid. At times it really felt like she was reading my mind!
Her patience is what allowed me to open up on my own terms and truly work on things that needed to be addresses, but when o was ready. Her support is something I have not felt in many years but has made me a better woman today. I’ll never be able to thank her enough! She has refreshed my outlook on like and helped my find truest self!
I would/​have recommend any family or friend to seek out Sara or simply anyone who is nervous about embarking on this type of journey. Sara is truly invested in her clients and them getting the most out of what they put in. There is no pressure to do or be anything other than yourself!
