So Cal Hair Extensions

Rebecca does an absolutely fantastic job on my hair. She is professional, friendly, knowledgable and detail oriented. She definitely has me as a repeat customer as it would be hard to find the quality of her work anywhere else. My hair now does not stress me out everyday!

My first set of extensions was removed mid-​January by a GL stylist on the East Coast. She was amazed
1) that I «had» extensions — they looked so natural
2) at the color match — She asked how my first stylist had done it and wanted her phone number
3) that I had lost none of the extensions
4) that I had no bald spots or areas of breakage
5) I had no «dreadlocks,» tangling. (No discomfort during the 15 – 20 minute removal, either.)
I think this says volumes about Rebecca Nan’s artistry and workmanship!
I went ahead and had the East Coast stylist insert new GL (1 bundle again) as I was unable to travel to the West Coast to see Rebecca Nan. Bad decision. The stylist was very nice, and her insertions were gentle; but
1) the look was «blah.» The extensions were all the same color — a reddish-​brown, which may have matched my ends, but definitely became noticeable from shoulders on up.
2) The ends were not trimmed, and I was left with a lot of very uneven ragged ends — my own hair being (thin, yes, but visible) 2−3″ longer at points. (Rebecca trims and styles).
3) The appointment cost me at least $ 180 more, not counting the significant tip — which I base as a % of the total. (I had asked for the price before having her do my hair, but I didn’t realize that there would be an insertion fee. Rebecca’s price IS the price. No additional insertion fee or shipping charge plus a GL brush given to me free.)
4) In less than a month, I have lost 1 extension.
It’s odd, but this hair will not hold a curl and seems much finer than Rebecca’s ?? I do believe she inserted GL extensions, though.
Summary: Rebecca Nan is an artist. No one in my family knew that I had gotten extensions, but everyone noticed how «healthy» and pretty my hair had become. Unfortunately, my new ones received unwanted attention: (
Both stylists are certified by GL, I understand. Both are nice. Had I gone to the one on the East Coast, I would never have had a second set installed. I simply cannot afford to have not-​that-​great-​hair at that price. However, Rebecca Nan — as well as being affordable, willing to work within your budget — has a rare gift and is not only a stylist, but an artist!

I spent a lot of money to get hair extensions and when I wanted to maintain after many many repeated phone calls, she never called back. Poor customer service — not worth the money!

This is amazing, and many of you probably won’t believe this. I started out with 7 bundles of hair in 2010, and gradually had fewer extensions put in each time as my own hair was growing out. Today, after wearing only 1 bundle for the last few months, I had Rebecca remove my extensions and not put any more in. And my hair is the healthiest AND THICKEST it has ever been! The quality of the Great Lengths extensions, plus Rebecca’s expertise allowed my hair to heal and grow back with increased volume and healthy length. I can’t believe that this is all my own hair. Truly a miracle. So since I wasn’t getting any extensions put in today, Rebecca just colored and trimmed, and it still looks amazing. She is by far the best hair stylist I have ever had, and I can’t believe I found her! Look no further, just call and schedule today!

I am a hairdresser who doesn’t do hair extensions. I send all my clients who want extensions to Rebecca as she is the ultimate perfectionist. I know that her committment to exceptional customer service and extraordinary results is beyond compare. She has spent 20 years finding the best hair, the best companies to by from, the best quality, the longest lasting, the least tangling… I could go on and on. When a client comes to me who has extensions and they’re not good I call Rebecca and ask her. She is always available to answer questions and has a mindblowing amount of knowledge about each and every detail. She had helped me with many clients even when she never got a penny for it. I respect her knowledge and skill in the hair extension arena above anyone else.
I have (and love) short hair, so I don’t get hair extensions, but Rebecca colors my hair in a foiled bleach blonde highlight for me and is the only person who has ever done my color where I am blonde enough, don’t have instant roots and never have bleed age. She is an excellent colorist, and although this site is not about her color skills I can’t help but put it out there that for over a decade (maybe 2 decades but I don’t want to show our age!) she has done amazing color.
All she wants is to be the best and to make her clients happy. She’d spend $ 5,000 to learn something for a client that would pay her $ 1800. She cares that much about doing a great job and being the best. God bless people like that, the world could use a few more.
I’m so grateful to have her doing my color because there are so few good colorists in San Diego. I am a colorist so I was foiling my own hair (which is a pain in the a@#). So much better to have someone to do it for me who is the consummate professional and always does a great job.
I’ve never publicly recommended another stylist before but I can honestly say that for hair extensions and especially with highlights or color on top of the extensions, there is no one better.

Rebecca did an amazing job on my cut and highlight. I have really long and thick hair and I am super picky, but she really listened to what I wanted and I love the way my hair turned out. The salon is very classy and very relaxing as well. Well worth the money I spent.

I only wish I had found Rebecca Franks, Great Lengths, and SoCal Hair Extensions sooner! I have always had thin, fragile, can’t-grow-it-any-longer hair… So I finally decided to check out extensions. Love them! Never going back! I have had GreatLengths (only 2’ish bundles) 2x now, and they are marvelous! I get tons of compliments. I almost never have a bad hair day — cause even on days I don’t wash my hair, my ponytail is soooo much better! They are very low maintenance (no more visits to the salon than my normal highlight appts), last for months and months (I’ve never had a Great Lengths piece come out on accident), and don’t adversely impact my life (ie. don’t affect my sleep, my swimming, or working out). Just love them! Rebecca really knows what she is doing! Some of my friends claimed that they would be able to spot extensions for sure — they had no idea that I had extensions added… other than they couldn’t figure out why I had perfect long, thick hair all of a sudden. Love, love, love Rebecca and her hair skills!

I am having so much fun with my extensions. Rebecca Franks at So Cal Hair Extensions used a wonderful new system on my hair and it is fabulous! I get so many compliments on my beautiful long hair. No one can tell they are extensions. The comment I hear the most, «Wow, your hair has grown so long!» I just smile and say, «YES, it has!» I have always had fine, thin hair that never holds much of a style for more than 10 minutes. With my So Cal extensions, I can do so much more with styling and I have more choices too. Rebecca is a pro and such a sweetheart. I LOVE my hair!

I live in Los Angeles and have worked in Entertainment for over 15 years (actually personally assisting a «Diva» for the last 7), basically my point is that I have a lot of resources at my fingertips here in Los Angeles and all over the world as «the diva» my employer constantly travels and does many appearances. Rebecca is simply the best. Hands down, I travel from Los Angeles to San Diego to have her do my extensions. She is so good it’s crazy. I always wanted to have thick blond hair, a la California surfer girl chick– and natural looking! not fake bimbo extensions. And she did it. I met her at an event at the Roosevelt in a dark bar for 5 minutes. My friend said she should do my extensions, I wondered how seeing me for 5 minutes in a dark crowded bar she could match my hair, my friend who is a singer/​performer said just trust me, I went to her and she did it, she used different colors and now I am hooked. The hair makes such a difference, because you can go out of the house, not feel great and your hair is always fantastic, it’s such a self-​esteem booster! I love this amzingly talented woman!!! (My employer also flys her to locations to do hers)
