This place is just okay. I wouldn’t come here if you’re looking for a new sushi spot… Try the place to see for yourself. Other items on the menu that I enjoyed was the salmon dish, salmon was cooked really well and loved the flavor of it all. I love salad from a sushi resturaunt but not a fan of the ginger taste, I wish I asked for the dressing on the side. Yakisoba was really really good! I got green tea also and by the time I got it, it wasn’t cold anymore. I will say that their miso soup is AMAZING! the best miso soup I’ve actually ever had and I’m not really into miso soup lol!

Wow, I’ve been living less than a mile from this place and drive past it all the time and it has some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! Very fresh, perfect temperature and texture of the fish. This is a serious top 5 in so cal sushi place for me.

I love these little hole in the wall places. Quality of food was really up to par. Went here for Valentine’s Day dinner with my girlfriend. Sushi was good and the fish was fresh. I enjoyed some shrimp yakisoba and green mussels.

I go here at least once a week. It’s one of those tucked away sushi joints that is well worth the experience. I always get the sashimi & roll combo: Bowl of miso soup 4 pieces of sashimi(tuna, salmon, yellow tail and shrimp) 1 roll(rainbow, spider, crispy shrimp or salmon) Usually around $ 16 José the sushi chef is a great guy and always takes the time to share a few words about your week. Go. Now!

Great sushi, Great service, Too bad they have to share a parking lot with the crappy burger place next door.

I can tell why this place was so crowded — it is REALLy tasty with good quality sushi. But service leaves something to be desired. I got there at 4:30 and was the third person in the restaurant. About half an hour later the place was nearly filled. It’s not their fault that people came in so quickly and close together, but there just didn’t seem to be enough staff to keep up. Food and drink refill service was very disjointed and sparse. Honestly though — the food was so amazing though and I will definitely be back!

I usually don’t review on Unilocal but I wanted to voice my opinion. We came for happy hour and waited for seats because the tables were busy. So we had time to look at the menu. By the time we got seated, it was 5 minutes before happy hour end s. No idea who our waiter is and it takes over ten minutes until our waitress shows up. They then won’t allow us happy hour blaming it on us not knowing the system locks them out unless we flag then down to input the order before 530. No customer satisfaction, and they definitely were not friendly. They don’t care for customer appreciation either. Don’t go here if you’re looking for friendly. There’s plenty of other good sushi place around.

I love sushi and the rolls here is okay. I had the fish attack special and it’s a bit too much flavor. I love raw sushi and their ikura was too cold n taste old.

Ate here out of convenience to where I was at the time. Not too memorable although they did give us a free appetizer. I think it was a deep fried shrimp cake. Not bad!

Very cool little Susi bar with a «local» feel. Have driven by several times, and finally stopped in before going to the movies nearby. Loved the complimentary edamame, and that they use real crab. Tried the yellowtail w/ponzu and jalepenos, which was excellent, and the salmon roll w/lemon. Everything was fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. Totally recommend!

This is one of the places I’m a regular at. They have good rolls and quality fish. They also give you edamame which is nice while you’re waiting for your food. Sometimes even a free deep fried thing that is really good. The staff is also very nice, without exception.

Sushi Fish Attack is my go to sushi place in San Diego. I’ve been here several times and have always had an excellent meal. Friends and coworkers from out of town feel the same about the food after coming here as well. The Fish Attack Special and Sushi Pizza are always automatic orders for me.

Hands down, my favorite sushi restaurant in San Diego! What really sets them apart from other sushi restaurants is that they use real crab filling inside their rolls and it’s melt-in-your-mouth delish! If you can catch them during their happy hour time from 4:30 — 5:30pm, their prices are outstanding. My favorite roll is the super salmon for only $ 7.50 during HH. Sooooo good! My hubs and I come here once a week. We love the food and the service is great. Kathryn is our favorite server. We never had to wait for a table, and get seated right away. They have a small patio area outside or inside seating. Parking has never been an issue either(and it’s free).

The food was great, I had the holiday roll but there were some key things that ruined my experience. First was that the real crab mix is a SCAM, its a mix between real and imitation crab. Secondly, I was not told about the $ 2 addition when asking for only real crab in my holiday roll. I happen to have a red dye allergy so I am unable to eat imitation crab. This turned a very delicious $ 12.95 roll into a $ 14.95 roll which is ridiculous. It may be in my neighborhood but I would rather go eat sushi for a reasonable price in kearney mesa at Sushi Deli or Kula Revolving Sushi.

We have found our new favourite sushi place. Such an intimate cozy place, ideal for small group dine in. The place is well set up so it doesn’t feel cramping sitting inside. I am a very boring person when it comes to sushi. The only thing I order are always a hand roll of raw salmon and avocado plus a bow of miso soup. And because of that, I can compare distintively the flavor from each place and I must say, this place has the best fresh ingredients so far. Unfortunately the miso soup is a bit too salty(probably just me). To make up for that they have complimentary Edamame green bean. This is the second time we are here this week. We were here 2 days ago with a couple of friends and they love it too. We have to come back because I love the taste so much that I guess I have a new addiction. The only downside of this place is when my friends ordered a dessert which I believe it was Samanco Fish, it came out to be the fish ice cream that you can easily buy from Ranch 99 supermarket. So if you expect a chef made dessert dish then this one is not for you. Both time we came the place was super busy but the girls here are amazingly nice. They will definitely see us often.

My friend posted a photo of herself wearing a chef outfit and mentioned that she works here now, so I decided to come visit her when our office decided to get lunch. There is a small patio with a few tables in front, so we chose a bench to sit in. No one was dining inside when we got there, but a few couples ended up here later on… They have a few lunch specials that included rolls and bento boxes, but we wanted the specialty rolls. We shared the Fish Attack special roll, Mango Mango, and Ex-Girlfriend rolls. I loved all the sushi rolls we tried! They were unique, fresh, and had bold flavors. Service was really great and we missed my friend since she wasn’t working until later on. Our server brought out complimentary edamame when we first arrived and a small tempura roll on the house later on. We also got 3 complimentary green tea ice creams since we were celebrating August birthdays!

A new favorite sushi spot! I love how they use real crab in their rolls! Makes a difference from the imitation crab most places use in their rolls. Their nigiri is well worth it because the fish is so fresh and flavorful. Every time my husband and I came here for dinner on a Friday we had to wait, but usually it was no longer than 15 – 30 minutes. The staff was great and even offered water to us while we waited to be seated. We sat at the sushi bar each time and they offered us complimentary appetizers while we waited for our sushi. Every time we leave the restaurant, one of the sushi chefs says«see you tomorrow.» I laugh, but really I’m tempted to come back the next day because the food was so good!

This place is a hidden gem. My friend and I went here for a little lunch date around 12:00 and it was open seating. We were served edamame immediately on the house. & the attractive server(i swear he walked out of a vogue magazine & was so polite probably My favorite sushi server within all of SD) was so patient with us. I havent seen my friend in years & we were chatter boxes the whole time we were there. Out of 5. Food :5 Service:5 Location: 4.5 Bill:5 To make things simple. I would definitely come back here.
