Been closed for a while Now maybe because of the nice cool hookah joints all up and down the street now to compete with. 5 star reviews look questionable.

Just a question. Did this place close down? The lights are off and it looks shut down.

This place is like a home away from home! The vibe is friendly and welcoming, no drama and a great place to socialize, drink, and enjoy hookah! Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great! It feels like there are three different areas in one lounge! There is the bar area for drinking, fun, and entertainment, the hookah area to relax, drink, smoke, and converse, then the outdoor area to smoke, drink, and relax while people watching and flagging people down to come join the fun! The new management is respectful, friendly, and likes to welcome everyone. He is part of the whole experience! I went two nights in a row and plan on going back next time I visit San Diego! :)

Unprofessional. Would give one star but few good employees saved it.
Reason I’m giving this low rating is mainly because he staff was unprofessional with the way they handled my issue. I ordered two beers and a hookah during happy hour. The bartender told me the total was $ 19 because beers were $ 4 and $ 5 and hookah was $ 10 and so I asked to leave the tab open. We didn’t order anything else so when I closed my tab another bartender told me the total was $ 31. I’m guessing it’s because when I closed out it was after happy hour so the bartender charged me full price. I told him the other bartender had said $ 19 was total but he argued no. That the hookah itself is $ 19. But the hookah at normal price is $ 16. I was in a hurry so I couldn’t dispute it.
Another thing is the hookah was horrible. I’ve hookahed for 5 years and 15 minutes into smoking the shisha already tasted harsh and the smoke was really thin. I was skeptic so I opened the foil and he shisha had been completely burned and the holes on the foil caked on with burnt shisha. When I asked for it to be refoiled the hookah employee scolded me to not open the foil again.
Reason I’m not giving one star is because there was a nice female employee constantly asking if we were okay or if we needed more drinks. Also the Asian bouncer out front was a great vibe and very welcoming.
**this place is under construction I believe so the place had no AC and just looked very run down. REALLY HOT. No airflow.

Change your hours listed on every website. That’s bullshit if you site says ou are open at 11, people expect you to be open at 11

Great place to stop before heading out to other bars… New owner/​mgmt was great… He came out and mingle with the crowd… Good to see someone as dedicated as he was last night… Made the place more welcoming… Will definitely come back!

Obsessed! Owner Steve and bartender Hector, amazing! They are currently remodeling but it’s amazing service, great prices and an awesome time. Definitely recommend it. Let me tell ya, it will get big! Thanks for everything guys, you guys are awesome!

Rick James Nash is awesome! So helpful with a bunch of options. He really knows his stuff. Cat is so amazing and kind — definitely get the Ocean Breeze! Cat’s recommendation and it’s bomb. Awesome place with a wonderful happy hour! Go go go!

I visited Sinbad today and had an amazing experience with my friend! Hector the bartender got our orders perfect and Rickjames was an amazing host! Ask for the bubbles! The music rocked and the hookah was great! I definitely recommend this place for everyone!

The employees here are so nice! Our hookah was great, pineapple! Fyi, we had great beers, and quiet atmosphere to talk. The only issue is the outdated décor and uncomfortable seats. I would suggest anyone visit this place to have hookah and drinks. They do close based on occupancy, he warned us up front that if it is slow he may close at 12am instead of 1am. Decent draft choices and a good bottle choice. The tangerine beer is great!

Horrible service. Crappy atmosphere. I can’t say anything positive about this place. After being held up by the bouncer it took a few min. To get menus and be told to be seated. The waitress was obviously stupid and high. When asked if we where ready to order we asked for a recommendation for the «fruit tops» which we could pair with the flavor. She had to bring the manager to recommend is something. They dropped off the check before we could order any drinks. The flavor was fine until the coals got cold which after asking 3 times to get new coals they just left the mound of ashes and placed the coals on top which made all the ashes drop into the smoke.

This was the worst costumer service I have every experience in my life. DO not and I repeat do not come here at all! I will never step foot in this place again!

