I found out about her through a friend and I’ve been seeing her for about 3 – 4 years now. She’s great because she’s realistic and honest. You tell her what you want and she will tell you how your particular hair will react to it. Not only that– she will train you on how to do what you want on your own at home and what tools you’ll need. Her vibes are genuine. She knows what she’s doing and she works hard. You can trust this woman and her professionalism. Her intuition is keen and she will utilize it to gauge your wants and desires so that you walk out of the salon feeling like a confident new person.
In addition, the atmosphere of the salon is relaxing. Parking is easy. Has beverages, snacks and coffee. It’s just the right size: clean, and so chic. I’d recommend this salon and Natalie to anyone.

What a wonderful stylist! I have the best experience with Daniz. She has given me one of the best haircuts ever! I can now freely wear my hair down with minimal product when I am on the go. I am very happy with the customer service she provides as well. She always offers coffee, tea and other beverages to keep me comfortable during my visits. I would recommend Daniz for any service. I especially love how she styles for any occasion. If you are looking to switch up your look, try her out! You won’t be disappointed.

LOVE THIS SALON! I had my hair done by Natalie for the second time and absolutely love her work. She is extremely talented and professional when it comes to her work. She definitely knows what will look best on each of her clients. The salon is very clean and the décor is beautiful. Highly recommend trying it out!

After a horrible experience at another salon, Deniez saved my hair! Made an appointment last minute and she was able to accommodate me. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted and she kept my hair’s integrity. I have already gotten a lot of compliments on it. Deniez is so friendly and the salon has a great all around vibe to it. So glad I found this place because it’s for sure my go to salon from now on.

Natalie is the one, very welcoming, very professional, she knows what she is doing, she gave me exactly what i was looking for. the Salon is very clean, comfy and you feel home! easy parking as well.

5 stars would not be enough to rate Deniez. I would give her 10 stars if I could! I went to see Deniez after 3 months of not having haircut because my previous hairdresser had resigned from the Salon and she is nowhere to be found. It was difficult for me trusting another stylist to do my hair, but the ends of my hair are already dying and desperately needed a cut. Im so glad a client of Deniez referred me to her, so I set up an appointment online at her website, which was very easy. I saw her today and the end result was AH-​mazing. I could not stop touching my hair and looking in the mirror while driving home, I almost bumped the car in front of me! I am definitely coming back. Thank you, Deniez!

Love this salon! Have been going there since it opened in August. It is such a cute place and the staff is amazing. I highly recommend master stylist and owner Daniz! She has been cutting and coloring my hair for almost a year and she is the only one to will trust to do it! She has taught me so much about my hair.

WOW, this salon is very professional, clean and comforting. The stylists are great, and Daniz and Natalie are friendly and experienced owners. They take care of you while working on your hair, and are very knowledgeable on the services they provide. They will create a friendly environment where you can feel comfortable talking to them about your hair and what you want. I had Daniz as my stylist, and she was simply AMAZING. I would highly recommend this salon, because I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed as they will work with you to get you what you want!

I’ve been a client of TRU Salon for 6 months now (specifically Deniez) and I can not be happier!!! I found them through a friends recommendation and I’ve had nothing but a great experience every time I’ve gotten my hair done.
I ended up getting a really bad haircut and color at another salon and needed a color and repair expert to fix the damage t
hat had been done.
Not only did Deniez fix my hair but it felt and looked better than ever. She did an all over highlight and contrasted it with lowlights to repair the color and I could not have been happier. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and even brought out the color guide book to walk me through the colors to ensure I was comfortable with everything.
She also recommended the Global Keratin Treatment to repair the damage the other stylist had caused and I am so glad she did. My hair is so much smoother and healthier. I think in other reviews some people mistake this treatment for a Brazilian blowout. Though this also smooths hair it is not a specifically hair straightening/​smoothing treatment. It infuses the hair with keratin and throughout repeated treatments you will notice a definite difference but the first time the actual appearance of your hair will not be that dramatic. Especially right after. However as you wash, style, and apply heat and damage to your hair the treatment makes it stronger allowing for a smoother and healthier looking head of hair. I’ve had both treatments and though my hair was straighter after the Brazilian blowout as it should have been it was definitely not as healthy and vibrant as I noticed from the Global Keratin Treatment.
I highly recommend this salon specifically Deniez to anyone who wants individualized, top of the line service by someone who is highly educated in the art of hair design and truly wants each individual to be happy with their hair.

