So much FUN. We did the ebike tour with Jake. It was fabulous. We really enjoyed the e-​bikes, had never used them before. And of course the scenery was great! You can’t do a lot of talking when youre riding, especially on Fiesta Island, where we could really go fast, but we stopped a few times for pictures and just seeing where we were. It was a lot of FUN. Which is what we wanted.

Went in there looking for some Ram mounts so I can mount my cell phone to my scooter. Kalin was super awesome in assisting me in getting everything I need to make sure its gonna be the right fit. Also was looking for a cup holder and there is a pretty great selection of mounts and cup holders!
Transaction went by smooth and I was in and out with some new knowledge and the correct products I needed! Will definitely be back again when I need more Ram Mounts!

We found Surf Monkey by chance after leaving a shop up the road that did not treat us like they wanted our business… or like they wanted us on the same planet. Kalin was friendly and knows his stuff. He was not pushy at all and they have a nice price range from low to high to make sure they have something for everyone and they are very competitive with pricing even from what I found online. We ended up with two 3G Venice beach cruisers (one in vanilla with the «Gucci» rims and one army green with ape hanger bars). He took the time to adjust our seats and fit us for the bikes as well. The bikes come with a one year maintenance plan and warranty. We live in Oceanside but will make the drive to visit Kalin and the boys at Surf Monkey from now on. Plus… they are called, «Surf Monkey»!

These guys are 3 for 3. Gave my hybrid a great tune up about 6 months ago after it sat for 5 years. Second time they replaced my shredded back tube in minutes after it wrapped itself around the gears. Right now, new front tube in no time at all. Thanks guys

This place is super clutch! My bike broke a couple streets down and needed a quick fix! They took my bike in without delay and hustled to get me back out in that sunshine. I would highly recommend this place if you like people that hustle and who are extremely helpful!

Honestly I am a complete poser when it comes to my road bike. I’ve got all the fancy schmancy gear yet I really have no idea what I am doing. A few months ago I needed a new tube and brought my bike in hoping they could work on road bikes — they do and the tech Kalin was beyond helpful. The shop was slow when I stopped in so he got my bike up and running in a matter of minutes. Then a few months ago I wiped out and my bike has spent its days hanging in my apartment needing some adjustments. I finally rolled it on over to Surf Monkey again and Kalin adjusted my rear brake, my gear shifts, and I got the handlebars re-​wrapped. I then mentioned to him that I was having issues with my bike rack. I live just around the corner so he told me to bring my car over and he would help me figure it out. Blown away. Amazing customer service, great genuine advice for a newbie road cyclist, and fantastic prices. I’ll keep coming back.

Over $ 70 for a bike tune up?! You’ve got to be kidding me! Not to mention the price was not mentioned when dropping my bike off, so I was shocked when I went to pick it up. Granted, I have to accept some responsibility for not asking, but other people I know had gotten tune ups there and paid $ 30…turns out if there are gears on your bike it’s A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE! Had I known that I would have probably just bought a new bike since I didn’t pay much more than that for my bike brand new!

My Boyfriend and I rented the pedego bikes. We rode really far and stopped in mission beach for a snack. The guys at the shop were really nice and it was only $ 32 for the whole day,

I can’t believe anybody else can rent bikes with these guys in town. Great service and all their bikes are in great shape. They almost look new. No wonder because they told us they wash them at least once a week. They really care about their business and providing great service. The price was very reasonable too. They started at $ 18 a day … for the whole day! Not just 3 or 4 hours like the rest. They are off the beach but not very far. Check them out if you really want a great experience.

This place is great! Prices are awesome and the employees are helpful and knowledgable! We rented the Pedego bikes and they kicked ass. We blasted up hills like a boss all day with ease. Covered about 30 miles total and still had a charge. Overall our experanice was wonderful and we will be back! Super friendly people running this place.

I went here because of the Unilocal ratings and they were really great. They tuned up 2 of my bikes and replaced the tires within 3 hours, and then they checked out a 3rd bike, adjusted the brakes and made some other minor adjustments for free. Parking wasn’t a problem because they have a driveway in front as well as some parking in back.

Great store. They fixed my bike right away and proposed to me all the cheapest components (which was what I wanted) and had me riding again in about 15 minutes. I took full advantage of the free holiday chocolates at the register during the servicing (I think they were free…)!