We have been to Sinbad’s many times over the years. We went on Friday 6 – 19 during happy hour and were greeted by a nice guy who told us that he was the new owner. He handed us green happy hour special menu that stated draft beers were $ 3 (even though the wall said $ 2.50) and appetizers were also $ 3. We had a some beer and ordered potato skins and hummas (all from the $ 3 green menu). When we got the bill we were amazed to see that we were overcharged for EVERY single item. Those $ 3 potato skins were close to $ 7 and the beer that was listed for $ 3 was almost $ 5 per beer. It is a shame that they felt the need to steal and overcharge us. In the long run they just lost customers over the deal.

I ordered their 5 taco and beer special for $ 6 and it was horrid. I ordered a Stella as my beer and either its really, REALLY old Stella or they didn’t give me Stella because it did not taste right at all. Their tacos were bland and unsatisfying and their salsa did not complement the tacos in any way. On a side note, my girl friend went into their bathroom and said that the doors on the stalls were completely broken and she had to set the door back on the hinges just to close it. Besides that, the place just looks terrible. Obviously poorly maintained. Never coming back, stay away. Oh, and the owner was very overly aggressive and unwelcoming. Desperate for business… Wish I could give zero stars.

Its ok. I like how you can have fruits on your hookah to enhance the flavor. They have watermelon, mango, pineapple, apple, and lemon. I have personally tried the mango and pineapple. They monitor your coals. And the hookahs seems to be in decent condition. The bar as a whole however is very run down looking. The couches are torn. Floor is cracked. They definitely need to spruce this place up a bit. Customer service is good. We ordered Stella on tap (3 $) for happy hour. It tasted funky… bitter. he gladly traded our beers for another one which was nice. I have never tasted their food, but the hookahs are pretty good.

The worst hookah experience ever! With the exception of their new hostess from Ireland, the customer service was horrible. The servers were inattentive. We stayed less than an hour and paid a $ 100 tab for a hookah that wasn’t properly packed or lit, cold appetizers, and roaches crawling on our table. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you’re in the area looking for a hookah lounge, don’t come here. There are others on the same block.

Place sucked made one of our friends drink his beer inside as no alcohol outside. Hookah equipment sucked. Hookah sucked. My vape pen makes more smoke then this.

I can’t stop coming back.
This is as good as it gets, in terms of happy hour prices. Keep in mind that I am a happy hour queen and am constantly on the hunt for the best happy hours.
Where else can you get a guinness/​sculpin/​stone for $ 2.50?!? IT’S AMAZING.
I forgot his name, but the guy who always works at the bar makes the best $ 1 tequila shots and some of the yummy well drinks on the menu. I think those will set you back about $ 3.
Keep in mind, that my judgement on the food is also based on it’s price and the fact that this place is a hookah place, and not a bar/​restaurant. Grain of salt, people.
Snacks/​apps i’ve tried ($ 4.50 during HH):
— WINGS! My favorite here. They are big, juicy, and saucy! Comes with carrots and celery. Not the best wings you’ve ever had but I really enjoy them and always share them with a friend. I tend to like soft and saucy wings so these are right up my alley.
— CHEESE FRIES! Oh my gooodness, we always get hooked up on these babies. We request all the sauces, and the cheese is melty on some pretty good fries.
— Popcorn chicken — eh, it’s a large portion but we didn’t really finish it. If you like breading, you’ll like this :)

Oh, most importantly. The hookah is enjoyable, add ice to it and it’ll hit really well. I’ve always done this so I don’t know how it’ll be without adding ice.
My favorite standard hookah flavor is candilicious. Hehe it seriously tastes like candy. Mix mint with it for some refreshing sweetness. Anyways the standard hookah during HH is $ 12.75 which is SUCH a deal. Anyways i’m done gushing.
P. S. The jukebox has amaaazing song selection. Bumped Armin van buuren’s old tracks. sooo good.
