A hidden gem. The food is great. We’re taking home leftovers, and the place is great for kids. We’ll be back!

3 item combo is the closest you’ll get to legal dine and dash sushi. It’s cheap in price. High quality in food content. I love the Asian pear juice. I get a different roll each time. And their fried gyoza is so good, I could eat fifty without even thinking about it. Staff is awesome. The music videos are fun to watch. I go on dates here way too much, but it’s the best go-to when my girlfriend and I want to sush-it-up!

I had been to this spot about a year ago. I didn’t like it the first time so I decided to give it a second chance. We ordered the caterpillar roll, udon noodles, and teriyaki chicken. The roll came out very quick as if they were pre-made. It was cold and tasted like Costco sushi. The udon noodles tasted very bland and the teriyaki chicken was like frozen dinner. What’s more sad is that I ended with a high bill and none of the food was good.

Honestly, this place isn’t anything to rave about but it is decent sushi for a local joint. No complaints about the food. I ordered the Navajo and Snow White(?) and both were really good. Also got a side of miso soup and honey ginger tea. The miso soup was yummy as well. The honey ginger tea was amazing. It was served in a rather large mug which I was really excited about haha. Customer service was great. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The only thing I think they should work on is bringing out food in a more timely manner. Not saying my food came out late or anything but a couple who were seated next to us maybe 10 minutes or so after we were seated, got one of their rolls before I got my rolls which was kinda weird.

It doesn’t knock my socks off, but it’s a comfortable place, the food is decent, and the service is typically good. Prices are very reasonable, and my kids are learning the sushi ropes in a friendly environment with football on 5 tvs.

My son loves this place & now I do too! So far we have been coming back weekly the last three weeks since I found out about this place. It’s not just the great food at a great price, but also for the great costumer service & the cleanliness of the place. This is my BEST shushi place in town!

I like the food and the service is good; however the owner needs to either honor the coupon or take it down from Unilocal. It is false advertisement.

Yes 5 stars it is that tasty and fresh. There is at least 2 sports games on. The AC works very well here. Kid friendly and there is two sofa seats to kick back on if you like to eat that way. The beef bulgogi is good. The monkey stick is very tasty if you like sushi cooked but the other sushi menu items are very fresh and tasty. You will be impressed with the quality which keep me returning.

I love this place. I come here about once a week for the 3 item combo. It comes with miso soup and your choice of sushi/sashimi/non sushi item. My favorites are the Hawaiian roll, sunshine, and Navajo crunch. I would come here every day if I could

So I frequent this sushi place. For the prices and the quality of food it is nice for the area. It’s right off the freeway and right next to fresh and easy so I tend to go eat dinner then do my shopping. They have a couple combo plates that are good if you want to try a little bit of everything. I am in love with the protein roll, Navajo roll, and the lemon cilantro roll. they are all delicious! The sake here is an average selection. And there’s about 4 white wines and 3 red wines to choose from on any given day. I will be honest this place is not some fancy sushi spot and the service can be spotty at times. I always come back because the food is consistent and the price point is great. For the San Carlos area there is not many choices in the way of sushi but I have been a repeat customer of this place ever since it opened.

Great American sushi!!! For ten bucks you can get 12 pieces of signature sushi and some great tasting miso soup… My wife and I always order the Grossmont, Hawaiian, and tiger rolls with the blueberry yogurt soju. One of the better date night spots and it’s only $ 25.

Not sure what happened here, this was one of our go to places in our neighborhood, We ordered our regular food Edamame, gyoza 4 rolls, both my husband and I were happy with the edamame and gyoza, when our rolls came out they were smaller than what we remembered, but figured it was not all about size, we were hoping for some fresh sushi rolls When I first bit the first roll, I had a funny aftertaste But I thought it would go away, we kept on eating and the aftertaste was still there… my husband said the spicy tuna was old, being that he is Japanese, and an avid sushi maker, He knows his stuff, we ended up eating the fish on top of the roll and left the rest, it was one of my most disappointing sushi meals I have ever had Service was good, but I do think they need to stop using an old spicy tuna mixture for their«fresh sushi» Would I come back and try them again? Yes, but next time I will ask if their spicy tuna mixture is freshly made

Our first time eating here. So happy we decided to walk in and try Sei!!! Super friendly servers, great combo options, happy hour all day type menu, and nice décor. Cool seating area for large group w nice leather black couch. Would definitely be back for a snack, lunch, dinner, happy hour, or to celebrate that it’s a Wednesday. Haha Thank you Sei for the great meal. We will be back soon even though I’m pregnant, i can still have sushi once in a while!!! My husband loved the sashimi salad and baked lobster roll!!! I enjoyed the soft shell crab and navajo roll!!!

Good service, good rolls, good prices. There’s a really good deal for I believe about 10 $ where you can get 3 different small portions plus a miso soup. It ranges from specialty rolls, regular rolls, handrolls, salad or tempura.

This is def not my fave sushi spot… from the food quality to the service etiquette. I had about 8 – 10 diff rolls… Some are interesting, but i’m not particularly crazy about any of them. I think the best one was the Snow White. I’d skip the protein roll cuz its like moosh in your mouth. Quality here is just so-so for me. I would skip out on the appys too as they didn’t taste very good either. As for the service, the waiters are indeed nice, but not very efficient. We had to ask for everything like plates and utensils, and even though we had 8 people, they would bring like 6 sets. Food coming out was slow even though the place was near empty. Oh one last thing, theres an 18% tip that gets tacked on if its 6+ people. They won’t mention it, so make sure you look at your receipt before you double tip.
