UPDATESTORENOWCLOSED: This place is a hidden OB Gem. Great for retro home and garden furniture, eye catching planters. Urban Upcycle transforms americana into hip repurposed classics. It is absolutely chock full of those memorial knick-knacks of the past at great value. I stop by to window shop every time I visit OB. It’s conveniently located just as you come off the highway 8 and Sunset at the corner Voltaire.

Stopped in to Urban Upcycle to browse around. Cute little shop with various items including repurposed and refurbished tables, chairs, art, decorative items, and some jewelry. The owner was very friendly and seems to have a passion for what she does. Great addition to the neighborhood!

Urban Upcycle is a recent addition to Ocean Beach that definitely fits in with the vibe and culture of this small town. It specializes in recycled and reinvented household and garden items that are hand-crafted from recycled bits and parts. You can find everything from jewelry boxes to planters to wall art at affordable prices. Some items are made by the owner while others are crafted by local artisans. In addition, there are vintage items that haven’t been re-purposed, but they’re still cool. This quaint shop has only been open for around a month, and it’s easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. I’m sure that I’ll be a frequent visitor since it’s right down the street.