I would like to give 0 or negative rating for this salon but there is’nt any option for that. Me and my friend where searching for a salon who does the keratin treatment and find TRU salon. By going through the reviews in Unilocal we decided to go there (THIS WAS OUR BIGGEST MISTAKE). I have a long and frizzy hair, I badly need a smoothing treatment, Daneiz was my hair stylist she said they will apply the product 1^st, blow dry and then straightening my hair. Usually to apply the product at least it would take 20 – 30 mins as they have to make sure that the product is applied properly from root to end but this lady did not even touch the ends or the scalp properly, it took just 5 to 10 mins for her to apply I thought there would be a second round to apply the product but no. I felt she does not want to use more product.
Altogether she completed the whole process with in 45 mins (hair wash, applying product, blow dry and straightening for my hip — length hair). When I asked her that why she is using such little amount of product she said it is not required to use more. I felt like I just went their to have a straighten my hair (which I can do it at home as well), but I was assuming may be after washing my hair after 48 hours I could see the difference but trust me my hair is still frizzy and unmanageable. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED AND SUGGESTING NOT TO PREFER THIS SALON AT LEAST FOR KERATIN TREATMENT.
A part from all of these I took $ 110 of coupon for $ 150 worth which is of no use as she charged me $ 250 which mean I ended up paying $ 210 for absolutely WORTHLESS TREATMENT.

I’ve said it once I’ll say it again. I love Natalie.
Tru is the only place I trust going for my thick curly hair, Natalie is so awesome. She’s extrnely educated on all the science behind how to take care of your hair and provides you with the best information on how to treat you hair.
She took my hair from dark brown to really blonde. I constantly get compliments on the blonde color job she did.
Never pushy or forceful about our hazing products. But always has the best products for my hair. She listens to exactly what you want and never fails to exceed my expectations.
The salon is the cutest shabby modern chic with huge windows that provide beautiful natural lighting. They have a kerug with awesome coffees and Starbucks tazo teas along with snacks and candies.
If you can’t tell already I’m a huge fan.

For me this wasn’t the easiest place to find, and it’s in a dated, nondescript building, but once I got inside the salon — Wow! It’s really hip, comfortable and fun. I can’t say enough about the service. I got my color and cut done by Natalie who was recommended by a good friend, and absolutely loved her! My hair looks and feels great. Going back for sure!

I had my nails done by Bonnie and she was fantastic! She really took her time and made my toes and fingers look beautiful! The salon is very beautiful and modern, overall I was very impressed and I will definitely be back.

I have been coming to Natalie for years and have never been disappointed by her spectacular work professionalism. She makes sure her clients are 100% satisfied and will be honest with her advice on her hair. You can tell she has passion for what she does, not to mention the new awesome salon Natalie is in!

Great service! I love how my hair feels after the Global Keratin treatment (plus the chemicals didn’t irritate my eyes at all like with the previous treatments I had tried).
Daniz did a great job and I am very happy that she didn’t let me cut my hair super short haha. A cozy, fashionable hair salon that gives you mimosas and has an awesome service is always a jewel to be found and I was lucky to have it close to home: D.
It’s kinda hidden so just look for the sign as there are more companies in the same building.

Finally! A hair stylist I can commit to.
You want to know how I first found TRU? I quite literally chased down a girl walking to her car who’s blonde was so perfect and beautiful that I just HAD to know who did her hair.
Enter: Natalie.
I’m blonde, and Natalie is consistently able to provide that perfect/​/​bright/​/​non brassy/​/​non fake looking color that I so desire. I’ve also seen her for a Global Keratin treatment and my hair is now much, much smoother and shiny. I’ve gotten other keratin treatments done (for the same price) and wasn’t nearly as impressed as I was with GK (I’ve done Brazilian Blowout and another brand of Keratin called Marrakesh).
I have to say I really appreciate that Natalie is so real with clients. She doesn’t try and sell you something you don’t need (which is ironic, given that I’ve purchased more products from her than I have from any other salon). If you’re spending a lot getting multiple treatments done, she works with you on price (have you ever even heard of such a thing? #thank you #yourockNatalie). She’s also just a nice, down to earth person, which is really refreshing (I hate feeling like my stylist is talking down to me, which I’ve experienced at other salons in San Diego).
To be honest I don’t live close to the salon at all, but it’s a straight shot up the 15 from where I’m at and it was actually conveniently located right off the freeway with easy parking (who wants to drive to a salon in downtown or mission valley at 4pm with 5 million stoplights/​/​bumper to bumper traffic/​/​and no parking? Not me!). It’s also simply a beautiful space — tasteful, nice wood floors, and a very clean, warm feel.
Basically you just need to go. Like now.
