We stayed at the broadway location 2 bdrm apartment 101 for approx 90 days in the summer. I am still mad about it and its December. You could not PAYME to stay again. From the moment I called to set up to look at the place there were problems. There isn’t an office at that location so you have to set up an appointment at the state st location. I had an issue almost daily I got tired of calling I didn’t want to seem like such a nit picker but I felt like they were big problems. I have so many issues I think I’ll just make a list: No A/C !!! No fans only heaters and hot stale air and prayer for a good breeze Something was always broken Maintenance doesn’t speak English or at least pretends not to Parking spaces are supposed to be assigned but they aren’t kept up with Front desk staff don’t communicate from one shift to another or maybe also pretends not to Horrible spider problem Police visited the property at least once a week You have to pay additional for housekeeping The front gate had a key broken in it for over a week Cameras don’t work Horrible cell phone reception and house phone cuts off Everyone knows the gate code Coin laundry and they don’t have a coin machine or card reader although they said they would be adding one July 1 and never did Park in the garage at your own risk or park on the street and watch out for street sweeping days and hope you don’t get side swiped by speeding cars on that hill Requires 30 day notice to vacate My biggest complaint is the communication. We asked to do a move out pre-inspection because we were moving overseas and already had enough stress to deal with so they sent a non English speaking house keeper so I called the front desk and I asked what she said. We made sure it was clean and did what she asked. We called them 2 days later asking about the deposit to find that we had numerous ridiculous charges coming out of our deposit(which we didn’t receive til way later) and probably wouldn’t have found out about it unless we called because they forgot to mention it during the inspection or the two days after we moved out while we were still in town. We made sure to do what they asked but they still charged us. So my suggestion go stay in a hotel or something at least even if you are slightly annoyed you won’t pay almost 1800 for it and at least it comes with free housekeeping.

I’ll be straight up with this review — I have both good and bad to report. This place was good for what we needed it to be — it was a scantly furnished apartment, but we were staying there temporarily, so it worked out for us. The apartment wouldn’t have been a good fit if we had been planning on staying long-term, but since it was temporary, it worked perfect. The furniture was decent, as was the kitchen equipment, and the apartment overall was quite nice. We had just moved across the country and needed a temporary place to call home, so it was exactly what we wanted/needed. That being said, the management here SUCKS. They are far from helpful. When we were staying at their Broadway location, their parking garage was super disorganized. You had a «set spot» but quite often, when someone new moved in, your spot would be given away and all of a sudden there would be a car in your spot. I’m normally a super chill chick, so no issues there, a simple call would resolve the issue. However, not with Vantaggio. They didn’t even keep a record of who was in what spot, and when I would call to say that someone was parked in my spot, they wouldn’t know who it was, and wouldn’t know what new spot to assign me to. It happened on multiple occasions, so I just started parking anywhere in the garage. Upon move-out I figured we’d have a problem getting our deposit back, which we did. I took videos and pictures when moving in and out, and kept them as evidence — just in case. Thank goodness I did! If you stay here, I’d advise you to do the same. A portion of our deposit was just refunded back to our card — nearly two months after our move-out date. I honestly had forgotten about the deposit, since so much time had passed, but when I saw only a portion of it had been refunded, I knew there was something wrong. We had left the apartment in even better condition than it had been when we moved in. It was SPOTLESS(and I’m a clean freak! :) I called Vantaggio yesterday to discuss the remainder of the deposit, and was told that we didn’t get our full amount back because the apartment was left dirty and a lot of trash had to be removed. I sent them the video we had taken, which clearly shows the condition of the apartment on move-out day(spotlessly clean), and followed up with a phone call this morning. I was hung up on EIGHTTIMES. I’m normally a super easy going individual. I don’t care if you have trouble keeping track of the parking garage, or have poor customer service, or even made a mistake and should have given me the whole deposit back. But I do NOT appreciate being hung up on by the head manager, Alexander, 8 times in a row(over the course of 4 hours!) At times, my calls weren’t even answered since the number was recognized. I even had to call on several of my coworkers’ phones! I would call the office, he would answer, I would introduce myself and say why I was calling, and he would hang up. Several times he would answer and say«Vantaggio Suites» and I would only get in a hello before he recognized my voice and hung up. I understand if you don’t want to talk to me, but hanging up on someone is not only rude, it’s incredibly unprofessional. After my eight failed attempts, I had my boyfriend call. He didn’t introduce himself right off the bat, and Alex answered the phone and talked to John(my bf). Once he realized what John was actually calling about, he got a really bad attitude and was incredibly short and nasty while answering my boyfriend’s questions. I honestly didn’t feel the need to write about the poor customer service until today. I’m not usually one to bitch unless I feel there is an actual need. But I’m sure we’re not the only people dealing with the poor customer service, and I’m positive we’re not the only ones who are having a portion of their deposit stolen. It’s simply unprofessional for a manager at an apartment complex to physically hang up on a customer. They were more than happy to chat when I was signing my lease originally — it’s so unfortunate when companies can’t provide a positive customer experience through a whole relationship.

Well, I wish I could write review that would give you a better description of the place, but I never even got a chance to stay here. I requested a room, I was asked to confirm the dates, and I e-mailed them back. A few days pass and I don’t hear anything, so I e-mailed again. and again. and again. and called. Still, nothing. Finally, somebody contacts me to tell me that they had already given the room away. Really? Not a way to run a business, although I think that I dodged a bullet. If they can’t even manage their reservations, I don’t want to think what else would slip through the cracks. Stay at your own risk.

I was in San Diego from out of state looking for an apt, as I has accepted a job here. I saw an add for the location of Broadway so I called the contact #. I was told no one could show me an apt. there until the next week, even though I explained I would not be in the area then. Well it was easy to take my business elsewhere. Thank you Vantaggio as I found great lodging elsewhere at a lesser price.
