As a vegetarian I could enjoy fried onions and french fries only but they were great… don’t forget to ask for a ranch.

I’m not a fan of burgers but I think I’ve found my new place to go when I’m craving a juicy burger. The fries were good too(you get alot). Very impressed!

I come here quite often being a student who goes to State, and the food is great! But what really makes or breaks my decision here is the fact that the customer service is actually terrible. Every time I go there the girls at the front counter give me the most judgmental looks and it doesn’t make me feel good about going there. They have rolled their eyes at me for simply ordering something with no tomatoes and just make it seem like it’s such a hassle. For this reason me and the friends I used to being here will not be coming to this Habit any longer and you have lost us as loyal customers.

The burgers here are charbroiled to perfection. The fries are crisp and golden. Pepsi products only but a good variety. They serve salads too for the more health conscious, and shakes for the less health conscious.

It’s ****ing hot in San Diego. A $ 1 ice cream cone really is a lifesaving measure, not just a cool, sugary, afternoon treat between classes. Burger prices are on par with In N Out yet offer upper scale food options as well from dinner salads to complex sandwiches and burgers. IOW, good, inexpensive burgers. The fries are better than In N Out, too. They also make shakes, malts, sundaes, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. The line can get pretty long during meal times. There’s a variety of peppers offered at the ‘pepper bar.’

Gosh I love the charburgers here!!! The smokey meat flavor is so good, and just the thought of it makes me crave for more. I absolutely love how juicy the meat is, the toastyness of the bun, the creaminess of the mayo and the crunchy lettuce. I opt out of tomato and pickles. You have to try the burgers yourself. Though a bit expensive compared to in n out at about 4.00 a charburger w cheese(cheese costs extra) I would definitely still get it once in a while because it’s so worth it. The fries are alright, not sure if fresh or frozen they just taste whatever. I have to try their handshake malts one day. The workers there are really nice compared to some of the other dining options at SDSU. I’m so glad I go to state and have the chance of going here whenever. *Beware the lines are pretty long during lunch hours*

Cheap, quality burgers AND $ 1 ice cream cones on campus!!! If you love that hint of charcoal taste on your burger, this is the place to go. I love getting the charburger(no pickle, no mayo, add avocado) and their cones. But beware of those out-the-door lines during lunch, they’re probably the busiest restaurant of all the campus restaurants.

I just grabbed food here this evening in between classes. I must say, there is a serious lack of evening-summer options on the SDSU campus. Seeing as I’m on a bit of a health kick I was so torn with only The Habit and Chipotle being available(and virtually no time to leave campus to grab something else). I ordered a Veggie Burger with a Lettuce Bun and a Side Salad with Fat Free Italian dressing. I was really thankful that they provided such healthy options with no hassle whatsoever and a decent price. The Veggie Burger was not better than a stove top or microwave one from the grocery store, but hey I enjoy those quite a bit. The lettuce bun was fresh, they piled on raw red onion, tomato and cucumber that tasted fresh enough for a college campus burger joint. The side salad had cucumber, tomato, lettuce and crutons and was a decent size. All in all, not even close to the best meal I’ve ever had, not the best burger, but healthy enough, convenient and fairly priced. As Arnold would say… I’ll be back.

Cheap! Friendly service, conveniently located in sdsu campus. Finally a burger joint I can go to after classes and/or work. Every time I come in I am greeted right away. Every time I get my food I get a hey how are you. Wait is a little long even if there is no one in the restaurant but the burger comes out so fresh I can understand why. I don’t know how I’ve slept on a place like this for this long. Probably going to be a go-to

This place just makes SDSU so much better. I really like the sweet potato fries and other uncommon menu items like fried tempura. The burger patties here taste damn good. It can get really crowded during peak lunch times, but the line moves swiftly. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat on campus.

