Subway

This subway is never busy the staff is nice and it’s pretty clean inside. They kick out the homeless people so that’s kinda good if you want to sit inside and eat loll.

Great Subway in this location, employees are very friendly and they have excellent customer service i eat here everyday thanks guys

Idk why people say negative things about this store. Their service is amazing!

Good deals, good prices. Gets very busy. Strong Pinoy culture. Auto zone close by. Off of Woodman.

First Off I’ve worked at subway for 3yrs and my boyfriend is a district manager for subway so I’m pretty sure I know a thing or two about it
One its not a hard job to do
Two if your having a bad day don’t show the customers you are

The customer service is always awesome but the bread here always sucks! Everything else is decent considering its a subway!

One things that annoys me is when you order something, then pay for, and then you find out that they do not even have the item you ordered. This happen to me when I ordered the turkey, bacon, avocado combo with Sun Chips and iced tea (
).
You see when I went to pour my iced tea, there was non to be had. When I told the lady behind the counter she acted initially disinterested, until I reminded here I paid for the combo meal and that I did not drink soda, and I wanted iced tea. So she made a new batch, but it took about 15 minutes, and by the time it was ready, I had already finished my sandwich and Sun Chips. To make matter worse, the sandwich was not very good to begin with.
I had the turkey, bacon, provolone, and avocado sandwich which just simply needed more turkey, provolone bacon. I mean a few slices of turkey, one slice of bacon and a slice of provolone just did not cut it for me (
). The honey oat bread was good and so were all the greens such as the spinach, tomatoes, onions, and peppers (
).
Overall kinda of a bummer visit since I was not able to have my iced tea with my sandwich that was just okay. I did drink my ice tea on my way home.

So, I’m a regular here. Me and my boyfriend use to come alot, but I’ve had a couple of issues with this place. But when I have I’ve always talked to the manager Kristine about it. She’s so nice, helpful, and does her job good. My first issue was with one of the employees giving me an attitude when just because I could barely hear her. and i said what was that im sorry? and she kept giving me a stare the whole time throughout making my sandwich. So, it wasn’t my fault but she didnt need to be like that. And when I asked for the managers name she asked why then when I explained I wanted to talk to her cause I felt she was giving me an attitude she said no I wasnt. After all that then she finally gave me the name. I later called Kristine and told her everything she offered us a sandwich and apologized and said she’d talk to her. Second time I guess my boyfriend had gone there with his sister and when he orders a sandwich we add add lot, but the same girl was taking his order and started giving him an attitude and started talking in tagalog to her other employee. When my bf looked at the emplyee she was talking to he looked away… third time was today (yesterday)!!! the manager or whatever she is… all i know her name is becky… she’s given me a little attitude last week when I came in, but I let it go. but I figured she’s having a bad day but I ordered this time cause i needed something quick and I don’t like fast food or taco shops. I was finishing my sandwich with my bf but before I got done with it I noticed there was a hair in my bread!!! It was toasted in the bread so I told my bf and he told me to show them… I showed becky and she just gave me a look and an attitude like I had set it up! I was soo astonished. she didn’t even apologize for the hair in my sandwich!?! Like really? You really think I’d stoop that low??? I showed you that it was stuck in the bread!!! She was soo rude about it and kept saying to the employee make her a kid size! JUST GIVE HERA KID SIZE… SHE KEPT REPEATING IT! LIKE FIRST OFF LADY… I COULD’VE GOT A REFUND… BUT W. E I WAS HUNGRY AND THIS WAS WAS MY FIRST MEAL OF THE DAY PLUS I BREASTFEED MY SON SO I GOT TO EAT! IF I KNEW I’D GET THIS REACTION I WOULDNT HAVE BOTHERED AND JUST GOT AN FULL REFUND… LIKE HOW DARE YOU?! Then the other employee kept offering to give us a full sandwich. He even said sorry, but she was like JUST GIVE HER HERE SIX INCH. HONESTLY, I DIDNT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE BUT HOW SHE REACTED/​HOW SHE HANDLED THE SITUATION! I NEVER WANNA COME BACK HERE AFTER THAT! FOR FOR A MANGER SHES HORRIBLE… THEN THEY GOT MY RECEIPT AND VOIDED IT. IDK WHY BUT SHE HAD TO ASK THE OTHER EMPLOYEE HOW TO VOID IT. LIKE LAST HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW? YOU SHOULD KNOW IF YOUR ONE OF THE HIGH HEADS? I’ve worked for Starbucks for 3 years and the way their employees treat me well Becky and Mary was terrible. I mean, Mary is is fine now thanks to Kristine… but Becky, idk… First off you should always apologize, second don’t give an attitude, third don’t speak in another language IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS ITS RUDE AND SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE TALKING CRAP, fourth don’t don’t make assumptions and treat your customers that way, FIFTH YOU ARE A MANGER MANGER FOR CHRIST SAKES DO YOUR JOB RIGHT! Every other employee has done a swell job + EVEN Mary now even if she rubbed off me the wrong way. it’s just sad cause I’m not going back ever again! MAYBE MY BF can, but I don’t even want him there. The one by Walmart in Chula vista does an amazing job with service and the sandwiches. No offense to everyone else here, but cmon now! You can’t blame me. It’s more about quality not quantity. I care more about how employees treat everyone and I know I’m not the first!!!

Yummmmmmmy sandwiches. I can’t remember a time when I haven’t eaten a subway sandwich. Even when we were deployed overseas, the mess specialists were always coming up with something new. Powdered eggs only go so far.

I always come to this subway! I Love subway!
The girls in the daytime are particularly catty. Or maybe me feeling uncomfortable cause they’re talking in their own language while I wait for my sandwich being made. I feel like they’re talking shit! I mean, all i wanted was some extra avocado. dont have to talk about me lmao.
At night after the gym theres usually a sweet Mexican girl working with glasses. She always makes my sandwiches so neat and asks how my day which always makes things less awkward. I feel bad I dont know her name. She also remember to tell me the low down on all the promotions like last months $ 5 & yesterday buy one get one free deals! The main I’m writing this review if for her outstanding customer service!
There were no feed back cards so id thought id give her a shout out here!
I also noticed that sometimes they dont change their gloves. Ive had to ask numerous time for them to change their gloves.
2 stars for effort and an extra for girl with the glasses

The evening staff is great! Upbeat and friendly. Great service and sandwiches.

Not really that different from other Subways. Employees are really nice and they move pretty quick regardless if there is a line or not. The dine in area was pretty small but i don’t really mind since i only order take out.

Like any other Subway out there. If I’m craving their subs, usually just come here since it’s just down the street from my house. Same menu and prices. Kinda small inside so I always just take it to go. Enough parking spaces. To me, this area isn’t as scary as other people describe it to be. Maybe since I’m used to this neighborhood.

If you’re not from Paradise Hills (PH) or National City, then you probably won’t feel comfortable in the parking lot outside Subway. I grew up around here so this is the hood. And no it’s not ghetto as some understand ghetto.
I only come here for cookies. They’re a waste of money, but I buy them anyway. If you want to know if their sandwiches are any different from other Subway restaurants, they’re not.

The drunks hanging around the liquor store nearby make me clutch my wallet and keys a little closer to my body, but other than that there’s nothing wrong with this Subway.
I’m always greeted whenever I come in, the food is consistent with all other Subways that I’ve been to (not crave-​worthy food), and the employees are fairly friendly. The line may get a little long sometimes during the lunch/​dinner rush or when Bell Junior High students get out, but I’m usually in and out within 5 – 10 minutes.
Try the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. The best I’ve ever had!
