This restaurant would receive a 5 star for food. It is fresh plentiful and delicious. The reason for a four-star is within an hour and a half of eating lunch, we were approached three times by people asking for handouts. Donation for a health issue, a donation for the deaf, and a donation for homeless project. we wanted to visit and not be asked for money. I was surprised the management allowed them inside.

Excellent service, short wait, and good food. I spoke with 2 waitresses and both of them spoke English very well. This place was packed full of locals when I stopped for lunch on a recent Friday. Prices are reasonable.

Well, if you don’t know Spanish, Good Luck. I’ve been to this place twice now. If you know Spanish, no problemo. If you only know English it will be a challenge to find a waitress who speaks it. Some understand it roughly, and speak it very broken. I asked for a spoon and they had no clue of what I was talking about. To their credit, they do understand what«napkin» means. The Food: well its typical west Texas TeX Mex food. Lots of grease, fat, cheese and salt. My latest experience there was not good. I ordered a plain Jane cheeseburger. They brought it out with meat(salty tasting I might add) and cheese. No tomatoes, no lettuce and no pickles, nothing. Just dry. They did bring me mayo and mustard packets. I asked about that and they could not understand what I was talking about… I don’t know to say, after all it is San Diego, Tx… There aren’t much choices for Mexican food there. Just go to Alice, there are more choices there. If not, there is a Dairy Queen nearby.