My day was going poorly, then I went to get dinner at the habit. When seeing the line I only expected it to get worse. However, they moved the line so efficiently it hardly felt like a wait at all! When it was my turn to order the cashier, Brittany, was very helpful and friendly. I had some questions about the menu, and she answered them with no hesitation! She made my experience at the habit one to remember! You could tell she really enjoyed her job. I got my food to eat in and sat in one of the taller booths, after retrieving my food in a timely manner, I found my Santa Barbra style burger and onion rings to be exquisite. While enjoying my burger, Brittany came up to my table, and offered to grab me some napkins and even a refill, talk about customer service! Overall, this was a great experience that really made my day! Thanks habit crew!

I absolutely love The Habit! I’m from Santa Barbara where The Habit originated and this restaurant is definitely on par with the original. I like my burgers well done so I just make sure to order them well. They also have the best onion rings. The crew is always to pleasant and always seem to have a great chemistry with each other. Highly recommended.

The Habit has become a once a week burger binge now. Oh my! I have yet to try anything except the Char Burger combo #1. It has gone up to $ 7.02, but still a good deal for the amount of food and refills. If you need a Habit, make sure you catch this one!

Very good burger… quality ingredients and always fresh… the fries are good also… the combo meal prices are great and they are very filling… definitely worth checking out… I would say it is very similar to «in n out»

Wow. $ 2 burgers??? AND on camus? OMG. Why has this place not been here when I was a freshmen? Anyways, the line here is always long but so worth it. What I really like about this place is how there are actually kitchen staff who makes your food not student workers… so the food is always consistent. I got the cheeseburger(~$.50 extra for the cheese) and the french fries. The burger was SOO fresh and delicious! The bun was well toasted and the meat tasted really good as well. I was shocked that a $ 2 burger can taste so good. Way fresher and better than Jack in the Box or McDonalds. The fries were SOOOOOO bomb. Omg and its so cheap too! Extremely crunchy and not soggy at all. Overall I was a very satisfied customer and will be coming back to try out all the other burgers.:) I recommend: — Cheeseburger — French fries

So normally, I don’t write updates until a significant time frame has passed, but I am dropping my rating because I got food poisoning here. Ugh. I was out from work for 3 days, and I hate taking days off work. I don’t know if it was from the meat or the ranch dressing, but after that experience, I am NEVER coming back here again. For anyone else who wants to eat here… it is good, but proceed with caution.

Unfortunately everything else was closed on campus since its summer and I had to resort to Habit. I’ve had habit once before and thought it was just OK but I had a much different experience today. First, I waited in line for about 20 minutes when there was only one guy ahead of me. Second, I ordered half fries/onion rings.(I hadn’t had onion rings in forever so I thought I would try theirs out). Third, as I was waiting for my food, chicken sandwich and fries, there was a worker that had a checklist and was looking at the condiment area. Some limes, lemons, and jalapeños were on the counter and not in their little container… SHEPUTTHEMBACKINTHECONTAINER. Through my experience, I got an unsanitary feeling and a long wait. The cashier was nice. Food was OK. oh and the half fries and onion rings, I got about 3 onion rings. It was a bit humorous but I wasn’t about to complain that I didn’t get enough onion rings.(I’ll post pictures)

Been wanting to try this place for a couple months now and glad I got to go. The prices are very reasonable. About 3 for a single burger and 4 for a double. I got a single with sweet potato fries and it was decent sized but nothing really special about it. It was plump and had some good toppings but I still prefer in n out The line is always long as the freshman can purchase this meal on their meal plan. The line goes pretty fast and the wait isn’t very bad either.

Habit Burger here has great friendly service and their menu is delicious. With a menu that could please anyone from your vegetarian friend to your meat-lover boyfriend, this place is a great hang out spot. I personally order the double char burger with cheese and a grilled pineapple with the fries and vanilla shake. I have ordered it probably 6 times and the taste never fails me. I have never had to wait for more than 10 minutes for my meal, despite those LONNNNNNG lines and there is plenty of space for everyone to consume their meal.
