I have only had the opportunity to try one of Jo’s goodies but boy did it leave a lifetime impression! I ordered the Peanut Butter Cake for a friends Birthday party and EVERYONELOVEDIT!!! I am now ordering two cakes for two additional functions and may just have to order a third for the heck of it! Words simply cannot describe how amazing this cake was!

First, my husband is British, so I don’t say this lightly, this bakery is HANDSDOWN, the BEST place in San Diego to get authentic British baked goods! Not only are the products just out of this world good, the service we received we exceptional! For those of you who do not know what Banoffee Pie is, TRY it here! Like me, you will be hooked! Don’t even get me started about the Queen Victoria Sponge Cake! It’s DEVINE! And the Rum Cake! HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

Can you say OHMYGOOOODNESS!!! You will… just try anything this woman(Jo) makes! She is at the Farmers Market in Hillcrest on Sundays and my BF and I are always so excited to see what we get to try next! We’ve had everything she has had from Lemon Bars, Scones(of course), cupcakes, cakes, macaroons w/chocolate, bread pudding… I could go on but I will just say that being we always went to Extraordinary Deserts(prior to finding her), and we were sadly mistaken thinking we wouldn’t ever have better… her chocolate cake is the moistest perfectly balanced chocolate I’ve ever had! Her lemon cake, which usually isn’t a fav. of mine, is now my absolute favorite!!! Her German Chocolate the day I had it had a hit of rum in it… now, I’m not a rum fan but, my BFLOVED it! I cannot say enough about her dedication to make the best possible goodies! I loved that her layered(3 different choc layered) light, dark then darker had frosting on each layer… not just a litlle, a good amount… rather have more than one wants then not enough… and her frosting is so awesome that you want a thick layer!!! I cannot wait to have her make my birthday cake!!! Final comment, the prices… check for yourself, a piece of cake from E.D. is anywhere from 10 – 13.00… a slice… her’s 5.00 at the FM and yes, it’s a BIG piece! Her prices are well under what she is charging but, let’s not tell her that! :)

Oh wow oh wow oh wow oh WOW! I saw the booth at the SR Farmers Market, and their bread pudding caught my eye. I bought a literal chunk of that along with a «slice»(which was the size of 2 typical slices) of the chocolate mousse cake. The bread pudding was good as expected, but the chocolate mousse cake really blew me away. It was super fluffy and moist, amazingly tasty frosting and glaze. The only disappointment I experienced was when I told my wife that there was a strawberry sponge cake, and I didn’t buy a slice of that too. I won’t make that mistake next time!

I have been selling The London Bakery selling their goodies at various farmers markets, mostly at the Rancho Bernardo Winery… perfect setting for this classic British look of tea time and great pastries! The owner is British and, of course, has that lovely accent that makes you want that. The rum cake is awesomely delicious and the raspberry princess as pretty as good it tastes! The queen of hearts jam tarts are my favorite all the time, although they don’t carry that variety in all the fairs. Very good home made baked pastries and a cute stand.
