This is the best personal training in San Diego hands down. My trainer is even willing to train me wherever is most convenient for me. We worked out at Mission Bay, my home, and even my office parking lot on my lunch break. The workouts have been incredible… I have never had this much fun exercising. The sessions are super cheap. Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed. The workouts are cutting edge and super effective. I have already lost 45lbs!

Well, after benefiting from dozens of Unilocal reviews, it’s time to give back: A few months ago, I was looking for a good personal trainer who could integrate MMA training into the sessions. The combination of a well educated personal trainer who is personable and can teach real MMA skills is hard to find. Luckily, I found an online ad for Gareth Joseph of Victory MMA Mobile Personal Training. In the spring of 2010, I was working with a great kettlebell and MMA trainer who had to shut down his gym near my office. I didn’t expect to find another trainer with a solid combination of fitness skills, fighting skills, a great personality and convenience. You can usually find 2 or 3 of those qualities, but not all. Well, thankfully, Gareth is the real deal. In addition to being a certified Crossfit and personal trainer, he is a professional MMA fighter. He knows firsthand what training techniques lead to effective conditioning. He knows how and when to make subtle yet important adjustments in your form and movement to maximize results in conditioning and fight skills. One thing that’s important to note: His sessions are tailored to the individual. While fight training is an option, it certainly isn’t required. He comes to your house with a customized truck full of exercise equipment,…kettlebells, mats, barbells, pull up bars, Dynamxax balls, ab equipment, etc. There’s a full gym magically packed on a rail system in his truck. Time for pull ups… he slides out the bar, snaps a couple pieces together and you’re doing pull ups. Time for dead-lifts? Out slides the bar and weights and you’re lifting a few seconds later. You should call him just to see the truck. Finally, I was a bit cautious at first, thinking that a professional MMA guy will probably have a big ego, or will run his sessions like a Marine Corps drill sergeant. Nope. Gareth is super-friendly and puts you at ease, while all the while motivating you to keep pushing.
